Reasonable hotel but did not deliver what was promised

The Accor website, the hotel's own website and the Accor app all state unconditionally that the hotel has air conditioning. This was not delivered and not available during our stay. I was informed it is not provided until the hot summer weather. This is not stated on the websites or app, and no conditions or exceptions are shown where the air conditioning is advertised as available. The room was 23.5C during the first night and we could not sleep properly or comfortably - this is the primary requirement of a hotel room! We raised our concerns at the hotel and asked for a fan. Despite an apparent search of three hotels not one fan could be provided. On the second night we succeeded in reducing the temperature to 21.5C before sleeping on the second night by opening the balcony door, but this had to be closed overnight due to external noise from traffic, the wind and heavy rain. Before long the temperature returned to 22.5C+ - we have photographs to prove these readings. On checking out I stated that because we had not slept properly due to the failure to deliver the promised air conditioning - and the false advertising of a service not actually available - I did not expect to pay the full price for the stay. I was promised by Manuel that he would speak to the manager (who was unavailable at the time) and send an email to me by the end of the day. I am still waiting three days later... This is not good enough, I am thoroughly disappointed by the failure to fulfil verbal promise and written statements of the facilities available. I would like to be contacted about these issues, in particular the level of refund for the non-delivery of contractual service (air conditioning) resulting in the failure of the hotel to provide a proper night's sleep - it's primary requirement. Otherwise I will refer the breach of contract to my credit card provider and arrange a charge-back. Thank you.

Room and public areas of the hotel were very clean and accommodating. View of Adriatic from side balcony of room was nice, and room was quiet. Hotel's great location nearly on seafront was a bug draw; expensive, undisclosed overnight parking (E18) not so much, especially with free parkign available on nearby streets. I'd definitely stay - but would not park - here again.

we booked the room online just 5 minutes before we went in and we were welcomed by a very nice receptionist. That explained all facilities. She later helped us with good tips on restaurants and was very knowledgable on the surrondings.

My staying in Rimini was perfect due to team in Mercure Artis. The room was fine and the atmosphere was great. It was the only hotel since some months, where I really felt benefits of silver status. And not only. The team is professional, friendly and ready to help. It is a great choice.

Wouldn't know what the Lungomare was like as it was closed.... even when Accor hotels took the booking. On the day of arrival we received a phone call telling us that we had been 'transferred' to their other hotel. Don't get me wrong, there was nothing wrong with the hotel we stayed in. However Accor hotels took away my ability to choose the hotel I wished to stay in. If I had been given an upgrade it would have been a sweetner but NO. Accor Hotels lost out on my next booking of the European tour and I will probably not be using them much in the future unless I get offered an incentive. The hotel manager did try by dropping a couple of extra charges but it is Accor Hotels at fault and they need to make amends. Not the best couple of days on our tour as we found both the hotel and Rimini itself overpriced for what it delivered.

In winter time we take advantage for all the maintenance that during spring and summer seasons we could not be able to done. Your reservation was moved to our Mercure Artis. We have the same management and we are the same staff! For us move reservation from Lungomare to Artis, same brand "Mercure" and same chain "Accor" is a big up-grade, as for you can see from TripAdvisor and Booking reviews. lack of phonic isolation (sounds from the street in the bathroom), feeling like being in a disco at night with nextdoor parties, no free bottle of still water in the room, poor breakfast quality...

Could not fault. Location, staff, evening cocktails, breakfast. Too late in season to appreciate swimming pool. Got transferred same day as arrival - with sea facing room in more modern hotel with sun balcony on 2 sides.

In general it was a good experience. One negative aspect was at check in when the receptionist give us a room for disabilities at a 2nd floor insteed of a normal room ( the problem was the bathroom were it was a courtain for shower insteed of a shower cabin and because of that a mold smell was present inside the room. Also the shower was not proper clean -> we found flip-flops marks and hair inside the bathroom->I do not think for a 4 star hotel this is acceptable). After we complain at the reception desk they where nice to change our room and give us a normal room at the 3rd floor.
