« overnight stay »

Great location for access to the airport by tram or train station. Very happy with the room , very clean and large with a specious bathroom with separate toilet. I had not booked breakfast prior to arriving at the hotel and paid the 18 euro at check in for the buffet breakfast, with another option of I think 8 euro for a smaller breakfast, however when I arrived for breakfast the next morning no one checked my room number or asked my name. It was very busy and I feel a lot of people were taking advantage of a free breakfast. saying that there was a lot of veriety and the breakfast was fine,although 18 Euro is I feel overcharging and seemed very expensive

« Good stay, but could be better. »

A good stay, nice rooms, but there are two thing to improve. The first thing is the sink in the room will not drain after a very short time and starts smelling. (room 514) Second negative experience was at breakfast. I never had cold scrambeld eggs in a restaurant. The bacon was warm, but the scrambled eggs in the' "rechaud" was very cold, like it came straight out of the refrigerator without warming.

My experience was great from check in to departure. I enjoyed the extra amenities I received with the room. The only thing missing was there was no spoon or stirrer included with the coffee / tea service so that made mixing my coffee in the morning a bit difficult.

Pleasant experience with friendly staff. The only odd thing is that I am Accor member with all details up to date and yet I had to provide credit card details twice when normally they should all be on record already.

All ok expect the billing of 191 euros room was first charged 250 euros to cover for breakfast (I booked without breakfast) and other potential additional charges. At Novotel the rule is to do 1 euro billing at checking.

We decided to eat in the restaurant for dinner. We waited a long time for our good to arrive. The veal was cooked well, but the food was not very hot. My daughter had the steak haché and fries. The fries were cold and they looked like they had been reused from the previous day. These were not freshly cooked fries. We also ordered 4 tapas. The portions were so small, that it was more an amuse-bouche than traditional tapas. There were 3 restaurant/bar staff working but they spent more time talking to each other and setting up the buffet breakfast for the next day, than checking that all was ok with the guests. We asked for another drink and had to ask again when our drinks did not arrive. Later in the evening we decided to have a couple of drinks in the lounge area. One glass of wine and one beer was requested. By this time, the restaurant service had finished. We waited 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. We then ordered a final glass of wine and a Black Russian. Another 15 minutes passed before the server said that they did not have the liqueur for the black russian. We asked for an Irish coffee instead. It was another 20 minute wait before finally our drinks arrived. During this whole time we could see the staff talking and laughing with each other but paying no attention to us nor caring about how long we had been waiting for our drinks to arrive. Very bad customer service. When our drinks did finally arrive, there was no apology for the delay. Next day we received an email from the hotel with the bill of our stay and we were being charged for breakfast even though we had not requested breakfast nor had we eaten. The hotel not be pre-charging breakfast. Luckily the reception staff rectified our bill immediately. It's very unfortunate that the hotel room and location was so good, but the hotel was let down by inattentive bar/restaurant staff.

Very nice hotel, ideally situated for the Part Dieu train station and about a 15 to 20 minute walk into the centre of Lyon. The rooms are modern and spacious and there is a small restaurant where you can have breakfast or dinner.
