« Poor levels of communication, bad food and room service »

I had inquired if the hotel provides an airport pick-up. I got a response from the hotel much after I even landed at Manila which was utterly useless. Room service took almost an hour to deliver food and that was after three follow-ups. Food was not good at all. Hot Chocolate was extremely high on sugar and barely any taste of chocolate was felt as a result of the excess sugar.

« An ordinary staycation »

The hotel looks fine. The food was awesome. The facilities were fair. The only thing lacking is the promised hospitality which contrasts the AccorHotels mantra of "Feeling Welcome". The typical disease of Philippine Hotels- staff are are more polite to foreigners than to their compatriots. Lastly, I arrived approximately five minutes late. Upon arriving, I was asked to wait for FIVE minutes because the room was not ready. I received an SMS saying my room key was ready, but I guess they were just kidding. Overall rating is 6/10. Stay was okay but not exceptional.

« Simple but satisfying »

I have booked Mercure Hotel Ortigas as I had a good experience when I stayed in Mercure Krakow last time (So why not give Manila's Mercure a try). I must say that the building itself is not that fascinating as compared with the other Accor Hotels here in Manila. But the simplicity in the facilities has been made up with good and quick service. Check-in (both online and actual) was a breeze. There are only few selections in the breakfast buffet, but it is understandable being a small hotel. Despite that, I still saw the effort of providing a diverse menu (the Taho was great!). There's a bit of an effort though to reach the nearest mall (several pedestrian stops/crosses), but the distance is still reasonable. Experience was great and we have again booked a room for our New Year celebration (hope there will be better food selections by that time).

It was always a good place to come back here. Whenever i visited manila, i always stay here because the room is comfortable, big enough, clean and also the staff is very helpfull and nice. The location is also best, near a big shopping centre.

« Dislike the guarantee money policy »

To people whom i concern I really disappointed about the policy that guest must pay money for guarantee 5000 PHP. This condition didn't mention from any website and agency. I feel a bit unsatisfy about this condition in the case that guest didn't bring enough budget. Luckily i prepared the credit so i could take a rest. Been practically around the world and stayed at different 5 star hotels. Incomparable staff, however, the room had only 1 chair with me and husband deciding to have room service for dinner, my husband had to sit in the bed. This is my only complain, it doesn't matter if the room is only de luxe but you should cater for sitting of at least 2 people and this is my only complain. However, I would not mind coming back as we were so overwhelmed with the kind of service you had specially your SECURITYstaff at the entrance.

It was a disappointing experience for two friends and me!! The reception lobby is in the second floor. They gave us 3 rooms in different floors and we can’t visit each other because each is assigned only to the designated floor. Rooms are very small. Not enough facilities in the hotel. Our reservation was for 3 nights through booking.com. Due to the situation, we decided to stay only one night and move to another hotel and they insist to deduct another night as penalty charge. .....

It wasn't that great due to the following incidents: 1) When I ordered room dining, the staff forgot to bring me cutlery. 2) The ceiling in the bathroom fell in the middle of the night and it was left hanging, the housekeeping didn't bother to fix it when they cleaned the room. 3) The hotel amenities were not properly topped up, e.g., the staff provided me 2 conditioning shampoo instead of 1 shampoo and 1 shower gel, or the staff kept providing the shampoo when the shampoo was not used. 4) The teapot was not cleaned. 5) The after room dining service was bad, the plate not cleaned in a timely manner. The plate was still left in the room even after the room was cleaned. 6) I stayed for 2 weeks, but the front desk provided me a room with now view. The room was smelly when I entered the room.

Once in a lifetime stay.....Requested for high floor and get the lowest... while my counter part get one without even requesting....We checkin at the same time.....Room service ends at 9pm.... can you believe it....Check out is a nightmare as well...

« Consistently Good »

I have stayed here many times now and the staff and facilities are consistently good and with minimal issues. Food is of good quality, reasonably priced and very friendly restaurant staff make it a pleasure to stay there. I strongly recommend it as a great venue to stay in Ortigas. The only feedback I would have is please make sure your internet is not bandwidth limited for guests. After a day or so the IT people managed to unlock the limit a bit and that made it ok, but prior to that it was impossible to connect to VPN or complete video calls and that is always quite concerning for a 'business' hotel.

It was okay--bedroom, people --good. But buffet breakfast has very little for vegetarians. Remember the pay of vegetarians and non veg. are the same. But the choices for veggetarians are limited
