« It is a really budget hotel »

Hotel was ok. Receptionists were really helpful every time we asked for something. Room was very small but clean. We were just disappointed with one thing - theres no shelf or wardrobe so you have to keep your clothes in your suitcase.

It was an okay experience. The room was fine. However, on Friday morning I noticed mold on bed sheets, which was concerning. Other than that it was a good place to stay for a brief trip to Amsterdam.

« Really pleasant, everything we needed. »

The reception staff really go above and beyond, seemed there was nothing they couldn't do. Very knowledgeable and helpful, even a courtesy umbrella when it rained. We liked the tables and chairs out front for a night cap, the car park may not be much of a view but it's nice and quiet. The room was small but spotless clean and attended daily. Breakfast was really nice, good variety of choice and excellent value.

Horrific. Our room keys didn’t work once; we was there for 4 nights. Not ONCE worked. Tried charging me every single day for a bus ticket I paid for on the first day we arrived. Our room only got cleaned once in 4 days - that’s disgusting. We had to go down and ASK for new clean fresh towels. Then when checking out. Your staff proceeded to laugh and talk about me and my boyfriend in Dutch, thinking we don’t understand. “She’s getting upset he’s fine talk to him” - do you really think you can get away with it? Just because I don’t have an accent, or even speak Dutch to YOU does not mean I don’t speak it. Never again will I stay here - and have told everyone NOT to go to you.

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. I tried to find out what went wrong during your stay. As far as I can see a lot of mistakes and misunderstanding is created by my team. It started with the first payment when they charged you for 249 instead of 294 euro as agreed in your confirmation. The system calculated there wasn't enough money to cover the stay, so the room key is blocked to force you to come to the reception. Most likely my team activated the key every day again, without checking properly the reason why it was blocked. Here we come to the point of the bus tickets what was seen by them as the mistake in your account instead of the less paid amount with check in. I have taken the appropriate measures to address the problem about the cleaning and have taken the necessary steps to prevent this in the future. The girls on the morning shift on your departure day assured me they didn't laugh about you but where very nervous to confront you again with all the stupidity we made during your stay. Because your indeed getting upset they tried to talk with your boyfriend. Of course I confront them with your comments and their unprofessional behavior. All together everything what possibly could go wrong went wrong during your stay and once again I want to apologize for that. I appreciate your sharing your concerns and I hope you understand this isn't a normal situation and not the way I want to run my hotel. I have refunded the amount you paid to your account and it's my hope you will accept my apologies. Sincerely, Ron de Graaf General manager

It was a good hotel to stay in while having activities outside. A welcome package on the transportation system and how to use it might be a good idea. We've been provided with such information and a map because we asked for having one. Taking the initiative from the side of the hotel might be good sometimes. Also, I'm not sure why a child breakfast is not included in the triple room. I suggest that you include since it will not cost the hotel a lot but might raise a situation of dispute like what happened with us but was solved amicably.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Ibis Budget Hotel in Amsterdam. The staff were so friendly and welcoming when we first arrived and our room was very comfortable and kept extremely clean. The pizza they were selling there was also very satisfying. The only thing we might recommend is a towel outside the bathroom so water does not drip everywhere.

I was surprised to find several dogs staying in the hotel. I spilt some milk in the restaurant and on wiping it up found that the floor was black. A dramatically different standard from ibis styles.

« Excellent & Helpful Service at all times. »

Best stay in any hotel and we frequent many Ibis Budget but this was by far the best. All personel were helpful and printed out maps when required. Rooms were kept clean and food (limited) was available in evening if required; not had this service in any other Budget before but very welcome.

« Good budget hotel with some quirks »

Overall good. The only issue I have is that the shower cubicle is in the bedroom!. Even if you are staying with family, you do not want to shower in front of everyone! I think this is a serioud design flaw. Otehrwise no other complaints.

I am commending the hospitality of the front desk staff who were pleasant and welcoming. The beak fast was great as well. I however would recommend that the laundry services be organised by the hotel to make it easier for the client. Thankyou for having me.
