As a business traveller my first visit to Pullman Ambassador Chanwon was most enjoyable. The only improvement suggestion I have ..... to turn the lights completely out in the room required removing the security card from the slot. This was a hassle each time.

I was charged for breakfast the last day when i checked out early. Since i did not recieve the breakfast i should not be charged. I was told i could take that off if not needed when i checked in. Also, the shower was not clean and needed walls scrubbed.

Friendliness and service of staff is exelent. Restaurant: food is good, but it is quite noisy. The paper slip for breakfast seems not needed. Possibility for a little more real food in the lobby cafe would be nice f. Ex. a club sandwich. The above is not critique just feedback.

The hotel was very comfortable and had some good features including gardens, gym and pools. However, when I tried to use the indoor pool, which was advertised as a feature of the hotel, I was variously told I would need to pay 33000 won or 22000 won, which is nearly a whole month gym membership here in Australia. Found this to be disappointing and somewhat predatory. Also the bar prices were excessive.

« Lack of courtesy. Basic Amenities not free. »

Frankly, i don’t enjoy staying here. the sort of ‘manager of duty’ did not show any sign of courtesy when i requested for certain favor. The ‘supervisor’ of the restaurant also the same. i talked to the restaurant staff asking for favor.. he said he would have to ask his supervisor, i saw the supervisor only 10m away from me.. the supervisor don’t even have the courtesy to talk to me, and just let the staff handle the situation. another thing, the basic amenities was not free. i don’t understand. this hotel is not a 1 star or 2 star hotel. i have paid so much to stay in the hotel, and yet the basic amenties like toothbrushes & razor blade were not free? and cotton buds not available. credits to the conciege staff..

« This was a unique Korean experience. »

The stay was not restful. The draperies did not block out the blinking amber traffic light across from the hotel and the closet light went on and off all night. The closet light was reported to the front desk, but nothing was corrected. The only solution was to remove the card from the occupancy sensor to turn off all lights. Also the shower door is not correctly installed and caused considerable water to leak onto the room floor. Additionally, the lighting level was very low, and the sink did not have a usable lighted mirror.
