« Well below ibis standard  »

This ibis was an unpleasant surprise. We have tried two rooms. The overall hotel smells bad. Both rooms we had tried had problems with the bathroom doors ( not possible to lock) and the bathroom fan didn't work at all. The first room was even worse: the sink was broken and badly fixed. In all, very bad experience, much below the well known ibis standard.

It was a short staying. But it was very good as it usually is. The breakfast was nice .Although It was not possible to have dinner I consider this hotel´s restaurant one of the best in Brasil.

During my stay everything was ok, but I´m having a real difficult time to get the invoicing correct. Everyone provides me different and contradictory information and no one is willing to help me.

Satisfaction for sleeping and room cleaned. Staff of service is very good. I recomend this hotel for my friends. I indend to return, because I stayed just one day in hotel. The bad can be better. I liked.

I've stayed at 12 different Ibis in Brazil (16 if you include Ibis Styles). I would say that this Ibis is above average and overall our stay was very positive. What we liked: our room has effective aircon, reliable internet, good sound proofing window, reasonable beds. Staff were fantastic. We booked a tour to Lencois through the tour agent in the lobby which was great. I particularly liked the fact that the room is slightly larger than other Ibis, and the older sheets (which has 2011 printed on the label) are good quality soft 100% cotton. The new sheets that are being used in other Accor hotels in Brazil (including Novotel, Ibis, and Mercure, are awful quality 50% polyester). What we didn't like: no water available other than bottled water (many Ibis are providing a water dispenser in their lobbies which is convenient and practical). I didn't like that the WIFI is cut off immediately upon check out. We were in the lobby organising our departure and we couldn't access the WIFI. The online check in experience is atrocious - and this has been my experience across almost all the accor hotels I´ve stayed in while traveling throughout Brazil (over 30 Accor hotels). We checked in online prior to arrival, yet none of the paperwork was prepared before our arrival, our keys weren't prepared, nor was our welcome drink voucher ready. In my opinion, Accor should immediately cease offering online check in at their Brazilian hotels because it saves no time whatsoever, and only creates false expectations. The other problem we had was with the Le Club points and invoicing. We stayed for 5 nights (2 nights booked under my friends name, then 2 nights booked under my name, then one night in Barreirinhas, and one further night at the Ibis booked under my name). Firstly, the system credited all the points for the first four nights to my friends Le Club account - even though the 3rd and 4th night were booked under my name and after the first two nights we checked out and asked for a invoice to be issued. Secondly, the first two nights were only credited as a one night stay which meant it didn't trigger the Le Club promotion (stay 4x2 night stays and earn 10,000 points). The front desk staff were able to fix part of the problem, but we will need to follow up with Le Club about the bonus point promotion. Thirdly, the invoice for the 3rd and 4th nights (which was booked under my name and paid for with my credit card) was invoiced under my friends name instead of my name. I asked for the front desk to fix this and was told that this was not possible since the invoice was already finalised. I am not sure how Brazilian law works, but in Australia it would be illegal to refuse to provide a correct invoice. So overall the stay was very good, but these administration problems were very frustrating.

- I used the online check-in and had to do a presential check-in anyways. So, something is not working properly within this flow. - Some TV Channels (including Globo TV) had bad reception.

It was basically fine. Four nights in 682; two nights in 578 due to an electrical problem. Hotel did not honor my Accor Silver 10% discount. Halls, especially on floor 5, were not vacuumed and trash was there for several days.
