Great location beautiful grounds EXCELLENT FOOD, VERY HELPFUL STAFF, took my 4 months old and grandma for her 60th birthday celebration and they were absolutely fabulous. Catering staff attentive and nothing too much for them to do. All staff were very kind and generous. VERY FAMILY FRIENDLY. Nuffield health centre spa and steam room were complimentary and we had a relaxing time there. I highly recommend Letchworth hall and from my experience they deserve greater recognition despite some of the bad reviews. Afternoon tea...so much food! THANK YOU ALL at Letchworth hall!

We stayed overnight for a birthday celebration, at which the food and drinks were excellent -lots of choice and plenty of it. The waiting staff were pleasant and helpful. The bedroom was comfortable and fairly well-equipped. Shower was excellent once I had worked out how to switch it from the ‘bath mode’! Breakfast was included in the price of our stay, and was as expected. We did have issues with the bathroom. The toilet was difficult to flush -in fact the handle was a bit wobbly! The floor could have done with a better clean. We did report the toilet problem to reception and the housemaids.

Allocated room 3. Large comfortable room (executive room booked) with all appropriate facilities. Bed very comfortable.Some draught from the windows made the room feel cold initially but the curtains solved the problem Bathroom facilities disapponting in that the shower/bath tap was constantly dripping and could not be completely turned off and the quality of the towels were the worst I have ever experienced in any hotel. Bar food good quality but expensive. Breakfast provided everything and good quality Reception check in and check out friendly and efficient

Bed was very comfortable, room was a nice size and the meal included in the deal was very nice. Would say more amenities could be provided such as bath robes and £9 for a glass of prosecco is very expensive.

« Nice setting, a few room issues, overall good. »

Staff were overall very pleasant. I booked two rooms 1 for two nights the other for one. We were positioned at opposite ends of the hotel which I thought was odd as we had booked together and my mum saying in the room for 2 nights had her key deactivated halfway through the next second day and they didn't turn up to clean the room until 5pm by which time she told them to forget it. Our room had a very annoying generator buzz the whole time which we tried to drown out the tv but was very unpleasant. Luckily as we were going to a function we didn't have to spend too much time in the room. Breakfast was lovely as was the main hall and staff. We had used a voucher, and let's just say I'm glad we didn't pay full price.

I was very unhappy with the rate the room was in, we booked for a executive double and I think we had a standard double, the room was mouldy and paint on the wall was chipped everywhere. The staff at the desk especially the young girl with long black hair about 20-25 was extremely rude. Unhelpful.

The whole hotel needs a re-vamp from the hooks missing off curtains and cobwebs in the sun room to the carpet in the dining room which was a safety hazard. I and several other guests tripped over it whilst carrying plates of breakfast. I had to draw it to the attention of the restaurant manager and the next morning silver tape had been stuck over it. The rooms were dingy and there was mold in the bathrooms. The buffet breakfast was a nightmare with stocks of bacon, eggs and bread for toast continually running out. The rest of your breakfast became cold whilst you waited at least 10 minuets for supplies to be replenished. I asked for red bush tea and was given English breakfast tea and our meal in the evening was served very slowly. There was not enough gravy to go around the table and once again our meal was cold while we waited for more gravy to be served. I complained when checking out and was asked if I would like the customer service email address as the receptionist did not have the authority to deal with complaints. This is certainly not a four star hotel and what should have been a wonderful family weekend attending my nephews wedding proved to be a disappointing experience.

Dinner on first night was satifactory only.My wife returned her soup(too much pepper in cooking)and our choice of dessert(cheesecake)was unavailable after ordering.Noise from corridor interupted sleep occasionally where revellers were returning to rooms early morning.Breakfast and staff excellent.

The reception is not clearly marked when driving in and confusing. The front desk was appaling. 2 staff on and the lady who was stood there just stared at me with a look I usually see on my teenage nieces face. She then proceeded to go back to what she was doing leaving me standing there shocked!!! There was a young man who was turned away and I was only dealt with when he turned around. He was very pleaseant. The only saving grace was the breakfast and Gym, as the bed had tissues underneath and no remote control anywehere!

On arrival stay were very friendly and helpful. They had even gone out of their way to get us a congratulations card to help us celebrate. The bar staff were warm and friendly, as we're the waiting staff. The good was great too. The hotel was clean and we'll kept, the grounds were lovely to walk around.
