Condition of Pool Poor, Not enough variation in breakfast menu.Reception staff very poor including female supervisor that laught in my face after I prove she was wrong,and had attitude she did not care .Also Manager a time of incident also did not have correct imformation Fridges in room poor,and need to be colder Bar and Restaurants staff where great and helpful

I booked online on the ACCOR website a DELUXE ROOM WITH DOUBLE BED TERRACE AND POOL VIEW. I get a room with a bar view, so I declined my stay there: It is not comfortable at all looking for a week to people who drink, especially during expected calm h. evenings. They tried to convince me that I booked a poolside room, which was not exactly as in the reservation, so they tried to convince me to accept a lower level room then I already paid, which I refused as well. They told me that who counselled me was very wrong, that their rooms are all the same, and they have the same price. I was so revolted about how they patronised me, in a four-star hotel, so I tried to stay calm after my exhausting travel, so I recommended them to change their offer on the ACCOR website. I also recommend ACCOR staff to check the real situation and their affirmations. It's not normal that the reception/upper staff be quite arrogant. Finally, they found the appropriate room that I booked. The hotel is nice, but it is very far from the beach, so the hotel offers an hourly shuttle to the beach. The rooms are clean, but I get shower gel only twice during my 5-night’s stay, and the canal smell from the bathroom is awful. They forget to keep closed the doors of the bathroom and toilet, so when you arrive in the evening after a hot day of sunbath, the smell in the room is terrible and no shower gel, but body lotion, it is a very strange feeling of a no-star hostel. Breakfast is excellent, and the general attitude of the staff is nice. However, I had a very personal questionnaire from the spa staff, about where is my family etc. My booking included a paid late checkout. I double-checked this the day before my departure, and it was fine. However, at checkout, they ignored the paid checkout and tried to make me paid again for these extra hours. Of course, I refused, so finally they found my paid late checkout. Moreover, at check-in, they asked me to pay a guarantee of 100 euros, from which I consumed only a small beer (7 euros). At checkout, they tried to make me pay again that beer and ignored my guarantee. It was very difficult to solve this, and the amount of 100 euros for one beer remained blocked in my account for about 3 weeks. It is something very strange with the staff management of this beautiful hotel, not always you feel welcome, it's like we, the clients, are disturbing them with our presence. I will share my review on other travel media. I travelled in 41 countries, staying in more than 200 hotels, from homestays to 5 stars hotels. Something should be done against this patronising attitude of the staff. Beautiful hotel but patronising and partly incompetent staff.

great place to stay and unwind - great pool and food. Staff were very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to help with any questions that we had. They organised taxis or bus when needed and also an airport shuttle on day of departure.

Staff are friendly at reception , restaurant and pool bar . The breakfast is great . We did appreciate the airport transfers and the room upgrade . The welcome cocktails were probably the best we have ever had , so that was a plus . We will stay again as we enjoyed the resort .

We really enjoyed our stay at the Mercure. Next time however, I would request a room further away from the foyer, reception & stairs to ground level! It was extremely noisy late into the night & early in the morning! Also I would like to suggest that all chairs in rooms be fitted with a felt or rubber stopper on legs. The constant dragging of the chair in room above us was extremely annoying & also occurred late into the night. Overall though we did have a good time.
