very poor. when getting to the hotel there was 2 barriers which didn't say which one to use. I pay to stay in a room with a shower and this didn't work which i was very, very disappointing about. when i told the person at the desk he did say sorry and took a note of this, but i was not offered any compensation and a part refund. when i sat down to have breakfasts there was no sugar either with the food or on the table. when i told the person at resection he told me i had to go into another to get the sugar. after a while the sugar was put on the tables. for the money i payed i expect much better especial when i pay for a room with a shower that does not work. a very poor standard overall!

Took a number of goes to get them to open the barrier to let me drive in. I walked in to TVs blaring with men ready to watch football. I checked in, got myself a drink from the bar from a pleasant barmaid then made my way to my room and looked it firmly behind me. In my room all I could here was TVs blaring away. Room was nice and every was there for me. Breakfast was very impersonal and you just saw to yourself.

The hotel is ok, but its the case where you can say - its not that bad as there are worse hotels out there, however it could of been better. Very thin walls, doors. Not much privacy if neighbouring guests are noisy you will hear almost everything. Breakfast if horrible and very limited. Coffee machine makes 1 cup of hot drink per 2-3minutes. The place felt a bit dirty. Rooms are clean, however you can smell bleach and other chemicals when you check in, almost all the time happened to me. Wish it was better and more present to stay in, which it could of been with more effort and attention to details.

Room was not fit for purpose. I bumped my head on low ceilings at least 4 times as did my partner. Fire alarm went off 3 times early in the morning. Water pipes made loud noise when being used. Woke me up at 06:00. No apology or explanation given. Extra payment taken off my bank card. I phoned to query this, and was told I would be called back in 10 minutes...still waiting, and money still not in my account. Very dissatisfied in this hotel visit.

I recieved a nice welcome at the reception upon arrival. The room was adequate. The carpet was crumpled at one part which is hazardous. The towels and bed linen were not clean with marks/stains. I did sleep comfortably and breakfast was adequate

« despite the kindness of staff the facility fell way below my expectation »

water pouring into my room when i arrived..only other room available was an attic room..constant high pitch winning noise in room all night..phone was broken and unattached..air conditioning unit not functioning properly. Staff were very apologetic but it was a very uncomfortable stay.

« Good value hotel »

I stay every time I visit London as it’s close to my friend’s place. For London this place is cheap. Admittedly the trade off is the location isn’t central to London. But for me perfect. And well still good enough to go in and out from the centre. Hotel is very clean. Alas some of the fitout is poor. Bed frame was too big for room which didn’t leave space to walk around without bumping head on wall tv mount. The toilet too close to wall and paper dispenser.

had to change rooms, because first room 120 did not have adequate hot water or water pressure. Hotel is a maze, had to negotiate about 6 sets of stairs to reach room. even steps to our second room which was notionally on the ground floor. Would be a nightmare if disabled! Check in was strange as we had to provide photo ID which we had not had to do in an Accor hotel in the UK before. Luckily we drove this time and licenses but if we had arrived by train as we usually do, we would not have had them with us. Also the hotel appears om AMEX as the Norfolk House Hotel, this mad us suspect fraudulent use of our card when the first days payment appeared on our credit card as a pending payment at 03.00 a few days before our arrival. All the staff were good, but the hotel just did not appear to be up to Accor standards.
