« Comfortable hotel with some olde world charm. »

The price was very good value as it included breakfast, three course dinner and a complimentary drink at the bar. The premises is surprisingly large - the lift is not close the reception desk for example. Food was great.

On entering the room it was very cold, in fact I had the air conditioning on all night at 31 degrees, and it did not warm up at all.

Nice hotel good food. Very good reception for my son. My room seemed to have a fan humming most of the night I think it was because it was close to the kitchen but it was surposed to be an excetive room. I would stay again but would ask for a room away from the kitchen

We had a wonderful early Valentines stay which was gifted to us following our wedding. The only cause for not scoring 10 was that our room (Willian Suite) was noisy early on the Sunday morning - we presume purely due to corridor traffic!

Relaxing and welcoming hotel but room 60 isn't really a superior room more of a budget room with its stained carpet, dirty toilet, quite a lot of dust, and patches on the door where the stickers used to be. Food in the hotel was lovely, and breakfast was good too. Overall our stay was really good, but the room let it down.

« A gr8 stay from start to end.... Cant wait to re visit. »

Wonderful. Staff very smart, polite and helpful. Everywhere clean. Bed room and main rooms presentable. A few areas around hotel in need of refurb but didnt take anything away from the stay. Added bonus use of gym, pool and sauna - again extremely polite and helpful staff If you only visit this hotel for the food alone you will not be disappointed. The tastiest food ive ever eaten in a hotel. We had afternoon tea, a 3 course dinner and breakfast and each was divine! ! Huge thank you to the chef!!

There was hair on the bedding, the bathroom wasn’t too clean and at dinner it took over an hour between starter and main course.

we upgraded from a standard room and the room was lovely, clean and tidy, had dinner in restaurant as it was included in our overnight stay, unfortunately we missed breakfast as we overslept. This was a 21st birthday gift and it was perfect I would definitely stay again.

Checked into room 88 - no Wi-Fi even though I had specifically asked for this at the time of booking - front desk moved me to an alternate room - still no Wi-Fi - front desk manager picked up the challenge and moved me to room 66 having first checked the signal strength - EXCELLENT SERVICE. Restaurant service excellent - food choices not so good. Only 1 beer (IPA) on draught was a little disappointing.

« Fantastic food, friendly staff but hotel a little tired in places »

We had a 1 night stay at the Mercure Letchworth hall with a deal including a 3 course meal and breakfast the next morning. When we arrived we were greeted by a smiling face and were quickly checked in. The room was quite small but more than adequate for what we wanted. We went in february so it was very cold and thr room was freezing but we soon realised that the rads were not on. The windows are single glazed which doesn't help. The bed was super comfy but the pillows were really hard. The room geberal needed a lick of paint but was clean and reasonably comfortable so no real complaints. The pool was lovely, very clean and great facilities. The food in the restaurant was exceptional both in the evening and morning. The staff were really friendly.and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I have stayed here twice now and overall, will certainly be coming back.

My partner and I stayed just one night and had an incredible meal in the restaurant. One thing I would add though is that our door wouldn’t lock and the safe didn’t work in the room. Everything else was lovely, amazing shower and bed and a really good night in.

« not bad, hotel a little tierd »

bed far too soft asked for receipt to be emailed, never was bothe recent stays the rooms were a little tiered but overall a nice hotel. I didn't get chance to try the pool which is good to have available. 2 stays 2 rooms, neither bathroom illuminated mirrors worked. 2nd stay on 17/1, the room was exceedingly warm even after I turned the radiator to min, I had to open the window.

Great staff, great healthclub F&B needs work - beg chili is terrible, no self serve coffee maker at breakfast Beds are horrible, routine stuff - working safes, working light fixtures in bathroom are neglected.
