« Very pleasant positive experience! »

From the moment we've walked in, the warm welcome and service oriented approach was very positive. Even additional requests were handled with no problems at all. Would really recommend staying here, and will likely book again should we visit London in the future.

« Better than expected from Novotel »

I only stayed one night. The room was nice and the interior design better, more modern and tasteful than most of the Novotels I have stayed in before. There was an issue with standing water in the wash basin but it didn't bother me much. I spent significant time in the lobby waiting for people, it is a pretty place and I had fun with the Sudoku game built into the lounge table. I did not have breakfast, I only wanted a coffee to take away. The regular coffee machine was out of order (not good!!) but staff helped me get my coffee-to-go anyway.

« Location is great but little else »

The staff was not welcoming, it seemed like a chore to do the basic tasks. Nothing was done with any urgency for guests, I had to wait for the desk staff to finish their conversation amoug themselves before I checked in and checked out. The women that helped me didnt seems to know about the undergound stations nearby and which tube lines and when they googled it, wasnt able to navigate to the answer quickly.

It was satisfactory, however, the shower was not too good with weak water flow. Also, the water will leak out of the bath tub causing the surrounding wash basin area to be wet.

Me and my sister and young daughter stayed on 3rd dec- 5th we found the reception staff friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and beds comfy. We used the pool which was a bit on the cold side but nice all the same. Due to noise of the street we asked to be moved to a quieter room which was accommodated and we found the second room to be much better. The breakfast was excellent quality and choice and the staff in the restaurant made are stay very attentive to my young daughter especially Alena who my daughter really took too. The only negative really was the noice from doors shutting in adjacent rooms which actually seemed to shake the whole room. Overall would recommend hotel to friends and family.

« one of the worst hotel rooms I've stayed in for a while »

Where to begin with what was wrong... The mattress was old and had a person shaped dent in it so was quite uncomfortable, the sheets smelt like they might not have been changed as I could smell someone else perfume or if they had the duvet below hadn't been cleaned for a while and the smell was coming through. The Shower leaked so the floor was almost flooded by the time I got out, there was a steading knocking sound from somewhere around the window, not sure if internal pipes or drips outside, the hotels seems not to provide conditioner with its shampoo which seems a very basic error in today's level of expectation. Most of the breakfast staff did not seem to understand English very well so getting a cup of tea was a challenge.... I could go on.

« Slightly dissapointing »

The Rooms were OK. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was good. The TV was a bit disappointing, old channels in the scheduler that no longer exist, remote slow and unresponsive. The windows were not as soundproof as you would like in a city centre hotel. Despite being on the 8th floor and 2 streets from the trains, you could hear the slow clatter of trans at night. The main dissapointment was the cooked breakfast, which was completely inedible. Everything was overcooked and dried in the hot trays. This was at 7:00 too so not as if it wasthe last reminents at 9:30. I didn't have breakfast on the second morning as a result and went elsewhere to buy a breakfast.

The booking process through the ACCOR app was easy. The advance online check-in was straightforward. I was confused by the terminology used when describing what was the pre-authorisation of my credit card. I called the and a charming lady, Sarah, explained how the system works. She also noted my room request and enquired as to whether we were celebrating a special event. As it was a weekend to celebrate my partner's birthday she arranged for a glass of Prosecco and a hand written birthday card. I greatly appreciated this gesture. Upon arrival at the hotel, Matthieu was very helpful and we appreciated the cookies at reception. Our room was superb. We were 3 adults and the 3rd bed was very comfortable. The facilities were excellent, the bathroom exceptional and the amenities super. Special mention needs to be made of the chambermaid who had a huge task making up a very full 3 floors of rooms each day. She was friendly and somehow managed a broad smile and a warm greeting. Our room was only serviced at 16h30 on Saturday which was not an issue. We saw how hard she was working. I was angry with the guest staying next door who was unreasonably rude to her. Breakfast was very good as was the coffee. The breakfast room staff were very busy and were calm friendly and helpful. Check out was by email and the hardest part was leaving the hotel which we really loved. Thank You we were made to feel special.

The room had quite a chemical smell. What I reported to reception was a shower that did not work well. Nothing happened over my 4 night stay. Staff was very nice though.
