We came with high hopes to this hotel and were willing to pay a price, which we discovered to be way too high for what we received or was paid by other hotel clients. In summary: the quality of the dinner buffet was definitely below average, with a very few exceptions. Even classical Italian dishes were substandard. (The morning buffet was marginally better.) The pace of replenishing empty trays of food was tormentingly slow. The restaurant staff was borderline courteous. At a hotel of this rating, it is ridiculous to have no salt and pepper (let alone other condiments) on the table and forcing your guests to use salt and pepper out of paper sachets. The tables were never set the same: if you were lucky you would get a fork for pasta from the start; otherwise, you had to chase a waiter to get one. We had to complain before we got our sheets changed. We had to summon the reception staff in our room to show them that the cleaning personnel just covers the bed without bothering to flatten the sheets underneath. There was no soap or any other amenity in the hotel restrooms at the ground floor. On the good side, the reception team was very professional and efficient, as was the team at the beach. The pool was clean and the beach amenities were good, although the umbrellas are a little too close to each other. The hotel overall is aesthetically pleasing and at an excellent location. Besides our recommendation for radical changes in the sectors we mentioned above, you might want to consider offering food and drink (and cleaning afterwards!) at the beach. It is a lost income for you.

Staff and service was very nice. The room we got moved to was wonderful. The first room was so-so. The food overall was mediocre and disappointing. Buffet was often empty with no one around to re-fill.

Staff is superb as is location. Kitchen staff especially, with notice of the in house patisserie chef ho prepares fresh goodies every day and very high quality fish dishes. I however left a little necklace behind upon leaving the room, and am being frustrated at the efforts the hotel is making to try to retrieve it now that I am back home. It shouldn't be this hard. I am glad to amend the review as soon as the necklace pops up.

Reception staff needs more training: trying to enrol me, an already member with direct booking to Le Club. No ice delivery is possible — had to go to the bar by myself. Food is average, needs to be elevated.

Nice hotel BUT The road to get there is orribile . The air conditioning system was not working for the entire hotel . We did ask about , but the hotel said it was too early in the season meanwhile it was 25 degree. The wifi did not work properly.

Beautiful resort, beautiful rooms, beautiful beach, friendly staff - however there are many things that need attention especially now you are a Sofitel..... Waiting 20 minutes for coffee at breakfast. Housekeeping not leaving shampoo conditioner or glasses. There is no resort information to be found anywhere in the rooms. Please, please please get rid of the loudspeaker or turn it down, there are 200 guests on the beach who come to enjoy the sound of the sea and nature - we can all stay at home and listen to baby disco music if we want to - it costs less than staying at a beautiful resort - most days baby disco only had 3-5 guests and sometimes none at all - destroying the peace an nature of the beach.

I feel EXTREMELY disappointed regarding the SERVICE. From the moment we entered the hotel with my family (my parents, my husband and 9 month old baby) it was evident the lack of training of the staff. It took 3 hours, 4 staff members plus manager to find a room for us...they let us waiting in the entrance several hours and then made us bounce from one room to another other because they made once and again the same mistake of giving us single beds when we booked for doubles since we are 2 couples. They told me that they had issues because the hotel was full, when it was LOW season.... You would think the manager would be more trained or polite but no. The same thing happened for the check out. I regret choosing this hotel and living this whole experience. Plus WIFI didn't work.

The rate was half board but this was only a buffet. I am very allergic to fish as well as being sensitive to milk products. I managed to eat on the first night but no-one in thought to mention our second night was Fish Night. I could not even sit in the dining room but had to sit outside. The manager was helpful but it wasn't what we paid for when we booked.

The location is really ideal for relaxation. Beautiful place and great integration of the hotel into the landscape. Key highlight: the private beach so close to the swimming pool and the hotel. Comfortable and sober rooms. Very friendly service in the restaurant (breakfast and dinner). To be improved: - access to the sauna, hamam and indoor swimming pools should be free for residents (especially as relatively small area, nothing fancy). 30 Euro for 3 hours is outrageous, especially compared to many 4 or 5 stars hotels in Europe. - Breakfast could propose fresher products: fresh juices (orange, carrot, etc.). Also more fruits ans most important, RIPE fruits.

This was our 3rd stay at Capovaticano M Gallery resort. The environment and service was excellent as usual. However this time we had non-pleasant experience with our bill. I found out that a receptionist overcharged me 121 EUR for payment for my daughter's accommodation, which I paid from my VISA card at check-in. When I explained to them, without apology they said that they will take it off our extras bill at check-out. I had ACCOR vouchers for all extras (which expire soon), so I wanted to transfer the 121 EUR to my account. They said we will see at check out. At check out, they automatically took off 121 EUR from my extras. I asked them again, if they could transfer this amount back to my account. I wanted to pay all my extras with my vouchers, which would expire and I would lose the money. It took me altogether around 2 hours of negotiating to get to my goal. In the end, they said they will transfer money back to my account via VISA company. Why they did not do this right in the beginning of our conversation and why they wanted me to lose 121EUR because of their mistake? Is this the VIP treatment you are declaring in the benefits for gold and platinum members of ACCOR program?

I spent a week at Capovaticano and I had a very relaxing and pleasant stay. The hotel location is remote, but the premises are extremely beautiful, with a mix of nature, wood, contemporary decoration, and plants. The bedroom was ok although the beds were not the most comfortable ones and we ended up in a bedroom with a shower for person with disabilities which was not ideal (we were in room 111). The personnel at the reception is helpful, nice and nice. The hotel is clean and quiet, which helps relaxing! I had a good experience at the spa as well, the two ladies at the desk and the manager are extremely welcoming, polite, helpful and nice, then the quality of treatment was good, but it varies slightly from a person to another. Which is why it would be good and useful for the customer to be able to provide feedback on the treatments received directly to the Spa manager (on a simple form with scales for example) to maintain a high quality of care. Barbara aqua-yoga sessions were fantastic! The outdoor space is beautiful and also clean and spacious, wide-opened to the sea. We enjoyed the beach portion a bit as well. Food was very nice and diverse, waiters were a bit overwhelmed in the evening but overall it was fine. We had the pleasure to hear classical music one night next to the bar which was very pleasant. Thank you for this beautiful vacation!

Overall the stay was good apart from a few minor points. The main point of dissatisfaction was due the big black music box that the resort had and played very loudly at the pool each day at 11am for aqua robics which was always attended by 6 or 7 people, the music was so loud that everyone left the pool area and the other 200 people on the beach had their peace and tranquillity destroyed, again this happened every afternoon at 4pm. But the worst was at the evening meal when again the music box was wheeled out. We ate at 8.30 and only had 30 minutes of peace before the extremely loud music started, so loud that you could not hold a conversation, just so that 8 children could dance, we were thoroughly fed up with listening to the birdy song by the time we left. A shame since the chefs had worked so hard to provide such fantastic food, only to have it destroyed by the hotel management.
