« great for the average »

it was good, coozy and very well atended by hotel staff. I think that online check in is an outstanding development, but it is not very clear for the user to do it. Plus, i think it is not flexible enough... in my case, we were 5 people travelling with only one payment option and it was not possible for the rest of us to do de online check in

The room was a little smaller than I expected, but the bed was very comfortable and the service was excellent. I also enjoyed the wide variety of fruits, eggs, breakfast breads and more available each morning. The price for breakfast was very reasonable. Overall a great stay!

The front desk staff there, especially Danny (female) was incredibly rude to my partner and I when he checked in. I arrived first and he arrived later. He had a passport for documentation but she insisted that she needed more because he was Venezuelan. The documentation he had was sufficient at other hotels but you decided it was not sufficient at this hotel. She embarrassed him and me. It is clear that this hotel discriminates against Venezuelans and discriminates against gay people. I travel to Medellin a lot and will never return to this property. The staff there was unprofessional and rude.

« Great except that I think you guys use false advertising! »

Hello, For the most part I was very impressed by your hotel. Especially when I found in my room a card explaining your "guarantee of quality illustrated by the "15 minutes satisfaction" contract." What an amazing concept! Unfortunately my first morning in your hotel I had to wake up early for an all day tour, and there was no soap or shampoo in the dispensor in my shower! I was quite frustrated, as I had to wash with hot water alone, and knew I would be on the move, and outdoors all day. Right before I left, at 7am, I visited the reception and explained that there was no soap/shampoo in the shower, and that I would like some to shower properly later. The told me they would address it, and I departed. I returned from my tour at 7:30pm, far far more than 15 minutes. I was looking forward to arriving in my room, washing properly, and being able to rest before a long night out on the town. Unfortunately STILL NO SHAMPOO IN THE SHOWER. There as no number in the room to call the reception anywhere that I could find. I had to go down to the reception, where I had to wait in line for 15 minutes, to remind the reception of what I had asked them for 12 hours earlier. The only response from the reception was to fix it right away, no real apology, or mention of your 15 minutes policy. When I reminded them of your 15 minute guarantee I was assured the manager had been informed, that the matter would be looked into, and I would be contacted about it. Nobody every followed up with me, although there was shampoo in my room 15 minutes later, this time. I very much liked your hotel, but I was quite dissapointed by not being to count on that guarantee, and having to get back tired from a day long tour, and having to wait in line to complain about something that could have been quite easily addressed, and even further dissapointed that nobody ever responded properly to the matter. I would very much like to be reimbursed for that night, and for the time I had to take to write this message to you. However, even more I really did like your hotel, aside from this, and if you could live up to your guarantee, I would be very happy to recommend it to others in the future. Thank you for your time. « Top-notch quality and very friendly »

Every time I met the staff, be it at the reception desk, the restaurant for breakfast or the bar for a coffee, the people have been very friendly, with a honest and warm smile, ready to make every effort to provide the best quality. The room was always clean, in a good state and the bed was indeed very comfortable. I look forward to staying again in the Ibis of Medellin and will definitely recommend it to my friends and colleagues.

Not so good given the fact that the room ventilation was very poor and on the day of the marathon electricity was out- Not very nice to get to the hotel and have no elevator after the marathon
