We’ve stayed in the Ibis a number of times and found it a good stay with lovely staff, Elena was one. The rooms are fine and the location just over from Shepherds Bush station is great. We got a very reasonable price to stay here.

Nice stay. Clean good rooms although plug points next to the bed would be good. the only disappointment for a hotel brand thats trying to be environmentally friendly is the plastic cups wrapped in plastic. totally unnecessary. Can we not just have glasses that get washed.

« very clean, great staff & a good price with breakfast »

Efficient & good value for money. The only issue we had was the towels. They are so thin (like a tea towel...!) The guy in reception said this was something to do with the washing process, but I stay in hotels all over the world & have never heard this before. A towel needs to dry a person & these are as poor as I have ever used in a hotel. Other than that small point - the hotel / staff / cleanliness / location etc was absolutely fantasic.

We chose this hotel because of its convenience to the TV centre as we had tickets for a live broadcast. The location was great, the room comfortable and the staff were all friendly. We were a little disappointed that some of the hot food items were not as hot as we would have expected. Other than this we couldn’t fault it.

Everything was just perfect, my room was really nice, breakfast so tasty and varied. The stuff in the hotel is more than helpful and nice. The hotel itself is really modern, focused on all details, interior design is fantastic. I really like those small details in the hotel and the way how reception desk works- online check-in and check-out is just great :)

« A nice surprise! »

Having stayed in an Ibis hotel before and not having a pleasant experience, I was hesitant about staying in another. But needing a last minute booking in London I took the chance. I couldn't have been more impressed with the hotel and the staff. The location was within a couple of minutes walk from Shepherd's Bush underground station, which was very convenient. The hotel was immaculate, very clean and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Staying in a second floor room I was a bit weary about being able to hear the noise outside, but I didn't hear a thing which made for a really good night's sleep. Breakfast was buffet style and had everything you could want for. Only criticism, I booked for a late checkout, which cost £30 in person, had I realised earlier that I needed it, it would have been beneficial to book this online, as it was only £10. Other than that I would definitely stay here again, I have had my faith restored in the company!

My friend and I stayed 5 nights in Ibis Hotel Shepherds Bush. The check-in was fuss-free. After unpacking, we decided to change from 1 double-bed to 2-single beds room. They were fast in arranging our requested change and waived the extra charges too. Our inquiries were always promptly and well answered by the staff. The room conditions were good. The location of the hotel (being close to the Shepherd Bush Underground and Overground Train Station) makes travelling around London extremely convenient too.

« Traumatic. I got stuck in your lift!!!!! »

My partner and myself arrived at the hotel. Met by very polite staff. We made our way to our room 417. I needed to go to my car. Entered the lift, pressed the button for the ground floor. The lift started to move, then stopped. The door did not open. I pressed the floor button and the open doors button, no sound and no movement. It was a this point I realised the lift was not working!!! I rang the alarm, which seemed like a age before it connected to some sort of dialling tone. Eventually a female answered. The line was very distorted, I could barely hear or understand what was said. I explained where I was, and that I was beginning to panic. I was told that they would contact the hotel and not to panic. At the this point the call was disconnected, which I found quite stressful, given the thought of this being my only helpline!!! I managed to contact through to my partner and, although he was having difficulty in hearing me, tried to explain my position. At this point I tried to call the lift alarm again. This time I had no reply. Starting to panic, not knowing if anyone was trying to get to me. I rang the police ( I just need someone to stay on the phone with me, just to have contact with someone). Seconds later I heard someone trying the lift button on the outside. Then the door opened and the receptionist was stood outside the lift. I was in a very shocked state and shaken!. I went down to the reception area, where I asked the hotel staff to put up a Lift out of order sign up ( which they didn’t do, I must add!). I was offered a glass of water, told to calm down. They did apologise at their point. I had the most awful nights sleep, I’ve never been in this kind of situation before. It certainly was not a pleasant one! In the morning. In the morning I was told by the General Manager that they were not aware of the incident, which I find hard to believe that that hadn’t been passed on by the night staff. I would have thought a lift breaking down and a hotel guest being stuck for about 4-5 mins ( unsure exactly how long? ) would have needed a handover to day staff. I asked for some sort of compensation. Only to be told, this would not happen. We were offered a coffee. Myself and partner refused. We payed for the coffee and left... Disappointed to say the least. Just to add, I have had a day off work this week due to the stress. Regards E. W..

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. I wanted to let you know that I have investigated the matter with Otis (our lift company) and asked them to extract the incident report for that day which was empty. I also spoke to my night auditor Jagoda who explained to me that as soon as she had you on the phone she directly ran to the 2nd floor to call the lift which opened straight and let you out. Which makes me believe that you were pressing the button on the housekeeping exit side which is disabled hence the lift would not move at all if you are pressing on these buttons. That is probably why Jagoda didn't think it was necessary to make the manager aware of the situation considering that there was no fault with the lift. She probably didn't realise the level of stress you were in considering you had to call sick at work the next day. Chose this hotel for its proximity to the 02 Shepherd’s Bush Empire so extremely pleased with location but found the beds and pillows in our twin room were uncomfortable. Having said that the hotel was clean and the staff helpful
