We originally booked a privilege room but on arrival we were given a family room. Luckily a privilege room was available so we could change. Other than that our stay was, as always excellent and has become an integral part of our holiday when cruising.

« We used the cruise and stay package and were very happy with our overnight stay also the car parking facility.. »

We were allocated a room in one of the cottages which we found really convenient and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The cooked breakfast was really nice before leaving for our cruise. We hope to return for a future cruise stay. Thankyou.

We requested for Superior Rooms but they were upstairs with no lift access though we were assured when we presented ourselves at Reception at 8.00 am, everything was in order. We could only check in at 2.30 pmWe had to downgrade to a standard room, as a result. Poor communication .

I get this is a historic hotel but it’s unacceptable to have rooms with no air con. What’s worse is that I couldn’t keep the window open with any security as it opened fully so someone could climb

« Loved the unusual layout »

We had an accessible room and it was good to have a high toilet makes life so much easier, not all hotels have the correct toilet some have just the standard low toilet. The room was spacious, well laid out , clean and very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful making our stay enjoyable. Great location for the docks only 5 minutes so is great for a pre cruise stay.

Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable.The room was well laid out and easy to get around especially for an accessible room. The toilet was a good height making to easier to use which is unusual as a lot of hotels use standard low toilets in these rooms. Hotel is only 5 minutes from the cruise terminals so great for a pre cruise stay.

The bathroom was like an oven, which heated up the bedroom. The breakfast was average and the parking despite charging a fee is not guaranteed. The property needs maintenance and revamping the decor, carpet in breakfast room is frayed.

Location was excellent. Bed was comfortable, room was spacious but needed upgrade of carpet and furniture. Very limited wardrobe space. Sash windows all need replaced as they rattled all the time and stopped sleep. The lights weren't very efficient. The reception also needed upgrading. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate and there was a choice if you asked. Dinner on the couple of occasions was very nice. The hotel bar tended to close around 10.30!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night pre-cruise stay at the Dolphin. Being disabled I appreciated the handiness of the bedroom to the entrance. The staff all were very friendly & helpful & the hotel is in a very central position with the airport bus stop being directly opposite, which also calls at the Central railway station. In all a memorable stay & our thanks to all involved.
