Really great. Lovely views. Great location. Nice room. Good polite and friendly staff, always helpful. Pity the music at breakfast was so loud and strangely inappropriate. Headache making. Will definately go back.

The view was great over the lake and city. The food was perfect as well as the staff very friendly overly helpfull. Thr room was pleasent, just not fully clean there where brown stains on the blankets in the cupboards, there was a large white stain on the chair in the corner. Shower hight was a little low only at my chest height.

The setting of the hotel was beautiful. Check in was simple, with a slightly earlier check in much appreciated. Breakfast was excellent. The room was nice and clean (Room 21). The only issue was that the floor creaked badly when you walked on it, and we were very conscious of how this may have been impacting the neighbouring rooms.

« Great location and views, but a little disappointing »

It was OK, but every element had a niggle or issue, when put together made the whole experience a little disappointing. On arrival to the carpark I turned right, following the parking sign. There was one spot left and I had to drag my suitcase up the stairs. I later found out there was a bigger car park to the left, better signage would have sorted that issue. All checked in the first thing I noticed in my room was the buzz of the fridge. I could also hear everything from the guests next door - going to the toilet, talking, snoring, their phone pinging, yes EVERYTHING. After an exhausting week all I wanted to do was chill, so I ordered room service for dinner. I called room service and the phone just rang out, I called reception and the phone just rang out. I finally got hold of someone in the restaurant. I could hear a noise most of the night. I had turned my fridge off so it wasn't that. I was awake at 4am. Eventually at 6.30am I went to reception to see what could be done. The door was locked. I went back to my room and called reception and was advised the door would be unlocked. I was later told by a different staff member that door is not normally open until breakfast service. What if a guest needed to see reception urgently?! I asked if there was anyone in the room next to me that night or if I could move, I didn't have a great night sleep because of the noise. I was advised I could move but to a superior room (I was in a Privilege) and there would be guests in the room above me. This wasn't an ideal solution. I thought about going home. I pondered at brekky and decided to stay and suggested that the guests in the room next to me could be asked if they were using their fridge and if not, please could they turn it off because of the noise. Sarah on reception said she would. I ordered lunch at Lakeview and at that time two other tables were waiting for their orders (a table of 2 and table of 4). The table of 2 got their food, then the table of 4, I thought not long now, I'm next! A few couples arrived in the meantime and placed their orders after me. After quite a long wait, my food came out at the same time as the two other couples. This seems odd and again disappointing that I had to wait so long. I got back to my room which had been made up and the comp water in the room had not been replenished, this surprised me as I was staying for two nights. I went off for a spa treatment. It wasn't until I got back to my room I realized I wasn't given the foot or hand massage included! (Since then I have let them know and they are going to compensate for a future visit). Had dinner in Mandy's. It was quite cold in there. Ordered salmon and the cassoulet. Menu said salmon was cooked medium. The salmon was quite well done. The meal was OK but not much flavour. I was waiting for the waiter to offer cracked pepper and/or come back to me to check everything was OK, he didn't, so I called him over as soon as I got chance and said I would love some chilli, lemon and cracked pepper please. After quite a long wait they arrived. It made the meal better. I would not describe the restaurant ss fine dining as per the web site. The shower looked amazing, but it took quite a few minutes to get warm water and it feels like such a waste of water, then once it came through it was really hot, just turning the dial down a little meant it was luke warm. My last experience of the stay was brekky on Sunday. I am a health conscious person and there was nothing I could eat - mushrooms in butter, tomatoes with salt, fried hash browns and the eggs looked like they had been there for hours. I asked if I could have something like avocado and spinach as I could not eat anything on display (the day prior I was luck to grab some poached eggs that had just arrived and mushrooms that had just arrived so were not swimming in the oil). After a miscommunication where I felt like I was asking for hens teeth, the staff member did explain that she has to ask a lot of questions in order to assess what I am really after and in case I have a life threatening allergy. This made me feel better :) But I really think in this health conscious age there should be more healthy options. I have been to a number of properties that have buffet breakfasts that include items such a veggies to make your own veggie juice. Hopefully you find all this feedback useful.

« Our stay at Clear Mountain Lodge was extremely comfortable, quiet and very relaxing. »

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay mostly because it was very close to our daughter's home. The family were able to visit us each day and together we had a lovely dinner in the dining room. Our room was very comfortable including the balcony. The staff were very helpful and assisted us wherever possible and our grandchildren really enjoyed the experience. We will definitly be coming again when we visit our daughter.

We recently had a 1 night stay at Clear Mountain. It was a lovely stay, comfortable and very relaxing. Staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner and Breakfast was delicious. My only feedback is the shower pressure was horrible. We enjoyed our stay and would be back.

We had booked one nights accommodation package for $199, in a privlege room. The in-house movies, we tried to use, however the instructions provided where not clear, therefore we missed out. And the dinner included, could of been better. We ordered the risotto for entree and it was under cooked. And the main course was ok, I had the steak but the side of cherry tomatoes were not cooked. The steak was nice, but more sauce would of been better. My friend had the pork belly, very small serving and very little sauce, we had to ask for more. And for dessert I choose the sticky date, it was very dry and tasteless, I make this dessert myself and it’s much better. And we had a Cold breakfast the next morning that was pretty disappointing and not to mention I bought a small latte, and I was absolutely disappointed with this, the price was $6, this was not advised till after I placed my order, that’s insane for a small coffee. And not to mention when I received my coffee to our table, I went to pick it up and the lid was not on, which spilt on my pants. We also booked into Stephanie’s mountain spa, the treatment package was lovely. Overall our girls night away was pretty average.

Clear Mountain Resort is always a relaxing place to get away. The food at the restaurant is always amazing, I even had to ask the receptionist if the deal I was getting was correct because they have been also having some fantastic deals lately. *PS not to be shared publicly. I have had any issues they have been minor and staff have always been friendly, prompt and accomodating. One particular time the power went out while dining in the restaurant, we didn't mind as it did create a nice atmosphere, it was a little dark but the waitstaff improvised and added extra candles to the tables, there were some patrons who were not happy but this is not something that they could control and did a good job. Also in my last stay I advised the staff of a faulty drinking fountain and a small issue where one of the outside lights would shine directly into the bed. I am sure that this will be rectified by the next time I stay.
