I stayed many many time with different seasons but last staying was very bad due to the wedding music and very wide music.

Last time I stayed at the Mercure Khobar it was a 5* was recently got downgraded to a 4* but is actually a 3 * experience. The rooms need renovation (only the carpet was replaced with no convenient outlets near the bed), check in was professional but could have been friendlier (the only friendly staff was the bellboy) and the breakfast was really disappointing with orange juice that wasn't fresh, totally self service coffee, buffet not replaced and the food quality mediocre. There are a lot better 4 * hotels in Khobar to stay at besides the Mercure. Needs to upgrade its service, improve the rooms and provide a quality breakfast if they want me to stay there again. DoubleTree is a much better option in Khobar.

When i reached the hotel the person in the reception unfortunately gave me room with single beds not king bed as i requested and he did not offer me upgrade Then the room wasn't good and i did not find any towels and the telephone wasn't working and also the fridge was locked I really feel bad because of that From the other hand lackey one saudi person in the reception was in a tour on the same floor and he solve some of the problems

The room I was in had a door to the next room. I can hear the noise of the kids there. Also, room service knocked my door by mistake about three times, when I open the door they said sorry they had the wrong room because the 3 rooms where connected or something like that. Didn’t get what they actually mean.

« First time to be disappointed from one of Accorhotel's hotels. »

This is the first time I became extremely disappointing from your services. starting by the reception employees who're giving fault information to the customer care employee who is inattentive and reception employees not honoring their promises. Also, we're dissatisfied by the quality of the house keeping and we complained about it!!

« Nice but outdated Hotel and Rooms »

It was not good but not very bad. Breakfast was the best thing. The room was small and ugly. They gave me a standard small room although my reservation via accor website was for a Superior Room with half sea view and half city view..When I complained to the receptionnist, he said that it was not true. I was angry and I showed him the reservation. He gave us a Superior room...There was no baby crib..I waited for it for 4 hours . It was 10 pm and my 2-year old daughter kept crying because very sleepy and there was no baby crib to put her in. The receptionnist at check out was totally careless and didn't even smile or say any nice thing.He was impolite to say to me, "just put the key there" , Since I have already paid my room and there is nothing to pay on check out.

The staff are very helpful and all receptionists were very helpful and cheerful. Access from parking to hotel is not convenient especially with the side entrance closest to the parking closed because of the renovations. The room was below expectation and in my humble point of view doesn’t meet what I expect of a mercure hotel average room, especially that I do use the chains in my travels, as they are not properly renovated and lack taking care of the small details. The pillows were not comfortable, but the mattress is. Location is spot on !

This is my first experience with Mercure, and it was very good, and it could be excellent. The reason why it was not excellent, is the Breakfast buffet. * Main point is that, when something is finished, it is not supplied again. * The waiters are giving fault information. * The egg bar is not giving full attention to the guest requirement.

« Issue with payment »

There was an unauthorised transaction made by the hotel on a card without consent. When questioned on checkout the hotel denied any transaction made, although the bank statement clearly says otherwise. This also required to make the payment again. There is currently a investigation going on by the bank and i hope this will result in a refund. But this is uncalled for.
