« Dissappointing »

Fell short of expectations from the name brand. Rude check-in staff. Broken bathroom door, and leaky shower. Incomplete toiletries set. Location was the only advantage.

Check in was not what I expected at an ibis hotel . My experience with 2 in Dubai, 1 in Muscat & 1 in Mumbai . There was some confusion about tariff . I did not feel welcomed is it because I booked through booking .com & not through accor site though I am a member but I felt rates were higher on your site . Breakfast buffet good but crowded . Lunch not much choices for a reasonable rate . So did not try dinner .

You score very well in amenities, cleanliness and service. I can't think of any glitch actually. Only sore area is food. While breakfast spread is reasonable good, a la cart menu lacks variety. Price is also quite high for food.

The room is clean and chic, but too small. The service was good, but food was pathetic and considering the price paid, I should be using swear words and not adjectives to describe the food served.

Room was not clean, I had to call the housekeeping to clean the washbasin. Requires attention towards maintenance of rooms and bathrooms. Location of this hotel is midst other companies but is close to US consulate. Which is a plus.

Honestly, it was not a great experience. The rooms are standard as any other ibis but the food was pathetic. Also, you charge a bomb for the crap lunch you serve including items wi H raw chicken (eewwwww)

« Really poor hospitality »

I'll list down the subheads and then explain. 1. Food - The food taste is not up to the mark. Apart from this the in room dining service is pathetic. I returned the pasta that I ordered because it was smelling badly. Also last day I ordered a fruit salad and 40mins later when I called asking for its status they say they don't have the order. Really bad hospitality. 2. Laundry service is the worst. The clothes that come are either not ironed or are moist as if they have just been washed and folded and given. They charge immensely but the service is pathetic. The room cleaning staff doesn't keep body wash or forgets to keep towels. On I instance I had to call 4-5 times to ask for a nail cutter which is precisely mentioned that if the guests needs it will be provided on rent basis. But the staff doesn't respond only. There are many such instances. Poor service. I am verily disappointed. I come from Philips India and our company always books this hotel. But now I'm going to tell them to strike ibis off .

« I've always stayed in Ibis for the service quality and comfort under a budget. Thigh I'd say Chennai city centre Ibis still needs to catch-up with service levels of other cities. »

Good food, dining area, comfortable budget rooms. What did not go well is the check in process. Inspite of booking a breakfast included reservation the reception told otherwise and then found they were wrong. Took longer than expected to check us in. Drapes and towel cleanliness should improve. Stains on pillow covers(even milder) not acceptable. I'm happy with my stay due to the fact that this was a budget stay and one with good food though the menu was repeated the next day as well.

« Comfortable stay with a minor niggle »

I stayed for 2 nights. The hotel room was big and well equipped (I particularly liked the mini fridge). Housekeeping was good. Front desk was efficient and courteous. Food was good and the buffet spread (breakfast and dinner) was excellent. Restaurant staff was courteous and efficient. The shuttle to the US consulate was on time and a huge benefit. The only problem I faced: on the second night I realised the water was not draining in the shower. I was very impressed by how quickly the maintenance engineer came and fixed it (within 5 mins of my calling guest services). However, the housekeeping I requested to clean the shower post this never showed up.

I found the hotel not better than an AirBnB set up. In fact the food was aweful. The veg Biryani I ordered at 10 PM, was just like a steamed rice with some flavour ingredient sprinkled. It hardly had any vegetables and spices like one would expect in Indian Biryani. On the top of it the quantity was double of what one can have at dinner. If only the quantity would have been reduced to fit the serve size and the money would have been spent on improving the quality, would have been great.
