Overall our stay was good .The staff were friendly and the hotel had everything we needed .Our only complaint was the poor breakfast we had paid for. We went for breakfast at 10.15 to find there wasn’t much left. The cereal pots were empty and there wasn’t any bacon or mushrooms left and the overdone fried eggs were swimming in grease. We asked why there wasn’t any bacon and apparently they hadn’t had any delivered . The one thing you do expect and look forward to with your full English breakfast is bacon!!.

Generally very good. Only things that "bothered" us were the fact we had no mobile phone reception in our room and that at breakfast plates/bowls were always short in supply, admittedly during rush hour.

I loved staying here. It was quiet and away from the maddening crowds but close to the tube and unique experiences such as the Tate Modern, The Globe theater and Borough Market. Thank you for making my experience so amazing!

I organised a conference & overnight accommodation for work. All ran smoothly, without any problems, we especially liked the sweetie trolley, early morning & mid morning snacks with the tea/coffee breaks! Camille was most helpful with good attention to detail too.

As a family of 2 adults and 2 children under 10, we really enjoyed our stay here. There were a few niggles but I'm sure the hotel can sort them out. We were in room 105. The bed is quite soft and dips when you lie down (adult bed). I'm not extremely heavy and neither is my husband but there was a definite dip which was uncomfortable. We loved the little swimming pool. Breakfast was definitely the best bit. There was a lot of choice - full cooked breakfast as well as continental. Coffee was great too and the juices. Thank you for a great stay.

« Good view on the Shard »

I had a room with the good view over the shard, still it was not exceptional: one window had a black pattern on the glass that distorded the view. Moreover neither the sofa nor the bed were placed in such a way so that I could see the view from them Breakfast choice was good for salted dish but limited for sweet one : few viennoiserie no pancake..., People at the desk were really welcoming polite and helpful

Actually, we had tickets for the fireworks on 31 Dec. So we booked this hotel for easy access to Waterloo (walking distance) and we didn't regret our choice. From our room we had a superb view of the Shard. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially. Mathieu at reception. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Excellent location, 5 mins. walk to metro station. We also really appreciated the late check out. Will definitely stay in this hotel on our next visit to London. We highly recommend this hotel.

There are a limited number of hotels in London who will allow a family of 4 to share one room. This hotel is one of them and the main reason we chose to stay here. It is excellent value for money given it's proximity to central London. With Southwark Station and Blackfriers station only minutes away everywhere is easily accessible. The staff are friendly and helpful, the hotel is modern with very good air conditioning. Some complain about the glass partitions in the bathroom - it caused us no problems and gave a lot of pleasure to our young children. The room is only just big enough for 4 people, but we did not go to London to spend time much time in the room, and always remember the price you are paying. Breakfast is good, just plan so you avoid the peak time. The pool is good too, again plan to avoid the peak times and you can have it to yourself. Given the price, it cannot reasonably be faulted.

Great hotel, welcoming staff, spa and swimming pool are lovely, the room was nice and clean, location is great (5 min walk from tube station), breakfast was really nice, the pancake machine was a hit with kids. Overall great hotel for staying with kids. Thank you very much, we will be back.

A shame. Uncomfortable sleep by all. Mattress was cheap European style. Pillows cheap Not acceptable in this day and age.

Excellent hotel Good location close to amenities. Room was comfortable and clean. There was a little too much outside noise from trains & traffic so I'm not sure whether there was a problem with double glazing. Shower was excellent although bigger bath towels, I'm not big & they only just about went around me. Bath products were good & loved the tea, coffee & water selection provided.

breakfast was great addition, good location near underground. Meals for Dec. 24th and 25th helped with 1st trip to London. No real complaints other than only warm temps in sauna and whirlpool and light in bathroom bright through glass wall to annoy those sleeping.

Requested a Queen size bed, got one that was sagging in the part most people sleep, made my back hurt had to sleep on sofa in room. Ordered Room service breakfast for 10.00am, Coffee was cold and bitter as if been standing for over 4 hours, Cantaloupe was hard not ripe, can't even bite into it. Gave me one strawberry with cantaloupe was rotten Porridge was so cold top of it was like a crust. Will not return
