Hi, the room was lovely and i have no complaints about this. All the other areas are very clean and tidy and look nice. it's a lovely building. Equally, the team there are very polite and helpful. I have no complaints about the hotel or staff, they're great. The only thing that is slightly disappointing is breakfast. It's not that it is bad, it is just unimpressive. It is also very expensive, which makes it even more disappointing.

Good upgrade given 2nd visit in 10 days reception staff very welcoming good breakfast. Room more than adequate for a one night stay.good shower and plenty of towels. The pillows could be better but we find France generally not good on this point.

When I checked into my room I noticed that the comforter bedding was dirty - what looked like a lot of hairs as crumbs. I pulled the top sheet back and found lots of little hairs on the bottom sheet. I did take pictures of this. I went back to the reception and they gave me another room while giving me a half-hearted apology. In the new room I used to safe to store some of my valuables. When the next day I tried to open the safe it looked like the battery had died. I called the front desk and they sent somebody up, but apparently it was not the battery. Unfortunately the safety lock kicked in and she wasn't able to open it. I had to wait until morning when they sent someone else up who was able to finally open it. The staff was very professional during this safe issue.

Great Rooms, tidy and well maintained - a lot of potential! Sadly the counter staff was not really attentive. Thus i'm a Le Club AccorHotels Gold member i usually get a room upgrade on check-in. In this case the upgrade was not offered even though the Hotel was not fully booked, i had to discuss this matter with the counter personell on the next day and they seem to be unaware about this gratification for Gold and Platinum status members. Communication was a bit harsh and felt like i was begging for a unjustified favour. In the end i got the upgrade but the experience really was not great. Claiming to offer "unlimited coffee" at the Executive room but only providing 3 capsules does not really match the claim. The Wi-Fi was blocking certain services which made it not really useful for entertainment (e.g. Games) At check out the personell asked to pay the full price again despite everything was pre-payed. Again the tone was quite unfriendly. Also the personell was unwilling to provide a printed receipt because "printer is broken", however it worked fine for the previous and the next guests that checked out...

Usually great, this time I found room cold with windows open, pillowcase and towel with some trace, and I fall sick night because of ventilation, so ventilation cleaning should be verified.

Good Morning, I stayed 4 nights and have eaten several times in the restaurant for a total of €1040. I forgot some belongings of mine in the safe of the room n°307. I've been unable to go back as I was in the airport in Paris when I received their phone message. The staff finally sent my belongings back to me at home but when I opened the parcel some of them went missing. I called but the receptionist told it may be the postal services, I explained to him it was impossible as the Postal sticker was intact. Then I wrote to the General Manager, Hugo Nelson who answered me that my allegations were false and did NOT even take the complaint into account for further investigation. This is Outrageous for a so called 4 stars hotel!

En aucun cas nous avons remis en questions vos allégations, néanmoins nous vous avons précisé que nous avons envoyé ce que nous avons retrouvé dans votre chambre. Vous nous accusez d'avoir dérobé des "bijoux en or d'une valeur inestimable". Je vous prie de croire madame, comme expliqué, qu'une enquête interne a été effectuée, Cette dernière n'a pas révélé de dysfonctionnement. Je ne peux donc pas accepter de telles accusations sans fondements. Je vous invite a porter plainte auprès des services compétents plutôt que de mentionner votre mécontentement sur un site qui n'a pas vocation a régler ce genre de problème. Même si je comprends votre colère, je ne comprends pas le but d'un tel commentaire. Cordialement. Nelson Hugo

The bathroom of room 105 is too dark. itneeds more light. There is nothing to hand the towels. And it lacks on the upper room something to put the luggage. La alle de bain de la chambre 105 est trop sombre. Il n'y a pas de repose serviette. Dans la chambre du haut il n' y a pas de repose bagagge.

« Nice hotel »

We enjoyed our stay! The beds were comfortable, hotel clean and staff friendly. A few unfortunate things were that we had a split level room. The coffee maker was downstairs but bathroom upstairs. Lighting was poor in bathroom and the street was noisy st night. Overall good

« Birthday Long Weekend in Rennes for Wife. »

Hotel very Nice and Clean in General and staff helpful when speaking to us in English (their 2nd Language) Breakfast was Good - but don't expect a Full English !!!!! Spa area was small - but ok - at least we could access it at anytime. Couple of issues - Website and Booking Form CLEARLY states we could access rooms from 12noon - on arrival at the hotel we were firmly told we could only book in from 3pm. We left our Baggage at the Hotel and went for a meal and returned well after 3pm. This is an issue I've seen mentioned before and Accor / Novotel don't seem to have addressed the issue. If you cannot access rooms till after 3pm - DON'T say on your website you can get your Room at 12noon !!!!! Also I paid for my Stay in December in FULL back in September 2016 - I'm very upset to see Novotel have Charged me with a 'Pending Transaction' for £305 onto my Credit Card. I have e-mailed Novotel and Phoned them but so far they haven't bothered to reply.

Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Staff were superb - everyone was extremely friendly, from the Manager who made us all very welcome on arrival, the restaurant head who was extremely busy but made us feel very welcome, and the bar staff who were warm and friendly.

« Very enjoyable stay »

We (two adults, two children) stayed here for five nights and found it to be an excellent base from which to explore Rennes and the wider area. The junior suite is ideal for families, being split over two levels - our children used the sofa bed on the lower level, while my wife and I took the bed upstairs. Both levels have a TV. The hotel is well appointed, with a small swimming pool, gym, jacuzzi, steam room and spa in the basement; the breakfasts are good, the staff are friendly and helpful and there is free wifi. We didn't use the hotel restaurant in the evening, so can't comment - instead, we visited the very good and reasonably-priced restaurants around the nearby Gaumont cinema. (If you're visiting with children, the science exhibition and planetarium at the Champs Libres two minutes' walk away are also highly recommended.) So why four stars rather than five? I thought the parking charge of 13 euros per day was a bit excessive. Some of the gym equipment was in need of maintenance, in particular a running machine which kept sticking. (The wifi also went down for around 12 hours, but apparently it was out in the whole neighbourhood.) Overall, I'd have no hesitation in recommending this as a place to stay in Rennes.

Concernant, l'absence de wifi pendant un long moment le 07/08 , il s'agissait en effet d'une coupure générale d'électricité et du réseau wifi dans tout le quartier de la gare pour les travaux du métro. Concernant le tapis de course, il y en a un tout neuf et un plus ancien que nous avons décidé de garder pour l'instant. au plaisir de vous accueillir à nouveau. cordialement julien lefebvre

« Reasonable value but spoilt by little problems »

My wife and I booked the hotel because of the spa facilities that it offered. We found the room spacious and comfortable. However, there were some minor points that caused slight irritation. According to the website description there should have been a mini bar and unlimited tea and coffee making facilities. Apart from the complimentary water ,the mini bar was completely empty and we had just 1 tea and 1 coffee each. We had brought some drink with us but, as the mini bar was empty, there was no bottle opener available. I enquired at reception and was lent a bottle opener by the bar tender who asked for its return immediately as it was the only one he had! There was a general lack off information in our room, especially about the spa. When we went down to visit it, there were no written instructions about where to change etc. All a bit confusing. In the evening, after going out for a meal and then watching the illuminations, we returned to a locked entrance door. After waiting about 15 minutes and several attempts to call someone on the entrance buzzer we were finally let in by someone. Its little things like this that make you decide not to book there in the future.

Il est nullement précisé que le minibar est en illimité pour nos chambres standards, mais quoiqu'il en soit nous ne rechignons jamais à redonner du thé ou du café à nos hôtes le demandant. Quant à l'accès de notre hôtel, nous disposons de la présence de quelqu'un 24h/24h ce qui est loin d'être le cas de nombreux hôtels, pour des raisons évidentes de sécurités les portes ne restent pas ouvertes 24h sur 24, l'hotel est grand il faut seulement laisser le temps à notre personnel de se rendre à la réception. cordialement Julien lefebvre

Globally very pleasant hotel - very comfortable and very helpful staff, both of which are priorities for me. I did find the room service menu to be limited (though very reasonable priced) and the fact that the television in my room was broken and there we no alternative room available was an inconvenience
