« Great for exhibition, must stay ! »

This is the second times I stay here, Ibis hotel is too old now but services still the same. Tiny room but clean, window can not open wide which made me feel suffocating. Breakfast was a challenge when they have so much guest. The first breakfast was crazy cause food do not have enough at 8:30. Last 3 days, we went down at 7 am cause we dont want to wait for food. I think Ibis need to take care of their restaurant more. This hotel near many restaurants and i recommend the Phe Dinh which have a good bbq. Shopping mall is very big but dont impressive, you can walk beside the lake or enjoy many restaurants or bars, a nice city at night. Staffs was friendly and speak english well, very good for businessman. A good guy Jung and his friend has a hospitality but they need more people to help guest when checking out. Hotel do not have rooom service but they have family mart only 3 mins walk.

« Not recommend hotel »

I has stayed from 19-23 Mar 2018. There is new construction beside the hotel and it's noisy every nights & early mornings. I was changed room since the first night but new room still heard them again. I have asked new room again which is another side of hotel building, but staff only said it's full booked which is no option for me. One thing I really surprise, staff asked me to go down at the reception to get new key card for room changing but I told them that please send new key card to me with one guy to help me carry some stuffs because I already took everything out of my luggage. bathroom also not well as should be. I think there is some issue about sewer system. There are few days water didn't flow and flood in bathroom. The rest is fine.

I stay for 2 nights,8-10 March 20118, during these i felt welcome. The hotel location its quite strategic where opposite of SECC & just 5 minutes walk to Crescent shopping mall. Its consider new hotel, at District 7 of HCM, to find convinient store its easy, got 7/11 circle K & family mart. The staff, especially Mr June, its friendly & helpful. So it can be reconsidered to stay at these hotel again in futur

It was pleasant and adequate in meeting our needs. But the electricity surge on Monday (12 March 2018) was not a pleasant experience as we were stuck in the elevator for a few seconds. Overall, was OK.

« Great experience if excluding the experience with online booking »

I've booked the hotel room 2 days in advance using burn2stay program online but forgot to check the researvation confirmation by email. I didnt notice that it didnt work unitl I checked in. However, I've tried to book 2 more times on accor website using my points, but still the booking came out without points deduction (or so the receptionist said). And she also tells me that the staff doesnt allow to deduct the points for the customers, which I feel weird since I visited ibis Saigon South just last month and they still managed to do that. But at the end, I'm quite ok with her offer for room discount since she saw me struggling to re-book so many times.

« Poor Breakfast Service, »

I travel to HCMC Dist 7 regularly for work, and have been staying at IBIS on a regularly basis. This time it was such a let down! There's been a change of management? Breakfast was just terribly run. Day 2: No butter! Was told that there will be butter on Day 3. But come Day 3, still no butter! Is it so difficult for a hotel to provide butter for breakfast? Worse still, on Day 3, the Apple Juice dispensor was clogged (with debris?!) and the Korean guy in charge said they would clean it, "But not now". I shudder to think how much dirt was stuck in the dispenser! Also on Day 3, NO EGGS!! Was told that Eggs are coming soon! This is a business hotel, and guests usually dont have all morning for a leisurely breakfast. And we have to wait for eggs??? No butter. No Eggs. No Juice. Shameful! Separately, the usual soap dispenser in the toilet was replaced with 2 small bottles of soap/shampoo. This was not topped up for all 3 days (I stayed there 3 nights). And the bath towels were heavily perfumed, which is a real turn off for me. This is the worst that IBIS has ever been in the past 2+ years that I have frequented it.

« Selective customer service and treatment »

I booked 2 nights at Ibis Saigon South for 2 nights for 21 & 22 Dec 2017. My Vietnamese girlfriend was turned away, despite registering and our good track record of over 30 days at all other 5 Saigon Accor hotels between 2015-2017, alongside more stays together at other countries' Accor hotels. The customer service attitude and tone was not too polite, especially towards my girlfriend. I was told the hotel manager may consider our case appeal, but we never saw or heard from the person except through a post-stay email survey. The issue was resolved immediately when I wanted to book another room through Accor member app. I was asked by reception staff to book the extra room for 2 nights through them which was cheaper, though it turned out not-to-be, and the booking's points/nights were not credited into my member account either. We returned the welcome-drink coupon meant for 1. We did not feel welcomed at Ibis Saigon South. Rooms were clean and fairly well maintained likely other Ibis hotels. We left to stay at Accor Sofitel Saigon Plaza, and treatment we received there was so contrasting better.
