Room : the aircon hot and too noisy because of tha water machine in the pool. Bathroom : the floor slippery. Pool : wate so dirty. Staffs : not friendly and so arrogant.

Smooth check in/ out process. Friendly crew. Nice room. Overall having no problem with the hotel experience. However I do have suggestion for the hotel management. One night, I went to the square restaurant for dinner. Most of the menu were sold out. One of the remaining menu was Pastas with limited choices of sauce. I almost ordered penne aglio olio until I read on the menu that it contains white wine. As a Muslim who doesn't consume alcohol, I strongly believe that it isn't Halal. I then chose another sauce for my pasta...which I think would be Halal. As the hotel is located in a Muslim-majority area (Bangka, and Indonesia in general), Novotel should clearly inform on their menu which one is Halal, and which one is not. Being Halal isn't only "no pork no lard", but also should not include alcohol on the cooking process. The day after, I had breakfast on the same restaurant (buffet), and I saw penne aglio olio as one of the available food to take. Having known from the other night's experience, I didn't take it as my breakfast. But how many other Muslim guests who don't know about the alcohol-cooking-process of the aglio olio??

I like this hotel. Good service and helpfull staff. Overall i love this hotel. Ac need to be improved since it 24c in my room. And the hot water on the shower need to be check. Please compare the water from the shower and from jetwasher. Overall i love this hotel. The best in town!
