« Was ruined by the breakfast experience »

The room and check in was a typically good experience for your hotel. I have stayed 4-5 times before! But I invited a guest to join me for a breakfast meeting and prepaid an extra breakfast. The guest came with a colleague and instead of breakfast they just had a tea and a coffee. Your staff wanted to charge me for the drinks. When I explained I had prepaid an additional breakfast they told me it doesn’t matter the drinks are extra. This leaves me with a feeling of being cheated!

« I had a wonderful family break! »

Overall, my stay at the Novotel Moscow City was very positive. The staff were friendly and helpful. I very much enjoyed the convenient location of the hotel in Moscow city. To improve further the services, I would suggest for Security Guards to be more friendly to incomers into the building and hotel cleaning staff to reduce loud conversations in the hall during morning times. The food in the restaurant was delicious and waiters have been outstanding in service. Thank you Novotel for such a great treat!

Based on service during in hotel, the long queue at reception wasted me a lot of time. Even there were troubles with internal system, which caused that I did not receive the invoice till today. I've called and sent my request via email to hotel, but there is no reply...

Rooms where nice and clean. The frontdesk/reception was slow! We had to wait at the fast checkin (we where the only ones btw) but at the reception peopke prefered talking to each other rather then reaching out. Ones we where noticed it was nothing like fast checkin. It took like 10-15 minutes! When needing assistance from the room i called a few times. No one was picking up so i had to go out my room, down to the reception with my request. A last thing, when taking a shower, the water smells like an old smelly bottle of water. Something wrong woth the stockage of warm water boiler i guess.

I was very happy with almost everything about this hotel. It was nice. The room was a good size. Nice bathroom and shower. Excellent service for breakfast. And very good breakfast. The only issue I had was that the air conditioning / heating didn't seem to work properly.

Staff was helpful, kind and nice, even the cleaning lady speaks English. Buffet breakfast is rich, and with champagne. Room is super, looks like new. Cleanliness is perfect. Location is great, close to metro stations and to a huge shopping mall. Red Square is not far by metro. Eco-counsciousness.

« Upmarket area, close to shopping mall and good location »

I like the bed it was solid I slept well. Room cleanliness and housekeeping was good. We stay here for the exhibition at Expocenter it is walking distance. The mall in the middle of the hotel and Expocenter good for shopping, breakfast and dining. They have everything inside there. Happy hour is just 200-300 metre walk. However, service is very poor at the bar in the lobby. There is this particular fat guy that annoyed me with his service I have to repeatedly go back and ask him where is my drinks for many times! Luckily, we got this waiter name Andrey that takes care of our order. We were seated and noticed Andrey was the only one that is serious with his job and the rest just walk around talking doing nothing much. I hope the bar manager will take note and look into this. Overall, I like the location and the comfort of the hotel. Will definitely come back again.
