Customer service at the front desk could be much better. I choose to stay at the Pullman every time I am in Shanghai (10-20 days each month). My assistant made a mistake with the room reservation and double booked rooms for a week through online booking sites. I tried negotiating with the front desk for flexibility to change one of the bookings to the following week as I will be back in Shanghai but was told there is no flexibility permitted. Hotel is comfortable but as a frequent and loyal business traveler I would expect better service and flexibility if a hotel is to remain my preferred choice.

Staff are friendly and attentive and extend a good dosage of genuine welcome. Special mention goes to Vivian at the Club floor and Chris (the tall/thin gentlemen) at the Concierge, they are both efficient and extremely helpful.

Our hotel is located 15 minutes by walk from the Shanghai South Railway Station, 14KM from Shanghai Railway Station and 23KM from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station. Our hotel is right next to the elevated highway leading to Shanghai Downtown and have metro station of lines 1 & 3 nearby, that can reach out to the Nanjing Road area and also to most of the areas in Shanghai. Even with all the staff I know (or most) have moved to other properties, I still enjoy the elegance and relationship. I didnt get turn down service either night i stayed. I do like ice often with a drink or some something in the evening and I didnt get welcome fruit or gift upon check in. This was the first time in many stays where this did not happen. I do think Simon in F&B is one the best staff in that department. he is attentive and remembers me over the years. The girls in the executive lounge are kind, a little english practice might be helpful for them. Otherwise it was an amazing stay.

This is my second stay with your property, this time for an extended period. I appreciate the hospitality and service shown to me, it made for a good experience. Couple of points of feedback: 1. I was allowed an early check-in (10am). It was only after the front desk staff were reminded that I was an Accor member that I was given this complimentary though - in other words, I was going to be charged for an extra day stay initially due to early check-in. 2. The only other gripe I had was that I saw that the toilet seat in my room had not been thoroughly cleaned - there was a stain. Thank you. And I will definitely be using your property on my next visit to Shanghai.

Thank you for bringing up the early check-in situation that you encounter and let me advise you of the followings: - Ms. Chen of BCD Meetings made the room reservation for you to arrive on February 26. - Afterward she advised us that you would be arriving early on February 26, and in order to have the room ready upon your arrival, she advised us that we could pre-register your room on February 25 and the room charge would be guaranteed and paid by your credit card. Then, Ms. Chen sent your credit card details to our hotel. Therefore, upon your arrival on February 26, our Front Desk agent advised you of the room charge for the night for February 25. When you spoke with our Welcomer Manager about your disagreement for that charge, our Welcomer Manager made a mistake to agree to waive the charge that should only be one of the benefits for our Le Club members of Gold and Platinum levels. I hope above has clarified your queries about the early check-in arrangements ant the Le Club benefits. In addition to this issue, I am sorry to hear that there was a stain on the toilet seat in your room. Please accept my sincerest apologies. Kindly be assured that we have already discussed this matter with the head of department concerned and actions had taken immediately to improve the cleanliness of guest rooms.
