« Nice basic little hotel »

Bed was comfy and the breakfast good, well locates for two different metro lines making it a great base. Hotel is a little tired and the lift was broken for 2 of our 3 nights at the hotel.

« Overall ok, but bathroom / toilets are very sma; »

The room was clean and size was ok. Some noise from corridor, but ok. The only concern was the bathroom which was small especially the toilets were "inserted" between the shower walls and the wall making it difficult to seat and stand.

Staff on front desk all very friendly and helpful both day and during the night when I couldn't sleep!! The room was clean, tidy and big enough for my needs. The ensuite was also satisfactory. The bed was comfortable and it was a quiet environment.

Having booked a family suite 6 months in advance of one double and 2 singles, was very disappointed to arrive to 2 double rooms, the hotel was busy and we were unable to get the room made into 2 singles and had to wait till the following day and move rooms to get what we had booked. The rooms were small as are all rooms in old cities, but just about big enough, the air conditioning is somewhat lacking, it does not cool the rooms down suffciently and due to the rather warm weather the rooms were still far too warm for comfort. Breakfast was a challenge the serving area was tiny and could only sensibly accomodate one person at a time, we were a group of 4 in a full hotel, the supplies of bread and croissants were constantly running out, the member of staff who was looking after breakfast was working hard to replenish where she could but some items ran out often, there seemed to be a limited supply of plates, bowls and glasses and the dishwasher was running almost constantly to keep up. The seving area as well as being small was linked to a bigger dining area, however this did not appear to be airconditioned, leaving the overall effect as being breakfast in a crowded sauna and left you requiring a shower. The staff were helpful and bi-lingual, some better than others but always enough to be effective, most were positive and upbeat. The area is close to the metro and has a few restaurants and shops nearby, the centre of Paris is approx 30 mins from room to destination.

« nice and cosy »

clean, good location, good breakfast, close to cafés, supermarkets and metro. Room small but ok . Unfortunately no fridge in the room, which was missing in such a hot sommer. A small one just to put in some drinks would be enough. I have experienced even 2 star hotels with a small frifge inside and the Ibise Style Alésia got 3 stars ! An alternative could also be a ice-machine somewhere in the hall. Thank you !
