It was unusually warm the week I was visiting Brussels. When we arrived at the hotel the lobby was warm and stuffy. The room also was very warm. A day later I heard that the main air conditioning unit for the hotel was out of service and the staff did not know when it would be fixed. I had a street side room so while opening the window help a little to cool the room it also made it difficult to sleep due to a lot of traffic noise. We also had meetings in the hotel and the conference room was almost unbearably warm. The neighborhood were the hotel resides is also not very nice. The last evening we stayed in the hotel the staff provided us with some fans for our rooms. That helped.

The experience was good, apart from the fact that the hotel was to warm. Both the communal areas and my room was unacceptably hot, even with AC on max

Rooms are good but AC was not working for all three days we stayed there. It is informed that AC was not working for last 15 days or so. It is so sad that inspite of the same, Hotel charged full rate which is unfair. It was 30C temp and without AC one can imagine the stay. And there is no Vegetarian (Without egg and meat) breakfast option, They charge full price without providing Vegetarian option.

The location is closed to train station. Overall is fine to me. I could get early check-in. Check out is fast. However, note air condition is not sufficient enough which I didn't have chance to report it.

Great location and staff helpful and friendly. Sadly the air conditioning was not working correctly in the hotel and the rooms were hot and could not do anything about it. Evidently a problem with the chiller This happened in the warmest weekend in Brussels..

« Helpful staff let down by the problem with the air conditioning »

Room nice, check in quick but when I got to the room it was really hot tried in vain to change the air conditioning which you could not turn off. In the morning told the hotel had an issue with the conditioning and trying to sort out a chiller. Still no improvement the next night but at least I got some of the window unlocked to get some fresh air.

Staff did not understand Flemish /Dutch (on the phone: ik spreek geen Nederlands, ik spreek geen Nederlands when I asked how to turn off the airco She even did not bother to look for someone else to help me) !! Sonday, Monday and Tuesday there were only English and French Newspapers !! With my previous experience this was most upsetting. From that moment I decided just to undergo my stay). I don't mind that people do not speak Flemish/Dutch but for such an internnational hotel chain in the capitol of Flanders/Belgium and Europe the management should not accept that.!! This cannot be tolerated.

Het spijt ons te horen dat uw verblijf niet aan uw verwachtingen heeft voldaan; hiervoor willen wij u dan ook onze oprechte excuses aanbieden. Ikzelf ben ook Vlaming (ouders Limburgers) en begrijp uw reactie.Al onze mensen aan de receptie spreken een basis Nederlands maar zijn van Frankrijk of franstalig.Echt Vlamingen is op de arbeidsmarkt niet meer te vinden voor onze mooie maar veeleisende sector.Als we eerlijk zijn met onszelf raken we niet erg ver met ons Nedelands.In Brussel kunt je heel goed leven met enkel de franse taal ofwel de engelse taal,spijtiggenoeg niet met Nederlands allèèn. 99% van onze gasten komen vanuit het buitenland dus engels en frans zijn de meestgebruikte talen.Voor de kranten heb ik ook even nagekeken deze waren bij de levering maar misschien hadden andere gasten deze reeds meegenomen. Wij stellen het op prijs dat u uw opmerkingen met ons heeft willen delen en wij hopen dat u ons de kans wilt geven om u in de nabije toekomst beter van dienst te zijn. Hoogachtend,

Your Hotel is very nice. The room is perfect, and we could watch the trains very easily! The shower room was excellent and was very clean. The bed was comfortable, and breakfast was good. It is in a very convenient position and I hope we can return some time.

Experience was OK, but - I know that knowledge of English is not required, but... staff that has contact with clients should have... - I have no idea why I had to extra deliver my Card to prove that I am silver -- if I made my reservation through the system -- computer error or human error? - AC is weak (even if fixed) - fitness area -- with need to run to reception to get towel???? not good
