« Promising future ahead, but some points need work »

It was my first time in this hotel, overall I liked it very much. But from my side there are some working points. I liked the overall ambiance, the young team & their attire ensured a more relax/laid back atmosphere that I enjoyed a lot. Very happy with the staff in the restaurant, even when it was very busy on my second night. The staff remained very friendly & warned me ahead that waiting time could be a bit longer, but it didn’t bother me one time. For me all went as smooth as the evening before with less people in the restaurant, so good job from the restaurant team & the kitchen team! Some points that need attention, from my point of view: 1/ I came by car & used the parking; having to pay the parking daily at the machine was a burden. If it could be paid through my hotel bill it would have been much more practical. 2/ Somehow my account/bill was setup in a way that every bill had to be paid seperately & couldn’t be charged to my room & that couldn’t be changed for some reason. 3/ For such a new hotel I wasn’t expecting that in my hotelroom: a/ one of the bedside lights wasn’t working; b/ one of the hooks in the toilet were already hanging out of the wall. I understand that such a new hotel needs to find its ways, but if these (small) points will bring the overall experience to a new/higher level

Comfy bed, modern, quiet room, good breakfast. Only issue was no chair in the room in order to sit at the desk to work. All hotel staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful. I think it is great that it is possible to walk from Orly Sud terminal to the hotel-a major improvement on previous hotel experiences at Orly in years past.

Very good. I had booked a Hotel Transylvania room and was really disappointed (for my kids age 9 & 7) when the Receptionist told me that the room type was not available. However the Receptionist must have immediately notived my disappointemnt and went out of her way to make our room confortable with the themed bed linen and kiddies cups. Well done !

« Perfect hotel for early departure. »

Perfect location near to the airport. The hotel was nice, modern , new and clean. I couldn't open the window to have fresh air and the air conditioner looks like was working but wasn't I had just the air conditioner noise.. The bedroom was warm. Big room. Comfortable beds. I couldn't connect to the WIFI I used the IBIS HOTEL WIFI near to the Novotel each time I needed to use my phone. I used the IBIS HOTEL guest computer too. Next time I will stay at the IBIS HOTEL because I saw bedrooms with open windows and good WIFI and they offer computer station for the guests.

« Great hotel, poor staff »

Lack of clear signage and directions from orly west made it very difficult to dind the hotel. The hotel itself is very nice, beautiful rooms, spacious, nice lobby, nice breakfast. Staff was useless, there were 5 of them at reception all chatting with each other with each other, giving no attention to personnel. When I asked for instructions to go downtown, it felt like I was nothering them... not great!

Despite numerous emails and PHONE CALLS from the USA to the Novotel Paris Couer d'Orly at the Airport, I was charged a "day usage" for my two day stay at the Novotel Paris d'Orly. This should NOT have happened. While I understand that because I booked my FIRST night via Booking.com and my SECOND night via the ACCOR website, since I had made numerous email notifications and phone calls to the Novotel at the d'Orly Airport, and Booking.com, and ACCOR membership website....I was not allowed to simply pay for two nights. My plane was to arrive until 8am the morning. I paid full rate for that room. I asked the Novotel to please just keep me in the same room that I had booked on the 27th that I had booked through Booking.com as the subsequent room that I had booked through the ACCOR website for the evening of the 28th. Instead, I was charged 90 Euro's for the "privilege" of staying two nights at the Novotel since I could only check into my room booked for the 27th at 9am in the morning after my plane landed in Paris....so I paid not only for the evening of the 27th, AND the evening of the 28th but I was also charged a 90 Euro "day fee" for "checking into" a room on the morning of the 28th. This is NOT how a guest of the Novotel d'Orly should be treated...let alone a member of ACCOR's chain of hotels. I sent so many emails, I made so MANY international calls via my cell phone...that it boggles the mind. Is this REALLY how ACCOR treats it's customers? For the last five days I have been asking that question...to which I got no reply. Does ACCOR not underdstand the meaning of "guest" or "memberhship"? To be fair an ACCOR rep did sympathize with my plight...but their response to me was..."just talk to the desk at the Novotel d'Orly. Which I did...which got me two return emails that would send anyone into a tizzy! Now 90 Euro's might not not "break the bank"...but that is not the issue...the issue is how does ACCOR treat it's members, and how does Novotel d'Orly conduct it's business.

« A very bad way to treat your guests! »

I am hoping that the ACCOR Hotel Group will understand why I am so upset. I had booked a room for the 27th of August through Booking.com. When I realized that I would not arrive in Paris until 8am on the 28th I tried to get Booking.com to change the reservation. The Novotel at d'Orly would not allow Booking.com to speak with a hotel manager. They had called and emailed. I then called and emailed the desk at the Novotel. I made two phone calls from the US to Paris to try to resolve the issue. I was not allowed to speak with a manager either. I then called an ACCOR representative to explain why I was trying to change my reservation. They sympathized with my situation and suggested I work it out with the hotel locally when I arrived. I then sent the hotel an email saying that I was fine with being charged for both days but to please just give me the same room as I would not be checking out until the 29th when my flight was leaving Paris. Instead of doing that I was charged an additional 90 Euros for &quot;day use&quot; ...frankly this is NOT the way a customer of your hotel should be treated. I then emailed the hotel again in Paris d'Orly requesting this charge be removed. Here is the exchange below and their refusal to do so...is this really the way ACCOR group wishes to treat it's customers? It was just a short single overnight stay, however I would be more than happy to return and stay for a longer period. The hotel was very stylish, quiet and professional. The staff were all very attentive, efficient in their respective duties and very helpful.
