« Bad experiences/surprises while at the Mercure/Accord hotel in Goiania, Brazil »

I have two HUGE complaints: 1) The standard practice throughout the hotel industry is to charge the customer extra when he stays beyond the check-out time, which we told is twelve noon. We were booked through Feb. 20, which means in our case were checked-in and should have been charged until the end of Feb 20, which is 12 noon of Feb 21, according to standard practices. Instead, we were told that after 12 MIDNIGHT of Feb 20 we were into a new billing day and were charged on extra day (both Monica Rodrigues and her boss at the check-in counter told this). We were never told of this policy, and it is unheard of in the industry. We feel were cheated and deserve both an apology and a rebate for the extra day. 2) Our phone service to our room was, without warning, cut off the evening of Feb 20, before the end of our stay (regardless of your billing/stay policy). This is outrageous, unacceptable, and possibly illegal. Conclusion, these two very negative experiences dominate our feelings regarding our stay at the Mercure. Your dishonesty and lack of transparency lead us to conclude we will never recommend nor ever stay again at any Mercure/Accord hotel, especially any in Brazil

The staff was very kind. First, I got a very tiny room with no window. I requested a room with a window and I was upgraded which made my stay much more pleasant. Clean rooms, breakfast was good. Nespresso coffee which I love. Everything cool. If I get to go back to the city I would definitely book there again.

A very good experience. The hotel is well located and with a nice overall quality. Only complaint is that the shower was displaying problems. The bathroom features a traditional shower and detachable hand shower. We noticed that the main traditional shower was not working, just dripping a bit, and we warned the Reception the moment we were leaving for a city tour. They told us that they would fix while we were away and it would be solved when we got back. Yet, the problem was not fixed upon our return. Since we were staying just that other night, we didn't bother complaining again.

We stayed at the hotel because we need to attend to a wedding. At the time we were getting prepared, the hairdryer was not working. I called reception and they said they would try to get another one. Some time later ( I was getting late for the wedding) I called back and they said all the hairdryers where being used and there was nothing they could do. After some verbal fight I got a hairdryer and was late for the wedding. When you go to a hotel you expect some basic things to be working. If there is a problem you expect the problem to be solved and not to hear the phrase: there is nothing I can do.

Only one large towel and one small one, normally you would have 2 large ones No soap to wash the hands The table on top of the mini fridge was full of crumbs (of some cookie or chips) - dirty!

I had many problems with my recent stay at this hotel: - the reserved room was ugly, with no windows !!! Unbelievable i've never seen a room like that before. - staff at reception desk promptly change my reservation and allocated me a new room (now with windows!!!) - after that, I had 4 issues of magnetic key not working - at the second day, when I returned to the room, it had not be cleaned (I had to call the staff about it) - at the third day, the breakfast room was a mess...

I stay at this hotel once a month. The rooms are good, the breakfast as well. I recomended to advise the waiters (breakfast) to do not take the dishes from the table before confirming the guest has finished. I left a full dish on the table and went to the buffet to take some water and when I came back the dish had been taken.

I made the reservation through the Accor app, and insert some needs for my stay. The clerk that made my check in ( unfortunately I forgot his name) was amazing ,noted every requested and fill them. The accomodation was very nice. The restaurant with jazz section was nice , meal also. Next time I will choose the hotel again. Team very friendly and funky, location nice as well.

3 main complaints 1) Towel quality - very poor quality and clearly many years old, the smell was not good either. 2) Air conditioner - in my room the air was leaking on the carpet and at the moment I turned the TV off to sleep that dripping sound made me very uncomfortable 3) Air conditioner position - the air outlet is right on top of the bed, there are no comfortable temperatures to set because of this
