« Extremely comfortable and special. »

I loved the place, the building, the luxury about every detail. Also, I felt very special, cared and looked out for. The breakfast was amazing! I would only recomend, as a leader company as Accor Hotels is, to rethink the way you give water, having water in small plastic bottles is really annoying to me, as we all know, plastic is not a good resource to our planet. So, I don’t know, but maybe a glass bottle that is filled daily would be a solid choice. Recycling the bottles would also be incredible, reusing them, and showing the clients that you care and are a responsible organization. Just like you already do when you advice about not washing the towels on a daily basis.

As always, like coming home! The staff and management at the Sofitel Carrasco have created a truly unique culture - one where returning guests feel welcomed and valued. I have stayed in many five start hotels around the world, and never have I had such a wonderful experience as I do at the Sofitel each time I come back. Everyone works together to make the experience of staying here so very very special. I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to be part of the wonderful Sofitel Carrasco family! Something very unusual for a hotel is the length of time that most staff and management have been with the hotel. And, many get promoted. This trip, I learned that one of my favourite bell men was recently promoted to the front desk. Sofitel management really know how to motivate and inspire the hotel staff. It is really something special, and I hope that head office will recognize these wonderful ambassadors for the Sofitel brand.

There was a loud noise coming from the AC. I asked maintenance to come but half an hour later still they haven't showed up. I asked to change the room and took me almost another 30 minutes to do so as there is only one person doing all the check ins.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Premium dining and spa experience. All employees were well training, thoughtful, prompt and polite. Anticipated every need with a warm and friendly manner. We loved our stay and would love to come again. Only concern which I already mentioned to the front desk was the inconsistent temperature in the shower. The water temp went from very hot to cold and back again at all times that I showered so I think it's a systemic problem and not bad timing on my part. Geraldine at the front desk was exceptionally kind and thoughtful. She helped to make our stay perfect. Many thanks11

« Old World Charm with exceptional Service »

I enjoyed a Deluxe room with water views along the Ramblas. The room was comfortable and the staff consistently went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and memmoriable. We were there over July 4th and received a thoughtful note commemorating the event, friendship between Uruguay and the US along with delicious cookies decorated with the US and Uruguay flags. Lovely thought and gesture. Spa was beautiful with a nice array of services. 1921 Restaurant was phenomenal. Highly recommend the Capelletti with herbed goat cheese and a garlic emullision . The casino supports gambling in USD and UYU and we won!! My only complaint was that water temperature in the shower went from steaming hot to cold and back all the time which was annoying. My preference would be to have the toilette room next to the bathroom sink instead of down the hall near the entrance to the hotel room but that may just be my US sensibilities talking. Highly recommend this hotel it is beautiful.

« My girlfriend Sandie and I both loved the hotel and casino. »

It is absolutely our favorite place to stay in Montevideo. We enjoyed the wonderful room and its amenities, the fabulous breakfast (amazing) and the casino. Even though the weather was poor during our stay we were completely happy staying inside the hotel. We were even greated by name by the manager Juan Pena one day in the lobby which made a great impression on us.
