I was very happy with Mercure Goiania! The staff was very friendly, and the rooms were extremely spacious. There was a mini-bench, a resting area, a nice table, and a big shower. These made my stay very pleasant. I also enjoyed the view from a big open area near the elevators. This hotel is great for women as well because there is a beauty salon in the lobby. I would have just liked more towels in the room, and the room lacked an iron, but the staff let me borrow one.

The staff is polite and attentive. The bedroom is clean and comfortble. The restaurant is lovely (a special star for Eduardo, the waiter, he is great). The hotel is very well located. The problems are: the water of the shower wasn't so hot, the air conditioning was very hard to control the temperature (almost always very cold) and the food of the dinner wasn't so good, specially the dress of the ceasar salad and the bruschettas. The hotel and the rooms are ok, no complaints. However enforcing the staff to start mastering English might be a good idea. Sometimes it was very hard to communicate with the staff. The WiFi is horrible, in fact unusable.

OVERALL A VERY PLEASANT STAY. ON 2 NIGHTS THERE WAS A BAND DURING DINNER PLAYING RATHER LOUD WHICH INTERFERED WITH CONVERSATION. WOULD HAVE PREFERRED TO BE QUIETER.

It was a great experience, I believe it was my second time in the hotel, and as usual, all the staff were very gentle, friendly and always trying to do their best. The only inconvenient was the FOOD of the restaurant, tasteless. Otherwise, everything was great.

Your hotel is a joke ! I've stayed in a lot of bad hotels across the globe, but the level of unprofessionally and lack of service provided by your staff, puts Mercure as number one on the list of worst hotels I've stayed in. Ever! I came to Brazil to attend a friends graduation and the organizers suggested this hotel, due to its proximity to the convention center. Based on the pictures online I decided to stay here. Worst mistake I've ever made. I booked one night initially and then decided to stay another night since I was too exhausted to go back to my friends house in a different city. I'm gonna point out everything that went wrong so that you can have an idea of what my experience was! •slow check in, not friendly and very dry front desk agents • no iron boards or iron in the room, when they Told me on the phone that such items were provided. •called front desk twice and requested an iron, it took them 45 minutes to bring "just the iron" and it didn't even work properly "iron was leaking water" • had to iron the shirt on top of a towel on the desk "nearest electrical outlet" •Nespresso machine in the room was filthy dirty and water tank stunk pretty bad! •room wasn't properly cleaned before I checked in . An old "guest amenity fruit platter" was sitting on the table. Fruits were already rotten and smelling bad with ants crawling around it. •curtains in the room don't close properly, so if you're sensitive to light, this could bother you . • only two towels provided in the bedroom •ran out of towels and had to call the front desk several times for more towels and never got it . •ran out of water in the room, tried to buy one as I walked in and front desk agent literally couldn't get me one. The same agent told me to go the room and call room service, when they have a bar right next to front desk. Yes this really happened !! •breakfast buffet was decent, however, milk in the machine was out! Asked for more milk and she pointed to the thermal container, but that milk was cold. I politely told her that the milk was cold and she didn't even offer me to get some more milk. • at this point, I'm on my second day and still waiting for more towels, by the way ! •had the filet parmigiana at their restaurant. It is terrible ! Rice was cold and so was the potatoes. •waitress took my order and then disappeared. "Chef" or a kitchen staff brought the food to the table, dropped off and walked away. Never saw anyone else after that. I needed some condiments, more drinks and no one ever came back . • at this point I couldn't care less if they had dessert, since I wasn't gonna be able to order one anyways. • waited for almost 30 minutes to see if someone would show up and finally got up and went to the kitchen, same kitchen person who dropped my food, gave me my bill, I paid and went back to my room. •still no towels •stopped at front desk and asked him for a towel and he insisted in telling me, he'd send it to the room. Almost an hour later and no sign of a towel, I called again . •New front desk agent tells me he doesn't know anything about a towel request and says that he's going to put in and order . Finally, 15 minutes later I get a towel. • went to dinner "outside the hotel" didn't wanna take a chance afte what happened at lunch. Plus who wants bad food accompanied by bad service? •came back from dinner and one of my friend who lives in town came over to see me and spend time since I had to go back to Nashville the next day. We talked for a while. Found out later they they charged me $80 bucks for a partial stay, for having someone come visit me! never heard of such a charge, and I've been traveling overseas since I was a teenager !!! I understand your needs of generating revenues for the property, however this is a disrespectful and poor way to treat a guest who already paid you almost 400 reais for one of your most expansive rooms. Had I been told upfront that I would be charged for having a friend come up to my room , I guess I would have felt a little less taken advantage of and possvily never even stayed there ! •brought all the issues I've had up until then to the front desk agent and he basically just looked at me and and said that there was nothing he could do and encouraged me to call the customer relations number and explain them the situation. Basically, he told me that he wasn't entitled to help a guest in any way, should a issue arose! No manger on duty ! So, your hotel claim to offer a service that you clearly don't provide! I should have gone to Castros park hotel. Even tho is a bit older, Iheard they are known for superb service. I'm regretting for not staying there! I am really disappointed with my experience and I'm writing this on my travel blog and also posting this on as many travel sites as I can, such as travelocity, Orbitz, hotels.com Kayak, and definitely on TRIP ADVISOR in hopes to keep Savvy travelers from going through the same thing I did. The one star they got from me should go to "Shirley" at the bar. She's the only reason why I didn't walk out and went to stay the rest of the night someplace else. She was super polite and personable, plus she makes the best lattes EVER, and is by far the most courtious and professional employee I encountered in this establishment. Manager was nowhere to be found!

Althought the hotel staff is outstanding, including housekeeping, maintance, front desk, there was a terriable smell on the commun area of the hotel. I belive that you guys need to change the carperter. Cheers

Excelent hotel with polite and well prepared crew. I had total assistance at my check in including with help carring mt luggage. The hotel is well located with plenty offer of taxi and neste bus stop with different lines.

Hotel with very good and clean facilities and gentle and responsive staff. Few improvement opportunities: 1. A/C unit on fan in front of our bed and temperature auto control not available made me feel cold during the nights; 2. it seemed to me someone has washed the carpet on my floor corridors but there were no drying fans/machines, the natural drying process was creating a strong and annoying smell. 3. Breakfast was very good byt pricey.
