« Poor customer service, smoke smell in the room »

I arrived very tired and checked-in and specifically asked Mustafa for a quiet room and a non-smoking room. I went up to a room and the bathroom smelled very badly of smoke, and there was a crying baby next door. I went back down and asked Mustafa if I could change my room, because of the smoke smell. He looked quite exacerbated, and said: there is no smoking allowed. I said: well it smells like smoke. He replied: how can I know if there is smoke smell, should i control every room? Anyways, after a discussion which was unnecessary given that I was very tired and all I wanted was some sleep, he finally asked the security guard to check another room, and I stayed there. Otherwise, my stay was pleasant. The breakfast was nice and the second room I stayed in was much nicer and at least did not smell like smoke.

The reservation desk was almost always busy and a bit tardy for check-in, check-out and inquiries. Staff was polite and helpful, but looked a bit tired and overloaded. Room was clean but needs refurbishing.

Even though I checked in online stating that I would be in the hotel before noon, my rooms wasn't ready. They told me they didn't have any cleaned nonsmoking room. I left my luggage and went for lunch. I came to hotel in 4p.m. and still there my room wasn't ready. I waited 30 mins for my room to be cleaned.

« I like the hotel and overall things were good. »

I liked things overall. The main real difficulty was that the room was very hot. I tried to turn on the air conditioner or at least the fan at night, but apparently the system would only work for heat. Two of the nights I did try opening the window, but the street noise would not allow me to sleep. Also, the only bed cover was a heavy yorgan. If there had been also a light sheet, I could have used that. As a result, all three nights were somewhat uncomfortable.

The hotel room was extremely small given that Adana is known for spacious hotel rooms. Related to that, it was either too hot or too cold. It was not possible set the AC at an ideal temperature.

« Great location and very close to the airport, although still in the center of the city »

Location was great, very easy to reach from both the airport and bus station. Almost all buses to the city center stop at the hotel. The reception was located on the first floor, adjacent to the restaurant. Room was a typical Ibis room with everything a guest needs. Although my room was located facing the main road, I did not experience any noise. Breakfast was very good and fresh.

Everything was fine. Desk services, cleanliness, linens, pillows were ok. Only, the safebox was locked and could not be used. Need to ask to the reception. We did not ask because of short stay. Those kind of things should be simple, ready to use (a last check by a manager?) and no need to warn anybody. Thanks a lot.
