« Below normal Novotel standard »

Our room was not particularly clean; the carpet was “sticky”. Worse, though, was the bathroom. On arrival we found that the washbasin was blocked and the wastewater was not flowing away, and there was an unpleasant smell. We immediately rang the front desk to report the blockage and over the next two days we reported it three times in person. However, the problem was never fixed. This is seriously bad! The one positive aspect of the hotel was the restaurant; the food was very tasty and the prices reasonable. We were particularly well looked after by Mathilde. Not a bad experience, but housekeeping needs seriously to improve.

« Great value for money »

We stayed overnight during our trip to Spain. The receptionist was very kind, the restaurant service was great. We loved having dinner out in the terrace. The rooms were nice and clean and with a very comfortable bed. Overall it was a very good experience and we’ll stay at this hotel again.

« All fine but disappointed with airconditioning in this Novotel »

Clean, spacious room. Good quality breakfast. My sleep was seriously hampered by the airco system that does not allow to get the temperature below 24-25 degrees. This is not in line with the price and stars of this Novotel.

« Great hotel »

We had a great experience in this hotel. The suite was great to stay with our two children, has we can saperate the room in two in order to have two rooms in one. The location is also nice as the hotel is located beside a mall, in a calm area, but close from the center. You can reach the center either by boat or by tram. The boat is expensive, but very nice to do. The hotel also has a private indoor parking. The staff is great and was helpful with our requests. The breakfast is also nice. I will surely go back.

Two adjoining rooms make the perfect family lay out. Welcome drinks are a nice plus for Novotel loyal customers. Location is super pleasant. We did get bit by bugs in the bed and that was not expected at this kind of hotel.

I booked the hotel as we were travelling with two teenage kids and wanted two connecting rooms. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that the keys were not working so we would need to get someone from the reception to accompany us to the room every time. The technician would only come on the Monday (2/7). The TV in our room also did not work and we were offered another room but it would then mean that we did not have connecting rooms with our kids. We refused as the idea was to have connected rooms. I was also quite surprised to see the following: -the room had paper cups to make tea and coffee. -all in one shampoo/body wash was the only thing provided. The room did not have body lotion etc. -the bar fridge only had water (complimentary) I have stayed at a number of Novotels but have never seen paper cups for making tea and coffee. I am not sure I will come back to this property again. How can this property be a 4 star?

Everything was good except for check out. The day before we checked out, we requested for a LARGE TAXI to pick us at a certain time (reminded them we had 4 large luggage) to take us to catch our train to Part Dieu. A small taxi arrived 10 minutes late, and told us he could not take us because our luggage couldn't fit, and he took another passenger! Went up to reception to ask for help, and they just said, "well we requested for a car, and they sent that one". And that was it!!! I asked them to book another, or 2 if necessary, and only then did they do that. We arrived barely in time to catch our train to Paris, and had to pay for 2 taxis, as they did not request for a large one the day before, as requested. So disappointing!!! Also, my credit card bill just arrived and the E200 security guarantee (our room was 100% pre-paid before our arrival) has been billed to me. This is supposed to be reversed at the hotel. I hope this can be fixed immediately. It's too bad it is the end of our trip that was spoiled.

when i checked-in on sunday, the door access was not working which was very inconvenient as i had to ask to be escorted to my room. in addition, when the system was restored on monday, i was told there was nothing needed to be done but i was not able to get into my room and had to have the card re-programmed. otherwise, the stay was satisfying.
