« Wonderful stay spoilt by having £1200 debited in error by the hotel from my husbands current account in error. »

The hotel is spotlessly clean, the clarins toiletries and the high spec hairdryer are a bonus too, food/drinks are expensive but good, I booked the trip as a 50th birthday present for my husband and the staff put a little cake, birthday candle, drinks and biscuits in the room for us which was a nice surprise, the concierge, Helen and Benjamin in particular were extremely helpful - now the negatives I paid for our stay in full when I booked through Hotels.com, at a cost of £717.00 for 3 days - very expensive but at the time I thought worth it, now that I have stayed I don't feel the hotel is quite 5 star, a lot of the furniture and walls etc. are scuffed, chipped and scruffy (tatty rather than 'arty') unfortunately the trip was spoilt with an unexpected £600 holding deposit was actually debited from my husbands account, a week later we are still waiting for it to be refunded, we then discovered my husband had been debited a further £594.00, we called the hotel immediately and after a quick investigation they admitted this was in error and I was promised a call back in the morning along with a refund - the call never came and the refund hasn't materialised either, its also a mystery as to why I was charged £717 by Hotels.com compared to the £594 debited by the Molitor for the stay from my husbands account.

« lovely hotel but was made to feel like a second class guest as corporate events seemed to take priority »

Hotel was beautiful and reception staff very helpful. However these were lot of small annoying problems which staff didn't seem motivated to resolve. Eg there were no gowns in the room - apparently laundry hadn't been delivered, service in the club house and the roof top restaurant bar were pretty awful. The roof top bar was particularly poor where staff were abrupt, service poor and disrespectful. There was also the issue of the "guest" flat out on the sofa (outside lift beside room 300) drinking vodka at 11am (yes, morning). Staff were unwilling to challenge this "guest" even though his behaviour was inappropriate. There were a number of corporate events on during our stay - these seemed to be the staff's priority and individual guests an inconvenience. Not sure id come back based as service was questionable at best

« Very nice staff, cigarette smoke everywhere, unimaginative breakfast buffet, room service served the same soup every night »

You have a smoking problem. Your hotel is advertised as a non-smoking facility and I noticed no smoking signs by the front entrance and each of the rooms. However, the first room I checked-into, room 201, smelled of cigarette smoke and I didn't care for the layout (it was also a handicapped room which I didn't want to be in). I was offered room 139, which also smelled of cigarette smoke. The next day, I was offered 4 more rooms of which 1 smelled of cigarettes, 1 had another foul smell, and the others smelled fine. The lobby smelled of cigarette smoke when the outside reception area was being used. I couldn't keep my window open during the day because people were smoking at the pool below. Overall, it was a disgusting experience and I found the air everywhere to be very dirty with cigarette smoke. You have to decide whether you're going to protect your non-smoking guests or your smoking guests. You can't have it both ways. You have to enforce the non-smoking rule and penalize guests with cleaning fees who smoke in the rooms. You also have to purify the air of these rooms after the guests check out. Regarding the breakfast buffet, it got boring after the third morning (I was there for 5 mornings) because the chef never changed the hot vegetables (zucchini/yellow squash), the mushrooms (brown, button mushrooms), the potatoes (small white potatoes), or the fruit ( citrus fruits, kiwi, peaches, and strawberries. It was the first week of September and ripe melons were in the local stores and shops so why didn't the buffet ever haven melons?) I think the chef could be more imaginative by offering different selections on different days. And speaking of unimaginative cooking, the soup of the day was the same for 3 nights when I ordered room service (melon gazpacho). Another night, there was no soup offered. There are hundreds of soup recipes--both hot and cold-and the chef should do a better job of offering variety to the room service menu. On a positive note, a special compliment to Benjamin (the doorman/bellhop) and the concierge staff. They were very kind and helpful. Your pools were awesome!! I only wish the water temperature were warmer.

I arrived o0n a Friday night at 10 pm and was given a room service menu that said it stopped at 11pm . I was told that this was a mistake and that it actually stopped at 10. It was very short menu. The menu in the room was much longer and also said it stopped at 11. The person on the phone at room service then told me that it had stopped at 9 and three was no food. The restaurant manager refused to prepare something to take to my room so i had to order from Uber Eats. My room cost €650 for the night. An utter disgrace.

« An incredible escape »

The hotel in itself is incredible: beautiful and large pools, a terrasse rooftop, infamous street artists in the indoor pool. It is not just a night at a hotel, it is an experience. I also enjoyed a massage at the spa, though a bit expensive.
