Great aircon in room during this heatwave. Staff in restaurant very friendly and provided high level of customer service. Check in staff very friendly and no queues to check in. Room very comfortable. Only improvement would have been room service.

My girlfriend liked that you had malteasers available in the bar. 24hr food was of benefit. Room was clean and tidy. Could have done with more plug sockets closer to the bed.

Positives: 1. Great location 2. Very happy helpful employees 3. Rooms kept very clean 4. Good bed and pillows Negatives: 1. The Bath towel supplied per person is ridiculously small!! They are almost like handtowels and need upgrading/changing for decent large bath towels. Especially seeing as you do not get any handtowels. 2. At breakfast the cereal choices were poor - no Cornflakes or Weetabix available. 3. At breakfast the staff were very slow to replace the fruit bowls once empty. They stood empty for a very long time.

Informal hote. check is is quick and personl. rooms are good. No traditional closet. bathroom is small but clean. breackfast is very good.

« Worst Hotel Ever »

Front of house staff greet you on arrival but from then on they could careless about you. When we asked staff for assistance they would often ignore you or become demeaning and arrogant. The staff in the bar pick their noses while making and serving drinks, we reported this to management and they simply removed the bartender while we were still their, once we left he was put back to work picking his nose and serving drinks, we know this because we saw it happen. The beds are the worst, terrible mattress and they would slip and slide all over the room. Quality of towels leaves much to be desired. The never leave an extra roll of toilet paper and we twice had to fetch more. Also, when we booked we made an error and booked on additional day, paid in advance and with in seconds we saw our error and called the hotel and were told no refunds, we sent emails to the GM same story no refunds. This hotel was fully booked during our stay and I am sure they could have given us our refund, I am a member of ACCOR network but it didn't matter. what does this say about ACCOR

before we even arrived we had a problem, we paid in advance for the room but with in seconds realized we requested an extra day. We immediately contacted the hotel and the refused to refund the extra days rate back to my credit card. Now we are in the restaurant and the bartender is picking his nose while serving drinks. we mentioned this to management and they took him off the bar while we were their. We left to go for a walk and when we came back the same nose picking bartender was back picking his nose, serving and making drinks. this is too much. Our room was never left with any toilet paper we always had to call for toilet paper. The attitude of those checking you in and checking you out leaves much to be desired, when we asked where a certain something was they were very arrogant and would often ignore you while you were waiting to talk too them because they new you were already checked in. The beds leave so much to be desired, very uncomfortable and they kept slipping and sliding all over the room.

« Handy hotel for Southbank. Clean but basic. »

Great helpful staff. Good breakfast Although my husband had had a fall on the pavement and staff wanted to help there were no dressings in the first aid box! Room number 123 is quite noisy due to the sound of other toilets being flushed during the nights. (We did not experience this on a previous visit when we stayed in a different room)

The hotel is in a great location -- a block from the Southwark tube station and 10-minute walk from Waterloo and Embankment. The rooms are larger than I expected in Central London (small by American standards, but there was space for two suitcases and a small desk and cubby/closet area. The service was fantastic -- from check-in to housekeeping to the bar/restaurant staff, everyone was polite and willing to make any extra accommodation we requested. The walls were also very well soundproofed -- we could not hear guests in the neighboring rooms and could hear some construction and traffic noise outside but only when opening the window. And the a/c worked very well, which was great during a visit that was hotter than normal for June.
