« Pleasant stay but far from Antibes town centre »

Hotel was clean, staff were friendly. Room was comfortable except that the safe deposit box was not operating properly and there was no operating instruction inside the room. Breakfast is simple continental and hotel is located a few kilometers outside Antibes town centre.

Overall we were fairly satisfied with staying at ibis Styles Antibes except that there was no instruction inside the room for using the safe deposit box, and it was not operating as expected; it could not be operated with code, instead we were given a key to close and open the box. The breakfast was simple continental but the dinner was reasonably good. The location of the hotel is not ideal for guests relying on public transport as it is located a few kilometers outside the centre of Antibes. We have a hired car so we have no problem getting in and out of the centre and the hotel is a good base for exploring surrounding towns and villages.

About every 30 minutes there was a loud vibration sound in my room. I switched off the air conditioning and it still continued. I did not sleep well at all as it kept waking me up. The room also smelled strong of cigarette smoking when I moved in. The night manager also could not really speak English so it was difficult to complain!

The air conditioning was broken in the first room I was placed in, so I was moved to another room next door. This was ok, except for the patch of black mold I spotted on the ceiling in the bathroom (rm 304). The website says that the hotel has a bar that is open morning to night. In the six nights that I stayed there, I only saw one other customer served. I went there a few times during operating hours and was told that it wasn't open. The couple of times I was able to get served alcohol, the staff seemed to think they were doing me a great favor. The breakfast buffet was ok, except that it was exactly the same every day. This got to be tiresome after a few days. I tried dinner one night, but the steak that I ordered was tough and gristly. Decent wine selection, though. The one positive thing I can say is that I dropped my passport in the bathroom on the ground floor the day that I was leaving. I was almost to Nice when I realized what I had done. I called the hotel and they located my passport and held onto it until I could return to collect it. So, thank you for that.

Room was very good and breakfast was fine. My main complain is about the WiFi. I had to work sometimes from my room and it was not always possible. It would be nice if you could improve that. The location is also not the best but that I knew in advance.

« Nice and comfortable hotel to stay »

Location of hotel is between Canes and Nice. If you have a car, it's very nice location to visit both towns not to mention other towns like St. Paul de Vence. Hotel provides you free tea, which has various selection. Bed is comfortable and breakfast is okay. Staffs were very friendly at both front desk and restaurant.

We have stayed with you three or four times in the past three years. Always with a dog and have been quite satisfied and happy. We will again considder to stay with you, but only if we get a larger room.

« Not as great as I expected »

I thought the room was rather small and seemed a bit outdated. The bedding was good but there was little space to walk around the bed. The bathroom wasn't great and again there was little room to store your stuff around the sink. Also, we had an issue with the AC unit. Although it was fixed (it was turned off), we really had one bad night as we couldn't stop it from heating the room and it made sleeping uncomfortable. The breakfast buffet was average at best. The choice was quite poor in fairness

I had two different consecutive bookings (one private and one for business), and my request to assign me the same room for both bookings had been followed up very nicely by Abdel, he was very helpful during my stay. As for the hotel itself, it was what I expected from an Ibis hotel, so while somewhat basic, it had most of what I needed; the only thing that I really missed was a little fridge/minibar.

Wifi reception was extremely poor - had to go into the bar area to get it to work. Bed was smaller than a standard Ibis. Breakfast was extremely busy with people queuing for drinks.

Bar the smoke alarm going off, we had a good stay. I would recommend you move the egg cooker to another location. Air conditioning should be used in halls and restaurant.
