Staff all very helpful as expected. service of food for dinner was very slow - one night it took an hour from order to food driving at table! There was a problem with hot water boiler but alternatives offered by reception adequately overcame this issue for me.

« From the moment we arrived early until we left all the staff were very firendly and provided an excellent service. »

I would highly recommend to all. We arrived early (before 0900hrs) and were able to get one room at just after 1000. The service in the bar at lunch time and dinner was prompt , friendly and made us feel very welcome. Can you thank all the staff. Everywhere was very clean and tidy and any staff that we met, where again very pleasant.

there were a lot of faults. Noisy and dark room, not being on list for breakfast, being asked to pay for linger for longer twice, being asked to pay for Sunday lunch even though had linger for longer, inexperienced staff, could here everything from room above. All these caused our stay to be unmemeorable and spoilt the weekend wedding experience we were attending

The food at the wedding was undercooked, cold and tasted awful. The room was overpriced with 2 dirty towels in the bathroom. I spoke to a member of staff walking past outlet room who told me it wasn't her job and to speak to someone else. At breakfast the next day one of our party waited almost 30 minutes for a pot of tea. There were no croissants left and I was told they would not be bringing anymore out as breakfast finished in an hour. Overall it was a terrible experience. Especially considering the other options available for a similar amount of money. We most certainly will not be returning and although we were considering your hotel for our wedding this will not be happening now

Stayed for a wedding but had to book direct as hotel insisted we pay for 2 nights not just 1 after wedding, very greedy! Our room was ok but I know other rooms were much nicer as my family were staying in them. Our room was a bit tired, rather dark and incredibly hot. Bathroom was very clean. I don't feel our room was value for money but other guests at the wedding had refurbished rooms that were very nice so I suppose it's just pot luck.

Lovely hotel... but booked an executive room and it was like going back to the 80s. The bathroom was lovely however the bedroom and lounge area need updating

Very efficient at check in and only a one night stay so the fact that I was sited immediately adjacent to extraction outlets did not bother due to sleeping well due to the travel fatigue. The new restaurant service was excellent and staff friendly

I requested an upstairs executive room in booking which was not allocated. I was assured I would be moved upstairs for my 2nd nights stay, this never happened.

Nice hotel, needs modernism but there is no heating control in the rooms. Mine was really cold and my colleagues was really warm.

Our visit to the hotel for my birthday to play golf was made special by the kindness and attentiveness of all the staff we encountered, in the hotel, the golf club and the restaurant. It made for a very enjoyable stay despite the extremely inclement weather. I would like to thank all the staff who helped make our short stay so pleasant, thank you.

Hotel was great as always. One big down side for the fourth time I have not had my points added to my loyalty card, this is even after I brought up the fact I had not received the previous 3 nights, but even mentioning it still get get this night credited. Can you let me know what I am doing wrong

Room was nice enough but cold at night. No way to adjust temperature. No extraction in the bathroom. Rude barstaff in the Clinton suite. No bacon at breakfast despite staff promising it was being made. Not enough coffee in the room. Couldn't get any from reception.

Had a lovely stay at the hotel. Rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty, with glorious crusty bread and scrumptious poached eggs. Used the swimming pool, which was very small, fortunately there were only 2 in, or it would have been an issue to get a decent swim. A few minor negatives but didn't detract from my 10/10 score-pillows rather high, tried them both but had to sleep without any in the end. Very strange lay out for pool area, with having to come through the gym in swimsuit to get to pool, not ideal and I'm sure that would put a lot of people off using the pool. On checking out, the receptionist never asked if we'd had a good stay and if everything was ok, that's not good customer service and should always be asked. Overall though a great stay and having been a few times before, I'm sure we'll be back. Thank you.

The hotel rooms are dated and badly in need of refurbishment, the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. On Sunday, considering checkout is 11am, at 1020am the housekeeper just came into the room using her key, without knocking or anything, saw us and apologised, then left. The breakfast food was cold and they were re-laying the tables after people had finished without cleaning the tables. There were dried beans on the tables as well as other bits of food. The backs and seats of the chairs were shocking, looking like they had never been cleaned. The coffee machine had never been wiped over, it was in a disgusting state. Above the shower were dead insects that had been crushed, bits of hair on the edge of the bath. The swimming pool water seemed murky and the jacuzzi was out of order, even though it was working! On a positive note, Carter & Fitch restaurant were very good, food was excellent and the staff were extremely pleasant. As were the staff on reception, very friendly.

Was expecting something a little bit special with the room but it felt more like a premier inn or travel lodge kind of room very basic but everything was clean and tidy beds were comfortable

A lovely hotel room comfortable beds and very well appointed. Lifting in bathroom needs attention. Probably one of the worst breakfasts ever at any hotel. No food left other than sausages not even scrambled egg had been replenished. Disgraceful service and no attention at all from the serving staff. Am amazing breakfast room called the Orangery but falls short on all accounts. Even burnt Danish Pasteries left in the basket. No fruit nothing replenished and we were a bit late at 0945 but breakfast was supposed to be served until 1030.
