« Great and Convenient Stay »

Our stay at the Olbia Mercure exceedede our expectations. As a gold member of AccordsHotel we got an upgraded room which was great. Breakfast was amazing, lots of variarety. Very convenient located walking distance from downtown Olbia where all the restaurants are. We found very useful the private garage for our rental car. We didnt use the gym but it looked very good. Great value for your money!

A dissapointment. I upgraded our stay to a suite as it was a birthday for my wife, room was damaged and walls messy. My wife had a poor experience of the spa, which she was really looking forward to and I found I had to ask room service numerous times for simple drink requests. We travel a lot and stay in lovely hotels and have have to say we wont recommend this hotel chain again until we have a better experience.

However I'm quite astonished about your comments because, at check out time, i came personally in reception to speak with you and your wife. You confirmed that your wife's experience on SPA has been awesome. Your complaint was about the time of the massage and, for this reason, we recognized to you a discount , as commercial gesture. Any comments, from your side, has been received during your stay about damages in the room or lack of service from the bar. Lovely staff from the reception (Tabita and R..). They are both very helpful in making sure our stay in Olbia is a great one.. Also to the pool bar and BBQ dinner buffet staff... :) food was very good and the staff were amazing

Our experience at your hotel was wonderful the location was perfect the staff was very helpful and cater to all our needs, breakfast was amazing especially on Italian standards the pool was great also the transfer to the beach was convenient. The only thing I was disappointed about you had on your van that you do airport transfers which you don’t so you need to rectify this.

we stayed at this hotel for one night only at the end of our holidays in Sardinia and before taking the ferry the next day. the hotel is confortable, the room very nice and with an interesting internal design. we enjoyed very much our stay here. there is a spa but it is not free of charge for hotel guests. there is a useful car park underneath the hotel connected with a lift to the hotel. the hotel room is slightly overpriced.

Nice modern hotel but pool area shut too early, no balconies and no English tv channels. The breakfast is good however the egg is too raw. The staff are lovely and helpful. The location is very run down.

Everything funksjoner very well except for two things: the last night we ordered a wake up call, but it never came to is. Secondly, er found the air conditioning to be unstable, so er woke up early because of overheating of the room.

Staff is very friendly and helpful with a real willingness to help you. Hotel's design is very nice but seems not to be used at its full potential. Breakfast is fair but not at the level of hotel's fares : outdated coffe machine, limited choice, ... Restaurant is at most a snack bar : limited choice, time to get your order very long, clearly at the moment not the element to help to keep the hotel in mind. Very nice room ;-) and the welcome's present with a plate with lots of fresh fruits was very well appreciated.

We were very satisfied with our stay in Olbia. Should we come back to Olbia it is very likely that we we will stay at Mercure Olbia again. Especially the suite is very nice for us travelling as a family. The breakfast was also very nice. I also appreciate your welcome drink offer as Accor members for the four of us and not only the membercard holder. It is a small thing but something we really appreciate.

« Weird rooms, but good location »

Hotel has very good location, near to city centre. Hotel surrounding is a bit weird (shaby industrial area). Hotel itself has original modern architecture and design and it is kept clean and tidy. But rooms are designed very uncomfortable, they look like not furbished yet (lot of tv wires hanging on the wall, weird wardrobe tossed in corridor, very very small bathroom). Aircon was not working in our room. Guy on reception desk was very kind.

We checked in later than expected due to industrial action by French Air Traffic Controllers. Our stay at the Mercure Olbia was a pleasant one. However, due to an error on Accor Hotels software we had to pay extra as the booking was made for one person not two, This is the second time this has happened, the other was at the Sofitel Pullman Roma for October this year. This hotel waived the fee - but not the Mercure Olbia. Obviously, before arrival at your hotel I complained about what had happened - this was followed by a telephone call from an Accor Hotels customer representative, he said I wasn't the first person it had happened to and that there was a 'software problem' and it was being resolved. I don't understand why we have to pay for a 'software' mistake. As I explained to him we have always striven to use Accor Group Hotels when we travel - now I have to say I will be looking at other hotel chains as we have never experienced this before. That said it was a good visit. One criticism - of all the TV channels there was not one English speaking channel, nor any other language - only Italian. Could you pass on my husbands thanks to the girls on reception and a special thanks to Marco and Fabio for helping him with his Italian.

« A good base »

A good base but it’s shame that there was no outdoor area to sit and enjoy the sun. The maid came in to our room morning when the do not disturb was on. Also not allowed to use the pool as it was only a hydrotherapy which cost €18 for 2 hours. The guy on reception was not very helpful. But Roberta and the other lady were amazing recommending places to eat.

« Amazing stay in Mercure Olbia »

We've spent great 3 nights in this hotel. Rooms are great as well the whole hotel, breakfast and stuff. They are super helpful and kind. I highly recommend also hotel's SPA. You have to make reservation upfront but it's worth to be there. Before reserving this hotel I've found some bad opinions and to be honest I do not understand them at all. People claim that hotel is located in "slums". If for those people slums means that hotel is from one side located on a small and quite street and from the other side you have railroad trucks with only few trains per day and super quite room then I think such a people really spent time on looking for problems instead of enjoying life:).

Very cool, retro hotel. Some things have been updated, others need doing (carpet in our room). Great breakfast. Staff allowed an early check-in which was fabulous for us. Sad sort of view out our window...
