Excellent service, wonderful & spotless room, acknowledged at the time of arrival by hotel manager for my third return at Sofitel Frankfurt, great breakfast and location. Hotel bar staff is always kind and warm and welcomed us again.

« Inconsistent service »

The hard products of the hotel is really good, however, services tends to be inconsistent. We arrived with nine luggages but unfortunately, there was no one to help us with our luggages until I told the receptionist at check in. Unlike all my previous stay at the other Sofitel, my Platinum status was not regcongised. The next day when I was asking for directions to the nearest convenience store, the receptionist gave me a rude reply. Despite all those, services at the hotel bar and restaurant was really really good!

I very much enjoyed staying at your hotel. The location was superb and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It is probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.

Very nice hotel in a central location. The beds were absolutely amazing, I mean amazing, the most comfortable bed I have ever been in in my life, I want one !!!! Breakfast was excellent as well, what are view.

« Poor TV channels »

There was no Eurosport nor BBC. In general the selection of TV channels is poor. I also stay at the Hilton in Frankfurt and their TV selection is excellent. The management should spend a night there and compare against the Sofitel to understand the client experience since guests spend a lot of time in their rooms! I had to move rooms and still the TV channels never worked!

« Good hotel in a great location - just some misses »

In our 2 weeks travel through Europe, this was the only AccorHotels property (out of 5) which proactively offered a Platinum LCAH member an upgrade. Thank you. We arrived and proceeded with the check in formalities and were told that we had been upgraded through the room wasn't ready. We waited for awhile which wasn't a problem. After a long drive the lobby felt very welcoming. We were given a Junior Suite overlooking the park which had a balcony as well. Again very functional design and the wonderful Sofitel MyBed. Welcome amenities were in the room with a note from the GM. Some shortfalls: - The TV cupboard isn't very well designed. Opening the doors, they swing back closed again. So to watch TV you need to prop something against the cupboard door so you can watch. - For some reason we did not have a toilet (WC) door. It used to be there, and the wall hinges were covered with ugly grey tape. - A new Accor trial is the Skinjay pods for the shower. They are great. But here the housekeeping forgot (?) to replenish the pods. Two major shortfalls: - Breakfast is VERY limited. Restaurant is also not proactive in offering kitchen items (ie cooked eggs etc) - there is no buffet menu for you to select eggs etc. Only when you ask, do they simply ask what you want. Greeter at Breakfast also needs to multitask a bit. We were shown to our table but she wasn't willing to take a coffee order. - Second big shortfall is: WHY does a NEW Sofitel built so recently not have a Club Millesime???

« Best Hotel Stay Ever!!! »

A gloomy end of my personal trip as I stayed only 1 night before heading back home after a 2 week short holiday in Europe. However the staff and the hotel at Sofitel Frankfurt made it memorable and lovable for me, changing my mood from negative to finishing with a high. Upon checking in I was provided an ungrade due to my le Accor status however wasn’t a room to my liking. After speaking to the manager of the day I was able to change to a room that I had in mind and I was absolutely delighted. With only less than 24 hours to spare in frankfurt, concierge Andy made many accomodating recommendations and also solved a few issues that I anticipate to encounter during my stay. Oliver, the other concierge topped it up by touching up my final queries at night. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay, the team was highly attentive, with care and sophistication to every detail during my stay and made me feel like I already want to fly back in a plane despite a 24 hour journey. we were traveling with a family of 5 stayed at the sofitel for 2 nights and booked 2 nights at the Frankfurter Hof upon returning from Paris. We felt so comfortable and happy at the Sofitel during the first 2 days, that I called my travel agent to cancel the Frankfurter Hof and book is at the Sofitel Upon arrival at Sofital i was told breakfast is not included. That was a surprise to me, after checking out the next morning at 7 am to catch a flight back to the US i saw on my bill that breakfest was included After asking the person at the counter I was told i had to take this up with my travel agent. An answer i did not expect as i was told at check in it was not included. After explaining the issue the person simply kept repeating that I need to talk to the travel agent. I asked for the GM as i wanted a credit, if I would ve obviously eaten breakfest at the Sofitel versus the airport. I am a hotel owner myself in the US, the morning staff failed to deliver the service a customer should expect after staying at the hotel at 4 different occasions within 10 days I was expecting an apologize, however all I received is the dance message - Talk to your travel agent “

« Room downgrade without any prior information »

The staff was excellent. Very helpful and caring. However, we were downgraded from a nice room with a bathtub to a basic room without any bath tub just because I complained about the noise in the first room. No information was provided that the downgraded room didn’t have a bathtub. Couple of the stuff did give us weird looks and no smile at all for no apparent reason

Great hotel with fantastic Rooms. Service has improved a lot! Platinum Membership Accor was very well recognized. ***** thanks for late check out! *** Restaurant Schoenemann could improve a lot still. The design is great. Hotel should decide for french cuisine with additional local dish. Bar is great. * The way to (external) Fitness has been a nightmare. Room card was not working. I have been blocked in the "Zwischengeschoss" in the dark since I could not press any lift button. The building is confusing, I came in my bathrobe to Floor 0 finally. I was somehow outside the hotel standing the Main Street. There is no Button to Ring reception. Coincidentally a Worker of the building came to help me.

« So French nice-located hotel »

Hotel has one of the best locations in Frankfurt next to Old Oper. Very polite and helpful staff, nice rooms, beautiful lobby. It is much more calm than Sofitel Munich, cosy and spacious. We asked for a late check out and hotel satisfied our request.

« Excellent Town Hotel 4-5 Stars, best location in Frankfurt »

The hotel is perfect! The rooms amazing, location best in Frankfurt next to Old Opera! Parking confusing. But great you can go from the rooms directly to parking. The restaurant is too basic for the price level. Mixture between French and German Cuisine does not work. The restaurant should focus on French food and should add 2/3 dishes from Germany. The way to the SPA is very confusing. Doors not opening with my room card. You are out of the hotel since the SPA and swimming pool seeme to be part of fitness center (external). I will come again!
