My family, friends & I had stayed in this hotel numerous times in the past 5 years. The ease of access to food places and our convention venue attracted us to this hotel, also partly to earn points for my Accor membership. However sad to say that the hotel rooms are deteriorating and it is the worst Ibis Styles hotel we had stayed around the world. As we entered the room, we were greeted with an unpleasant, musty smell. We then found out why. The bathroom door is rotting away due to constant contact with water from the shower and we can't close the bathroom door. Of course the wooden flooring just outside the bathroom is not spared. The basin has no hole cover, and we have to be careful not to drop anything into the hole. The towels are greyish so we dread using them. Though there's a fridge that is switched on, it is at room temperature. The above mentioned has nothing to do with the cleaners. The room is generally quite clean but the rooms needs urgent repairs!

« It’s below our expectation of the hotel standard and experience »

About 3-4 years ago, when my wife and I first came to IBIS was really impressive. However, each year that we stayed in IBIS turn out to be disappointment. On Thursday (13/07/18) when we check in to the room, my wife realised the shampoo and bathing soap container was half fill. Not sure if it was left over from previous guest but forgotten to replace a new set. The bathing towel was a bit of yellowish and there are some kind of blood stain on the bedsheet. The curtain was dusty and the aircon controller cannot be adjusted. On Sunday (15/07/18) night at about 10.30pm, my wife and I were woken up from our sleep from a few guest who talk very loud and banging of the door along the 4th level corridor so much so that I have to call the operator to send someone up to get the guest to keep their noise level low. In fact, when I went out to check out the situation, one of the guest who spoke very loud even told me off. It may be good to get a security guard to go round the room every hour to prevent such situation from arising again. Of course, I must said the staff at the breakfast table was very polite. The idea of setting aside for us to have our breakfast in the room was great. The Housekeeping for the 3 days did a good job in cleaning up the room.

BATH AND HAND TOWELS WERE NOT CLEAN. NO EXTRA TOILET ROLLS AND SOAP. WALL SWITCHES WERE NOT WORKING. CAN'T BOIL WATER AND TABLE LAMP CAN'T BE SWITCHED ON. THE REFRIGERATOR WAS NOT WORKING AND MY FRUITS GOT SPOILT.

« Beware of the bed bugs »

I was booked in to stay for 3 nights at this hotel. The bathroom was mouldy-looking, but the room was neat. I woke up in the morning with two bites on my arm, but thought it could have been a mosquito. The second night I felt something crawling on my arm, and woke up to itchy bites on my hand. The reception staff moved us to another room on the next level, but sadly this second room was even worse than the first because this time we actually saw the bedbugs on both beds, and there was bedbug excrement on the wall behind the beds and on the curtains and staining the sheets. I took photos and videos and showed the staff who were apologetic about the situation. They moved us to another room on the next floor up, and this room didn’t seem to have bed bugs because I didn’t get any new bites, but who can say how many rooms are infected with this pest. Bed bugs are so difficult and expensive to get rid of, I really hope this hotel is able to get proper fumigation and treatment to eradicate this pest before other guests pick up and transfer the bugs to another location. And although the hotel staff were apologetic and nice, I wasn’t offered any compensation for this terrible and scarring experience.

Out of the four lights in the room, only two are working. We have to call hotel service several times before they replace one of the lights. We found bed bugs in room 318. My daughter and her friend were both bitten by bed bugs.

« It was pleasant »

It was comfortable and safe. Many food options around. Services were rendered as best as y’all could as understandably there were so many of us at one go. What I wasn’t comfortable is the yearly bed bug reports we experience. This time my sister and friends got bitten again. Pests control should come in to help maintain the standard of cleanliness of the hotel and care for the health of the guests. Having a good nights rest is important, without thinking of any bugs attacking you ;)

I stayed more than 3 times for business trip here. Every stay found the same issue, the food during breakfast often empty and no staff take a look and care to refill the food soon. If people in a hurry, cannot wait for the food to come and just left.
