Not feeling prompt response from Housekeeping, called 3 times to get an extra towel which took almost 2 hrs. Was wondering even 2nd call I’m still not getting the response though was informed by the staff offer phone, they will send.

The rooms were Comfortable. However, coffee stain were found in 1629. Executive rooms are a little too small. Room service orders were delivered wrongly. With no apology, items on the plate were different from the menu.

« Unsatisfactory stay »

Inefficient & uninterested staff. Room amelt of cigarette smoke when I checked in- the hotel is non-smoking! Second room toilet flush was not working + toilet light was flickering. Breakfast buffet spread was miserable + food & cutlery + utensils were not topped up. Such a lousy stay. I would never recommend this Hotel!

Check in and check out was fast and staff was polite. Hotel is nicely decorated. Room was clean. However Buffet breakfast was a bit bland. On 12 Mar ard 2320 hours, a housekeeping personnel came to our room and handed over 2 towels. Do take note that we did not asked for any extras N. do we call for housekeeping that day. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay and would stay at the hotel for our next visit.

fast for check in, clean and neat room, have a good staff and the way they talk to customer so polite and with nice smile, the food okay can be improve..before i check in, i read all the review about Novotel although most of them give negative feedback which i almost cancel my stay at Novotel but for my experience staying there its not sure its because im staying at executive premier room thats why they treat me well but for me i like staying there.

Room maintenance was not that good. The toilet blinds was dirty. Breakfast was below our expectations. Not much choice and they served same food for both days. Taste was ok only. Location was not so accessible especially if you're too tired after a long day shopping or visits to the historical places, you wouldnt want to walk back to the hotel which took more than 15mins from Dataran Pahlawan. We booked 2 rooms. I was askes to put RM200 as deposits while my sister was only ask to put RM100. We both booked the same type of room. I even made full payment via website whereas my sister only make payment at the hotel. I dont know why theres double standards. After checkout, i received a missed call. I walked back to the hotel reception to ask if they tried to call me, the staff asked for RM20 as he claimed its for TRAVEL TAX! I asked how come it was not included in the room charges, staff unable to explain! Best part is, my sister was not asked for this additional charges. Staff said if this payment was not made, they will deduct from the RM200 which they supposed to charge from my credit card. Can the management of NOVOTEL explain on this?? Why is there a double standards and on what basis that i was charged so much for deposits and this travel tax whereas my sister who booked the same room type dont have to pay??

Staffs are friendly and provide good service. Breakfast selection are limited and also diffcult to find clean table. We asked the waitress to help get a table, she just replied free seating.....But none of the table were clean. Housekeeper should be more detail on cleaning the room. When I checked in the suite , one of the toilet was not flush properly. The premium lounge provide insufficient wine for guests. We were told no more wine around 630pm! what happen if the guests come after that timing. This shouldn't be the standard of accor group. Overall, is a nice stay at Novotel Melaka. Thank you.

« Was just ok »

First room smelled of smoke from smokers. Refused room. Was upgraded to executive room which was ok. Restaurant tables were not cleaned off often enough. Could not find one that was ready to be used. Had to clean off ourselves. Reception wanted to charge me tax twice. Once on check in, one on check out. No concierge to be found in morning.

Room was excellent. love the design. nice cold air conditioning Breakfast was okay. would like a bit more variety. needed quicker top-up but it might have just been a very busy weekend for the staff Parking validation procedure should be looked into. its too slow and tedious couldnt ask for much more for the rate i paid

I was given an upgrade to a suite. It was nice and spacious. However aircon in the room 1700 was not cold even after reducing the temperature.

The room was nicely designed and spacious. However the bath towels, even though smelled nice, has a greyish tinge, indicating that it has been used to wipe floors. The seat in front of the wardrobe has stains. The sink has stains, soap residue. It was not wiped or cleaned at all. The bath tub has a faulty knob, thus water was not able to drain. Did not use the bathtub at all even though it looked nice. It has hairs on it. The cleanliness of the place was unsatisfactory. Service staff was good and polite and professional.

We were greeted warmly by the professional and helpful service staff. The check-in process was seamless and quick, and we were delighted to know we were able to get an extra bed foc as we had booked for 3 guests. However, it took us 3 calls to finally have housekeeping bring the bed over, in which I feel the housekeeping team can be more prompt and urgent in their service. Some facilities in our room (810) were faulty too such as the shower curtain button, and the headboard light. These facilities could be repaired, and improved upon definitely

« My 3 nights stay at Novotel Malacca »

Except for the church in the rest of the stay is so so... We need to call operator to put hand towels, reminded the people who made room to top up tea bags. The toilet was constantly stained with back algae which is very noticeable but no attempt was made to remove them. The breakfast was very disorganised. Ladders and tongs were placed wrongly, sausage tray was a ladder ad baked beans was a tong. The chefs cooking the eggs were very disorganized. It showed lack of supervision at the restaurant.
