The room was really quiet and this is an important criteria for me. I have been so glad to see all the choices provided for the breakfast with a good quality of products. What an amazing staff from reception to breakfast service: always having attention for details, being so helpful!

Breakfasts were poor - from the Mercure brand I expected better quality. Small selections of warm dishes. But the most interesting thing was fact that italian guests had a "speciall coffe" from the kitchen - other guests had to use common coffee machine. I suppose that italian people like good coffee (me too!) but it's not so fair split guests for "local" and other.

Clean and modern hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast with lots of choice. Really helpful on reception desk. We were able to purchase a 3 day public transport ticket which we would really recommend. It meant we could hop on and off the public bus to Venezia (number 6) and then the water bus to explore all areas of Venice (lines 1 & 2) Bus stop from the hotel was not too far but quiet and lonely at night which for two females walking under a bridge and then an enclosed pathway in the dark was quite unnerving. Taxi from Venezia bus terminal to the hotel costs 25-30 euros. Bus during the day was absolutely fine, it takes around 20 mins once you’re on and is very busy so you will likely stand for the journey. You need to validate your ticket at the machine on the bus and then each time for the water bus. Taxi to/from the airport costs 60 euros. We found the bed and pillows a little uncomfortable, really hard, which I’m sure is down to personal preference. The hairdryer kept over heating and stopping after a few seconds of use which was really annoying when you’re trying to get ready to go out. We would have liked some drawers to put our things away and more hangers (only a few between two people) A dressing table cosmetic mirror would also have been nice to do hair/makeup close to the plug socket. We found the hotel room very clean and modern but basic.. The bathroom was a great size with a lovely shower. Air conditioning not available in the room when we visited (April) Apparently it’s too early. The room was really hot so we had to open the window which we found to be really noisy when we tried to sleep due to the close proximity to the motorway - lots of trucks/cars etc passing by and noises of truck horns beeping early hours. It would have been very quiet with the window closed but too hot for us. Overall we just used this hotel as a base but we found it a little too far out to travel everyday so probably wouldn’t stay here again. Great for others who don’t mind the travelling times.
