« Good location , steady service »

I stayed here as was visiting the DEFEXPO 2018 in Chennai ... I have booked well in advance and was expecting a typocal Platinum member welcome .... however upon arrival at check in the scene was completely different.... I did book a queen bed non-smoking room ... however the check in staff asked me if i can stay in a twin bed room or a smoking room having a queen bed ... I had to argue a lot and finally they came with giving me something which I booked for a queen bed non smoking room ... I am not sure why this whole drama which left a pretty bad taste .. I requested to speak with the GM while checking in after this drama and i was told that GM will be available next day as I checked in around 10 pm ... I was atleast expecting a call from the gentleman which never came until my check out and have to mention the same here ... barring this strange welcome things were quite smooth otherwise, breakfast was good and so does room service ...and everything else ... BY the way I am an Ibis Business Card member as well and each time I have to send my card each time to get the designated discount ....i am not sure why as the booking shows up the ibis business card as well .. However Inspite of all this I will give this hotel another try on my next trip for sure ...

« Iam satisfied in comfort and food but Iam not getting my hotel Bill till »

I request to incorporate my company's GST number in the bill but the receptionist failure to incorporate the same and assure me to mail the bill to my email id immediately. I contact them two to three time but not yet received. Iam in the position to submit the same to my office.

Room amenities were adequate. Clean ship could be better. Floors were swept but not mopped. Ordered food (a cup of coffee and a plate of snacks) came almost 45 min later. Breakfast was average. Reception staff was very courteous and helpful.

Rooms and bathroom were too small in size. Did not like interiors, esp the red colour. The only good thing was its location - closer to US consulate, beach etc. and shuttle to the US consulate. Did not find it worth the money. Also, felt a lot of smoke in the non smoking room we were given - had to change rooms because of that.

« Stay was good not the checkin policy »

Pros 1. Location: Very close to the bio-metric center and the US consulate. 2. Good restaurants nearby 3. Breakfast was good 4. Good connectivity to every place in Chennai 5. Clean rooms and bathrooms 6. AC working to the optimal temperature 7. Wifi access was excellent - Unlimited bandwidth was a big thumbs up Cons 1. Arrived early but learnt that I need to pay half day charges as the check-in time was 2 PM (too late) so what if I checked out early (I did checked out @ 1030am) where in check out time in 12pm will I get back 1/2 day money? why this is not passed on to the customer? This happened to me for the first time ever in all of my travel experience. 2. The attitude of the receptionist wasn't that sweet, when I came back to the hotel to collect my key (card) she asked me to wait until she completes her check-in procedure with someone else, respecting the guest's time had to wait for 10 minutes to just get my room entry card - ridiculous. I doubt I will ever choose IBIS again. 3. Plug point on the study table wasn't working, called for help but he couldn't help, hence I have to tuck in and use the ones under the table 4. TV remote was useless, it wasn't working, someone came and helped me to get that working but I had to sit in front of the TV within a meter, else it won't operate. 5. The safe locker kept saying "Low Battery" was really scared to use it.

It was good but few things. I called and requested for water but no one turned up. They have given me access key. I went inside kept my bag and come out. In 2minutes tried to open but could not. I called and tech guy has come and found issue...solved...but taken more than hour. What if that happen on emergency. Next day exactly 12 noon lost access in lift when i was going to my floorroom. Again i had to come to reception. New people will come to hotel ... one should tell basic things in the room. That helps. Rest all very nice including staff. Thanks

I don’t normally leave reviews for hotel chains as they are generic however I feel this hotel is worthy of review. From check in to check out all staff were polite, courteous and eager to please. The restaurant staff were very helpful including the chef who offered advice on menu choice. I didn’t need my room cleaned however room boy ensured that that any consumables were relaxed as required. A very enjoyable stay!

I very much felt that for the amount I paid the hotel gave very less, 1) customized Ac temp control(most of the time it was hot and the room temp was always hovering around 24.). 2) the room was very small, I have lived in hotels like Radisson Blu which has better sqft for the price. That's the very reason I cut down my stay from two days to only one day and moved out.

The hotel staff were friendly and polite and all tried very hard to please. The restaurant staff were welcoming and very helpful. The room was Ibis/Accor quality with one exception; bedroom doors are kept open when housekeeping takes place so the area behind door is neglected and dirt accumlates; a minor issue but one that needs rectification.

« Over all experience is ok for 1 night »

The response on phone for pre check in was not good. I have contacted the hotel on phone just before 30 minutes before the check in and I have been told that, there is no availability with an un comfortable tone. When I get in to the hotel at 9:00 am in the morning, I am able to get a room.

Upkeep less than other ibis properties that I have stayed in. Not the best staff, leaky showers and faucets unreplenished shower gel etc
