my stay in novotel , melaka is very satisfying. from the officer at the door, smiling staff at the counter to the other staffs we met along the way welcome drinks to the guest room. the room size also spacious. all are good, accept for this three things: 1. the bathroom door cannot be locked and the screen supposed to screen the shower and bathroom area can be accessible from outside the bathroom by anybody including kids - that is not good - invading privacy. maybe a good idea for newly married couple but generally not good for others. 2. there is a lot of dust below the bed. 3. there is no fire escape signage seen along the corridor from the lift to the room. in case of emergency there would be confusion on the direction to run.

Good Day, I’m extremely upset with my stay with NOVOTEL in Melaka. Firstly, we requested for 5 rooms to be at the same level 11th floor and in addition we booked 3 rooms to check in the following next day and as promised all will be on the same level 11th. However, the next morning I was told that our 3 rooms supposed to be at 11th floor was replaced to 8th floor and otherwise it will be 2 rooms at 11th and 1 Room at 12th. The Novotel staffs is extremely rude, did not helped but still argue with me. I’m kind to forget and split the rooms apart, after our trip in Melaka. It’s about 2am, our electricity kept tripped even if we slot in our hotel room card into the slot. It goes again and again for about 20mins, we called operator and requested to change of room. As even without the card slotted , the electricity, aircon and lights is still on! I told your operator to change room and not feeling good in this room, your staff told me that how come am I not feeling good and asked your maintanence up and checked. We waited about 30mins till past 3am, we only get our room changed because of your unreasonable staff that picked up our call. Thanks to your hospitality and service for our 3 night days. This will be my last stay in Novotel. Best Regards Decian Khor

Value for the money and I enjoyed my stayed here. The only thing is that I was not allowed to check in earlier despite I have requested thru agoda and personally call in. We was working until late night and we thought we can have a rest once we reach the hotel but we are told that even if we request normally they do not have rooms available for check in before 3pm. The side reading lights is not working well and dangerous. When we switch it on you can hear the 'buzz' sound. The breakfast is not up to the standard and not value for money

Late check in around 11pm. Exhausted from long travel with family. Booked the room using Accor apps, specifically request for baby cot. Once checked in, I once again reminded front office to provide baby cot. At the same time, i heard their phone kept ringing without them even bother to pick up. Enter the room, freshen up. Tried to call room service for food and guess what, my calls were not picked up. I had to come down to tell that my baby cot is not coming, My family and I are hungry and i cannot order any food from the cafe. Only after serious scolding, then they attend to my request but without them blaming each other for being incompetent between the front office and cafe guy.

A very nicely designed hotel. Great experience for our little family. Cleanliness of the room, however, could be improved. Breakfast was average but there was an ample space for eveyone.

Hotel exterior looks new & clean but the interior was disappointing. 1. Blood stain on bedsheet; 2. bad acoustic from whizzing sound outside window and running water sound from above; 3. Amenities not complete 4. Online check in has obviously defeats its purpose 5. Wifi horribly slow

« Better than we thought, location excellent. »

Overall, good, but coffee needs to be hot at breakfast. We were upgraded to Executive room which was a very pleasant surprise, reception staff very helpful and knowledgeable about Club Card.
