« Loved my stay at the IBIS Aerocity Delhi »

A warm welcome personalised note got me big smile as soon as I entered my room . The experience overall was amazing- from the hospitality to the response for my queries to the food spread each time . Check in , checkout was extremely smooth and was done very quickly. I am definitely staying there again whenever I end up in Delhi next .

« Cold and slow »

Room was cold but housekeeping gave me second blanket and then I was comfortable. I ordered some dinner from room service. Gave room number twice was told it would come in 35 minutes. After one hour and ten minutes I called again as I know sometimes things get delayed. Then then sent the food but told me the reason it was delayed was because I gave wrong room number. I recall specifically giving correct number twice and the man reading it back to me correctly. I insisted it be taken off my bill and he argued that I gave him wrong room number, that if I refused payment he would be required to pay the bill himself, and offered only 15% discount. He called twice to argue but I insisted it was his mistake and he took it off my bill. At checkout they asked and I told them about this. They apologized and provided me with complimentary airport car service. I was not expecting this and I was fully satisfied with the situation and their service

« Appalling service in your restaurant on the evening of the 5th January »

On the evening of Friday 5th January, I went for a meal with one of my consultants and my wife. We all ordered al a carte. My employees meal arrived within 15 minutes and then my wife's meal (chicken burger) tok another 20 minutes to arrive and it was literally cold. We sent it back and when it came back it was a little better but it was again cold in the middle and the chicken was pink and not cooked through. In the meantime I was still waiting for my order. It was now over an hour since we ordered and over 40 mins since my employee's meal arrived and we were complaining throughout and had the usual it will just be a few more minutes sir!. At this stage ihad become so disatisfied i told the water I was leaving and di not expect to pay the bill. At which point he screamed at the kitchen staf and somehow a meal appeared. I complained to the manager and she kindly offered to cook another meal but I declined as the service had been appalling. I was have expecting an apology by the manger on departure or maybe a discount on my bill but nothing not even an acknowledgement that there had been a problem the night before. I am returning to the IBIS Delhi on the evening of Thursday 17th Jan (as I have a prepaid room), perhaps I can be genuinely surprised by the response to my complaint. Last night I stayed at Swissotel Kolkata and was blown away by the experience and food quality.

We took the AeroCity bus($2 each) for 5 km east from DEL T 3 to arrive at this Ibis Hotel at 5 AM. With normal check in at 2 PM for our 2 night stay, we opted to pay 1/2 of the daily room rate to access our 6th floor no smoking room immediately, and also have breakfast. At the end of a long hallway, our quiet nice sized room had a comfortable queen with 2 nightstands, a small couch, long desk with chair, coffeepot, and an insulated window with view over the front court, wall TV with CNBC/CNN/BBC, and nice sized bathroom with soap, shampoo, shower and hairdryer. The 6:30 AM breakfast buffet was well serviced and extensive with juices, fresh fruit, good cereals, egg/pancake station, 2 coffee machines, breads, cakes, and wide selections of Indian foods. From 4 to 6:30 AM a modified version is available. The ATM out front has a $3 service charge, so we walked around the corner to access the lobby ATM (with no charge) at the first Worldmark Building. Nearby was a mini-mart for all types of snack food, then a further Worldmark Building had a beer/wine/liquor store, and below, an extensive food court with Subway and Ice Cream shop. We used Uber to visit the local National Rail Museum, Nehru Memorial Museum, Air Force Museum, Sulabh International Museum of Toilets, and to return to DEL T 3 for our onward flight. Aerocity's 3 square blocks has several international hotels interspersed by upscale shopping, perfect for a DEL Airport transit. Having last stayed at the nice Lemon Tree Premier Hotel, we found excellent value at this ibis with its helpful, friendly, and English speaking staff.

I stayed here with family for few hours (10 am to 2pm). Despite paying full night payment, the service received was well below IBIS standards. It started straight from check-in process.1. Was insisted to pay upfront as my stay was short. I have to deny thrice to pay at checkout.2. Asked to transfer luggage to room (as have 3 big and 2 small). Even after breakfast I have to remind and it took another well 30 minutes after that. so luggage arrived in room by 12pm.3. During breakfast, there was no service to table. I have to drop my dirty plates at disposal station.4. Lunch quality was just OK.5. During check-out, asked 3 times to pick up luggage from room. in 20 minutes, nothing happened apart from paying for room and redeeming some points. I have to take trolley and bring my luggage myself.Overall, Not at all happy customer. I should have stayed at Radisson blue, which was my previous year hotel and customized the package to suit my requirements.

Nice food and nice room. TV didn't work and the staff was about to charge me for 2 breakfasts though i was travelling alone and was alone in my bedroom. They thought that some random french guy was with me because we arrived at the breakfast buffet at the same time... Also; i had to pay my room at the hotel even though i booked online and on my booking it said that i didn't have to pay anything once in the hotel. Not very clear.

Pros: Excellent location, clean rooms, kind and courteous staff, thoroughly enjoyed the in room dining and breakfast spread! Cons: The staff at the reception can be a bit more attentive. I went at 8AM to clear my bills. I was asked to sit and wait as there was a customer ahead of me checking out which was fine. When I went back and joined the queue the lady first attended to a foreign national when it was clearly my turn! A similar incident took place while checking in. The receptionist stopped my checkin midway and attended to another foreign national by printing their bills etc. An equal guest relations policy would be nice as such incidents do make one think twice before making a future booking!
