- Arrival : The hotel's airport shuttle took forever to arrive at the airport, when it eventually arrived, it was a salon car and the driver had picked another passenger with their luggage so there wasn’t enough room for all the luggage in the boot. So some of the cases were put in the back of the car on the passenger seat and I and my husband had to squeeze in beside them. - Delayed check in: We weren’t checked in on arrival because of a mix up with Accor taking payments. We thought we had booked the advance room and paid at booking. The reception staff told us Accor did not take advance payments for their bookings. This was rather, confusing as we made the booking on the Accor website and received a confirmation email with a zero balance i.e nothing to pay at the hotel. This continued till late into the night settled only after we called Accor customer services. The customer service agent over the phone suggested a hold be placed on my husband's card pending a further check on our bank account to confirm that no advance payment had been taken prior. - The first room (Rm 516) : Getting off the elevator, you are hit with a loud noise from the air conditioning unit on that floor. The bed was hard and gave me back pain by the second night . The curtains in the room were torn and shower door didn’t close properly. Water from the shower was leaking onto the floor so I requested to change my room - Restaurant : Food was just okay and the restaurant staff were polite and helpful. At times different meals on the buffet and juice were not being replenished. Unfortunately I also had eggshells in my friend egg, but my worst turn off were the flies (not something you would expect at an Accor). - Checkout : We had a late flight out of town (10pm). The receptionist reluctantly permitted late check out until 4pm as an Accor silver member. We did have to wait at the reception with our luggage for 2hours before we got the airport shuttle to the airport. The return ride was much better. - At check out we were charged again for the 8night stay and the initial hold on the account which was placed at check in was not released until after a week. I did write to Accor to point out the double charge before the hold was released. This caused my family further inconvenience. No apologies received - Accor points: I still haven’t been awarded Accor points for my stay. Accor advised the reason being that I did not stay in the room myself - I can’t imagine why they think that.

It is sometimes useful for persons not to give feedback as in my case, going to breakfast on the 26th March 2019 and discovering a dead roach on the waiter with the cups was a big turn off and as such my review can negatively affect your business. To the credit of your food and beverage manager, he let good sense prevail and not bill me for the breakfast. Hotels need to be extra careful when catering to the needs of international clientele. Then the drunk man cursing in the lobby after arriving on an international flight on the 28th March 2019 is also a big no no. There was no reason why he was not put out the hotel immediately. If you doubt my evidence feel free to contact the representative who worked the evening shift on the 28th March 2019. We are firstly sent to a dirty room on the 3rd floor. As we put our key in the lock, the tv is on and the room reeks of old sweat. Then we are relocated to room 507. No toilet mat and the shower is backing up. We had to repeatedly request a mat before receiving one. The clog was cleared the next day. Things like this leave a bad taste in the mouth of guest. Then we are told we are being given double occupancy but was put in a single room. Only to find out that your concept of double occupancy means an extra breakfast. No way Ibis!!!! It does not work like that!!! Double occupancy means a bigger room fyi!!

The hotel, compared to others of similar class, quality and services is way too expensive. Other hotels around for instance charge N200 for a small bottle of water, this hotel charges N700. Food was N7700 and room was N37200. Even better quality hotels around charge around 30% lower. I won’t be using this hotel again soon.

Location and look of the hotel was very nice and was close to the Airport. I stayed in room 207 and the paint around the HVAC unit was really bad. Also, the quality of some of the finishes in the shower wasn't so good. In general though, i liked the ambience and feel of the Hotel. only minor finishing works leave much to be desired for the ibis brand.

IBIS Ikeja is always my preferred hotel, whenever i travel to Nigeria. the experience is always good. Need a bit of upgrades though in terms of food quality... But overall i enjoy my stay in IBIS... See you soon

My experience wasn't pleasurable. What hotel refuses their guest eating in their rooms. Ordering a meal takes over 2hr to get to the rooms. Staff are overly reluctant on the phone to attend to guest.
