I enjoyed my stay at your hotel, except that fact that somehow my status is never matched and this takes a bit of me asking at the deskt etc. If this could be avoided, I would rate my stay 9-10 points

Arrived at the hotel and was offered an upgrade to Executive Suite, which was a nice surprise. However the room itself did not feel much like a suite and the fabric of the couch has a stain on it and was not used during our stay for that reason. We had requested for a view and the room had 1 tiny window which if you looked hard enough you'd see something in the distance but in no way was it a "view". However we figured we'd spend most of our time out and about so did not make a fuss. What we did struggle with however and still are is trying to get to the bottom of the "Best Price Guarantee" that Accor Hotels advertise. We booked directly on the website and then found the same room type cheaper elsewhere and applied for this and to this date are still waiting on a final answer on just how much we should be reimbursed and it was a major headache to even get any response. Definitely did put a damper on what otherwise a good stay at the hotel. Very basic rooms but with enough of what you need, expect business travel comfort not luxury. Location was fantastic which is exactly what we wanted.

« Great stay in an amazing location »

The hotel was within walking distance from so much, we went to the Imax, the shard and the tate modem without having to get on the tube/bus once. The room was great and the switchable privacy screen between the shower and bedroom was an interesting feature lol. Pool/Spa area was OK... The spa pool was part of the main pool and the bubbles caused an eye watering, choking chlorine vapour/smell so we couldn't sit in it for long. The water was a little on the cool side, although that wasn't the worst thing with the heatwave. Staff left us a card and drinks voucher for our anniversary, which was a lovely touch.

« Very Happy at Novotel Blackfriars »

This is a gem of a hotel in a very central location to touring London, particularly to the popular tourist spots of the south bank of the Thames and exploring on football the now hip surrounding neighborhoods . The rooms were stylish and modern, and the ac worked well in the early August heatwave. The included breakfast with it’s variety was a fantastic start each day. The pool downstairs a delightful surprise.

The hotel rooms were fine in terms of layout and facilities, but could have been cleaner, esp. the carpet and seating. Unfortunately, I injured my foot on the way to the hotel. I wasn't able to assess the wound until I reached the hotel, where it became clear I would have to seek medical attention. I called the concierge to request first aid supplies and explained that I needed antiseptic wipes and a bandage (standard in any first aid kit) so I could make my way to a nurse. A short time later a cleaner with two small plasters was sent to my room. I called again, this time asking that the first aid kit was brought so I could select what I required. The concierge arrived with a bandage, but no cleaning supplies, scissors, of safety pins. This was not really adequate and I resorted to using hand sanitiser to clean the wound and my keys to cut the bandage to size. Obviously that was far from ideal! A visit by a member of staff trained in first aid would have been more appropriate, however, the minimum I expect is that someone on duty will have adequate first aid knowledge to pick requested supplies from a first aid box. Also, when being seated at breakfast it was clear that I was having issues walking, but I was placed as far as possible from the buffet. When I asked to be moved I was re-located one table closer. I was made to feel that this simple request was a massive inconvenience. Again, this falls short of what I expected from your hotel.

We enjoyed staying at Novotel London Blackfriars. The reception staff, Hatairat, was very helpful and friendly. We were able to get a connecting room at the end of the hall way, which was really nice. The rooms were nice and clean, but a little noisy from the trains and the street. Breakfast was very good and there's a good variety of options. We were a bit surprised with the amenities provided in the bathroom. The single use plastic cups, whilst convenient, were a little awkward and not very environmentally friendly. We were also expecting other things eg. shower caps to be provided. If we knew beforehand, we would have brought our own. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a quieter area away from the busy shopping streets but just a few min walk to Southwark Station and about 10 min walk to Waterloo Station, making it a convenient base to explore London.

three things that I did not like, 1. very few stores and restaurants around. 2. I found mold on the toast when having breakfast, although you did not charge me for that meal, but I still think there are problems about your quality control. 3. I told the reception that I would have a baby stroller sent by KLM due missing on my flight, but I have waited to ask the receptionist till the third day that I stay, and they found KLM had already sent my stroller to your hotel. I think you should send the stroller to my room once you received it , not to wait till I ask.
