« Nice views but cheap mattress and not Eco-friendly »

Hotel is situated on a very nice spot with Seaview. The rooms are standard but amenitys like coffe maker or boiler are not available. Service and comfort is below standards (We booked a Bottle of Champagne with VIP welcome. Still waiting for the VIP treatment. Very thin and cheap Mattress.) Our Towels were changed every day though we hanged them on to keep them. Dirty Champagne glasses not changed. We expected more, booking an Accor group brand hotel. Very friendly personal .

« No sea-view »

I believe the Delfino is one of the best options in Taranto. However, I was disappointed because I could not have a sea view room in spite of the low occupancy at the hotel in the period of my stay. The explanation we were given at the front desk is that the hotel doesn't have any sea-view room suitable to be prepared as a triple room (my wife and I were travelling with our daughter). It was a gorgeous December day and a sea-view room would have greatly enhanced our stay. Frankly, I cannot believe that a third bed cannot be accommodated in a sea-view room. Why should they be smaller than rear-view rooms? In fact I would expect the contrary. This kind of lack of flexibility is at odds with the fact that travelers nowadays expect to receive an accommodating attitude rather than a rigid one. Please note that I would not fault staff at the reception for this. They were quite nice in fact. I would blame hotel management instead I would really like to receive a serious explanation of this rather odd and unfriendly hotel rule. Thank you

Generally good. Please see comments below. I would stay again. Breakfast good but expresso and capuccino not warm enough. Egg and bacon not kept heated and often not hot enough. Were the 2 rooms we had the best in the hotel?

I didn't like the bathroom towels (too thin and too hard). The carpet in the hallway outside the room was filthy. The breakfast was low quality (fruit salad out of a box, napkins so small they resembled noise tissues).

« False promises, cold cooked Breakfast and very dated »

The hotel was booked through the Accor website along with email correspondence to the manager. As a Gold Card member of Accor, I have stayed at many Mercure and other branded hotels from this group. I confirmed a room upgrade from a double room to a beach facing suite. All was confirmed and we were looking forward to or stay. When we got to our room it was a dated standard double room overlooking an abandoned petrol station next door (seriously looked like a bomb site). This was the worst Mercure room I have seen anywhere and was clearly not the beach facing suite I had been guaranteed (I have emails to back this). We did get a beach facing room after being told someone would come to our room with the new keys. After waiting for 2 hours we went to reception, and without apology for not coming to the room, or calling it, they gave us the new room key. At least it was beach facing but not a suite as none were available. We looked at other hotels in the area and found many cheaper and better hotels on Booking. As much as I like the Accor brand, don't even consider this poorly run relic from the 80's.

We have never ensure a room facing the beach because there is no beaches in Tararanto because were we stand is facing the basin of Mar grande. a long walking distance from the city center, along the beach. comfortale room, very poor breakfast, nice dinner, remote and peacefull enough for a seminar or conference. reception were not aware of my privilages as an accor platinum member, but they granted my request to an upgrade

iwas expecting the promised "breakfast buffet with an organic range" , but there was nothing organic with the extremely sweet serials or the sweet yogurt, or the white bread, with no vegetables at all,no natural juice etc. the dinner i had at the hotel was much better.

Professional staff, but the hotel needs a renovation, i mean the fitted carpets on the floors are really ruined and even the shower box shows old signs.
