Nothing was bad but nothing stood out. Very small and noisey room and average food. I expected more from a four star hotel as I have had nicer experiences in 3 stars.

« Good value for clean comfortable room. Breakfast a health hazard. »

Nice clean room. Really noisy from Main Street outside so wouldn’t suit everyone. Breakfast really disappointing - fridge with yoghurts not even switched on and at under a lamp so milk I was given was off. Fruit not very fresh. Overall sense of not very clean.

« Good hotel but confusion over arrival drinks and breakfast timrs »

The room and hotel was very good. As a silver member we were given free drinks vouchers at reception, these were declined at the bar. We then found ourselves going back and forth between the reception and the bar to resolve this, not sure why the relevant staff couldn’t just speak to each other. Also on arrival we were told breakfast was served until 11am on Sunday. It wasn’t so we missed it, but were still charged for it.

Room clean and bathroom fine. I would have preferred the shower to be more powerful. The room was basic, but that was all that was needed. Breakfast is OK, but nothing special. More fruit choice and ability to be more flexible with ordering hot breakfast would be preferred. Staff very friendly and polite.

Room was upgraded to a double room. Comfortable but very hot even when turning the heating off. Lamp didn't work and hot tap dripped constantly. Bathroom door had many marks on it where something had been spilt over it. Other than that everything else was okay. Breakfast was more than adequate. Would stay again.

The hotel was as expected - clean and basic. The on line booking system was abominable. Atrocious. Your online system refused to process my card (even though it was fine), so i rang the hotel directly. The receptionist quoted me a price that was £15 more expensive. When I asked her to honour the internet price she informed me that she was on the site and that was the price quoted. I too was on the site and it showed the lower price. When I checked in on Saturday she honoured the price I had been quoted, but only because I went back on the site and managed to get the card accepted and a confirmation email sent to me with the lower price. This, I stress, was not in any way the receptionist's fault. It is your system. It tells customers one price but your own staff another.

The receptionist was friendly, informative and accommodating. The premises were a little dated in decor, but comfortable nonetheless and location was convenient and accessible to all of the town centre's amenities. However if your room is situated on the second floor and you're stay is due to festive celebrations and you return to your room some what inebriated! Then locating your room may prove a little difficult!

They had lost my booking and credit card details The booking experience was awful too - as the operator took ages to sort out the booking blaming the computer system I had booked a deal to include breakfast in the room rate but they wouldnt honour it Fortunately they had a room for me The room was dark with draighty old metal windows I couldnt get the wifi to work desipte advice from the desk I had important work to do but ended up using my "mobile hotspot" The desk clerk advised the wifi log in was "www.bbc.co.uk"!! I gave up at that point!

There has been a Global issue for 3 days, some Hotels did not get any reservations. Together with the reservations we have lost all the details of the guests, including the card details. We did check in advance, but, unfortunately this issues are beyond us. We do apologies for the inconvenience.
