« The hotel delivered a pleasant and comfortable stay »

Overall a good experience with a few small issues Room temperature was uncomfortably warm and in room controls were not working. The front desk was able to remotely control the temperature and correct. Room service was ordered and a little under an hour to deliver. It was delivered within minutes of a follow up call from me. The TV remote did not work properly and the room is starting to show its age. Staff were all very friendly and helpful The breakfast buffet was excellent. the location is very good

I recently visited your hotel on my vacation. The location was further to the city than I expected. Fortunately there were some great restaurants nearby. Another benefit to the location was the access to the beach front. I booked my hotel stay via the Accorhotels site which created a problem after I'd checked in. When I booked, I received an email stating that I was billed for the full amount of the stay which I assumed had been done. I failed to check my credit card and had not been billed for full stay. On my arrival I was told I had to pay. This was a bit of an inconvenience. The young lady at the check in counter also had a bit of an attitude as we were discussing the issue. Another issue I encountered was the poor service in the bar. Twice I visited the bar and waited long periods of time before I was served. The staff was very friendly but I felt ignored as I was travelling alone. Overall despite this my stay was very comfortable and almost all staff were very nice and helpful.

Bathrooms are too small, it gets all wet when you take a shower, there is no place to hang the hand towel and the hooks for towels are not in a good position, towels get wet if the shower is on. Also, bread is not good. And that is before considering this is a French hotel, bread should be significantly better. The rest was ok, staff is good

Hotel set up is excellent, breakfast excellent, rooms are very good. The only comment about rooms is about the restroom which lacks is architectural planing i.g.: there is no place to put my personal bathroom belongings and the shower has no door so the bathroom gets completely wet.

« Disappointed with overall experience. »

Exterior outside appearance breathtaking as were entrance and reception, however staff and rooms did not match initial expectations. Rooms were dark, decor was black, bathroom large but ridiculously large bath made the standing room very compact. The bath was dirty in the corners as were areas behind the sink The staff were very aloof which imparted a superior attitude.

We came in late a bit disheveled and weary from travel. Our room was ready and the staff was helpful. we checked out late, we were able to get last minute spa treatments, and the restaurant staff and service were superb. Thank you!

Excellent services with attention to details. Great piece of advice for both your we have done (Punta del Este and Colonia del Sacramento). Good family environment and super B services to my daughter. Special kudos to Martin (Front door and Guest service agent) which made her stay so special with a small treat and nice gift. Breakfast buffet is fantastic and delicious! Great experience and looking forward to get back soon.

I am a frequent business traveler covering the entire Americas and I have to say that the experience I had in this Sofitel was by far the best I've had in any hotel. I've stayed in this hotel several times and it has always been amazing, but this time it was well above any of my expectations. I had a special situation as I arrived to Uruguay very sick and had to extend my stay until I felt better. I was treated by the hotel members with genuine care, they facilitated everything I needed to be able to feel better, they quickly arranged medical assistance to my room and extended my stay as requested by my doctor... I cant say it enough, the service was way above what I ever expected. I will for sure recommend this hotel to every person I know and ensure my company goes there for every market visit to Uruguay. Muchisimas gracias equipo Sofitel Montevideo!

The séjour was great with no issues at all. However, as it is hotel on the coast, in front of a beach, I missed some facilities for that context, such as beach umbrellas and chair for rental for example.

It was a nice short stay in Sofitel Montevideo, we got an upgrade because of our accor club membership. We highly recommend taking a room with a view. The bath tube was special. The breakfast was really great with lot fresh fruits. Is worth spend some money more on this experience.
