« the first time for more »

the first time i stay, the FO staff Dicky and his friend welcoming me with nice and welcome gesture and fun attitude, i have upgraded to premier rooms in premier floor also, the staff so nice to me, also when i collect my welcome drinks with wirda. I hope i can see them again soon, about the room is nice, modern, have good view, comfort bed and clean sheet, also nice pillow, also for the breakfast is okay, the variety of the food is great, with more indonesian food which i like.. so it's great for me.

Another visit to the Novotel and I wasn't disappointed. Warm friendly atmosphere and nice experience. Hotel upgraded me and provided benefits that I very much appreciated. Staff was wonderful, Angel front desk very friendly, however some of the male front desk staff are very robotic. Hero and Sudiro at the Bell Desk answered all of my questions and helped me when needed. Rooms were clean and tidy thanks to the housekeeping staff (Leni included). Housekeeping were very quick to address any issues that I had however small they were. Did have some minor (very small issues), the sauna and the steam room were not working, in the breakfast area I would suggest that the persons (two girls) that are on egg duty listen to the customer first before suggesting something not asked for to the customer. On checkout it would be nice that the room departure be coordinated with the staff. I asked for a late checkout and received it but on my checkout day someone came to my door to ask if I was extended my stay. That was a bit unusual and annoying as they (the two persons) already knew I was checking out late, so why ask if I am extending? As I indicated these are really minor issues and it didn't affect my overall stay.

This hotel was a disappointment. We are used to Novotel properties being modern and clean. This property was falling apart and seemed dirty. There were flies on the food in the premier lounge and there were ants in our hotel room. The food in the lounge was not fresh nor delicious. The linens also were thin and felt unclean. It was also quite noticable that there was peeling paint, peeling shelving, and a general low quality to thr property. It also appeared that smoking was allowed in the bar area which was quite unpleasant. The elevators were very slow and ineffective, it was hard to tell which was arriving and which direction it was going in. The transformer plug only worked in a single outlet. The tv reception was poor as well. The staff was friendly and that was the only redeeming quality. We ended up checking out a day early, as well as losing a day's rate, since the reservation was prepaid. We wanted to stay at a nicer and cleaner property.

Everything is ok. Minus- no room upgrade even thou i was a gold member. Call at 9am and ask for late check out at 1pm and they never allow. A person call me at 11.45am to say that it is ok to have late check.

The room was very comfortable. Location next to a lot of restaurants. Staffs were great too. But shampoo and body wash were not sufficient in 1 tube. Tooth paste was a lot too little. Everyone, I have to ask for more... more... more. The tooth brushes together with the tooth paste were mostly unused and wasted.

« My kids love it! »

Travelling all the way to Jakarta, we decided to stay at Novotel Gajah Mada considering its location and facilities. Our kids love the spacious room, the pool and the restaurant. Breakfast selection is great and the restaurant is spacious. Great for family getaway, not far from Ancol, Old Town, National Monument and lots of cuisine choices around the area. Highly recommended.

I had stayed in novotel for few days. So far i had a good feedback from the hotel facilities. Especially while i asked the house keeping (geby) to clean up my room, she politely asked me about what else needed during my stay. She cleaned up well and listened to what amenities i needed more. The staffs are kind and welcome to me. The cleanliness of the room itself and overall were stunning. Keep up the good work, Novotel Gajah Mada! Will recommend this hotel for my colleagues if needed.

« Welcoming staf and nice ambience »

This is not our first time staying at this hotel, we’ve been staying at this hotel since its new. The ambience and the hospitality of the staff still good but we feel of dissapointment with the cleaniness of the rooms especially the sofa and the pillow at the living room, my two sons get an allergyc, they sneezing and their eyes get red, itchy and swollen.

The major area to improve is the check-in process. Especially for non members. Customers checking-in to the hotel should not have to wait more than a few minutes maximum to be finally served by hotel staff. The hotel should also provide a lift/elevator option so all of their guests can move easily from the garage to the lobby floor of the hotel.
