« good location but early checkout is not convinient »

the location is ideal as it is right next to Paddington, making it easy to access national rail services, trains to Heathrow and the underground without worrying about dragging bags around. The rooms are nice, good shower, toothpaste was not provided in our room and so we went to bed without brushing our teeth and had to ask for it in the morning, but i think that was just a mistake. overall the stay was great and what was expected of the price, but i do think that 10:30 is very early for checkout and would have likes more time as most hotels are till 12, especially as we could not check in before 2, you're only getting 20.5 hours

I have answered several of these questionnaires since I have now stayed at the Mercure Paddington on many occasions. My latest visit was as comfortable as previous visits. I find the staff efficient, helpful and prepared to go ''the extra mile'' to ensure a good stay.

Had no control about the booking. Had to argue so i diddent had to pay twice. The breakfast was expencive and bad.

For the second time, I arrived at the hotel to be told that a room wasn’t available to me due to maintenance issues. I have never had this happen before but to happen twice on two separate occasions is unfortunate. I didn’t get a call In advance to let me know. A room was provided at the Hotel Indigo on both occasions. To be honest, the rooms are superior so in future I will book there directly. I won’t be booking at the Mercury again.

« COMFORTABLE AND GOOD LOCATION »

Whenever I have a reason to be travelling to Heathrow Airport, this is always a good place to stay; so close to the Heathrow Express and with friendly and efficient staff to look after you. Being an Accor Club member, I may be more likely to choose an Accor Club hotel than other people but, nevertheless, you can be sure of a warm welcome, plus a clean and comfortable room if you stay at the Mercure, Paddington

I had a good experience and would be pleased to stay in this hotel again. It's well located (I actually liked the rumble of tube trains); the room, while small, had good amenities (the tea and biscuits very welcome!) the bed was comfortable, the shower was easy to use and effective, I had no problem checking in and out. Minor issues: I did ask for a wakeup call in the paperwork at the desk, but the call never came. I was up anyway, but obviously that's important especially for airport stays. I also had some difficulty with the wifi especially on my phone - I could see it was there, but couldn't get to the log in page; and on my phone it wanted repeated log ins. But overall this was a good stay and excellent value.

Although I have booked an executive Room we found it extremely small. The bathroom was so small that we could not even move inside and we had to leave the door open to dry up with the towel after the shower. The fact that Garfunkel's is an inhouse Restaurant but with a separate management is not an added value, on the contrary, the staff is not Hotel client oriented. We had to use vouchers to acces to the Breakfast Buffet which was very, very poor. The Service in genaral is quite poor. We understand that you might aim at promoting your hotel to a specific clientele, lets say...a less demanding clientele, but I can guarantee that you can do much better. As I have mentioned here below, I would not have booked this hotel if I knew all this. Sorry to say this but you would definitely appreciate such constructive critisism aimed at improving your hotel in general.

Great location, bathroom was cramped. The breakfast could hardly be described as a full breakfast. Not up to normal standard.

So on the new years eve, or maybe lets just say on January 1st, i came back to my room and i could not be connected with the wifi connection. I called two or three times to the reception using a phone from my room, but i couldnt hear any voice. Even i got my phone back from the reception i supposed, it was still no voice. I decided to straight come to the reception to get things done. But the front desk man accused me with a high tone that i was trying to call outside the UK! Moreover, he added that I could not hear his voice because someone had made the phone in the low volume. Which i did not do that and i was staying by myself so it is not my problem and has nothing to do with me at all. In the rear, i gave my iphone to him and he did something until my phone connected to the wifi and it did. Unfortunately in the morning, my phone could not get connected again. My point is, i dont like the front desk man attitude while speaking to me. You need to consider your employees’ attitude before hiring them. Second, i think you need to get your Lift to be serviced. Because whenever it reaches to the ground floor, it bounches and making me shock at the first time. And it was so slow. So i decided to carry my luggage to the second floor. Thank god it was just small case. Finally, until now, i couldnt help myself to forget th

« Room too small, breakfast disappointing again »

The room was single sized with a double bed. One person might have been OK with a suitcase but there was no was two suitcases could be opened at the same time. A lot of forwarding and backwarding to get past each other in order to get around the room. Breakfast in Garfunkel's was again disappointing again - on a previous visit it was so poor we were offered the chance to go to a sister restaurant up the road for breakfast. This time certain parts of the cold buffet were empty, an empty plate where croissants should have been (these finally came out and were dry and tasteless), the milk had run out and only a drip, drip, drip to try to cover the cereal and the yogurts in glasses had about a tablespoon of yogurt in them. On the plus side the staff in the hotel, and Garfunkel's, were polite and friendly. The wifi connection and speed in the hotel was excellent - and the location next to Paddington is perfect.

« A comfortable, hotel catering to the business traveler, the hotel is located conveniently adjacent to Paddington Station. »

I chose the hotel for its location. The amenities were fine. The executive room was spacious and comfortable for the two of us. We found the hotel staff to be friendly and helpful in recommending restaurants and best ways to navigate Thru London. It is next to Paddington Station with convenient tube lines and the Heathrow Express.

The hotel checked all the boxes I needed filled in terms of comfort and convenience being so close to Paddington station. The staff were friendly and helpful. I will use the hotel again in the future.
