« Relaxing stay at the Hotel Ibis, all needs were met and staff were very kind and helpful. »

It was overall a lovely stay. The one recommendation I would make is that shampoo, conditioner, and other basic toiletries are provided in the rooms.

The manager on duty when I checked out is unethical. She told me the hotel would be willing to adjust my booking, because of the ceiba flight cancellation that caused me to have to leave a day early. After I left and hotels.com attempted several times to get the refund for the last night, she has been dishonest and is now refusing to refund me, despite giving me her word.

The Staff were polite and alive to their responsibilities. However English language was a bit problematic. I paid for 4 nights and by right am entitled to the daily issuance of an item as pedestrian as the Ibis hotel last minute kit. Despite my explanation that the shaving stick was to be used once and disposed off, the female receptionist kept arguing that I don't need to shave daily. She had the effrontery to query if I use it as a disposable item in my home as if she was the one picking the bills. Until my departure none was given to me. I didn't find this incident funny. Also recharging of the cards(keys) was another interface not seamless. Despite repeated reminders, you will end up climbing up and down the stairs over a simple administrative procedure. This could be due to language constraint. Otherwise my stay at Ibis hotel Malabo was quite an exciting experience which I intend to repeat.

It was a nice experience. However, the staffing should have a balance of english, french and spannish speakers as most of the staff do not understand english. The Chef's breakfast buffet was exeptional.

Hotel is well-located, rooms are comfortable. However, reception staff needs basic customer service training. Receptionist, Jesús Salvador, seemed moody and constantly grumpy - could not force a smile upon himself under any circumstances (we tried, in vain). At check-out asked him to call us a taxi, he rang one person, who was unavailable. Then said that taxi was unavailable (do they have only 1 contact?) and we had to arrange for taxi ourselves (which meant walking with bags to the nearest road to try to catch one). Not a big deal, but, surely, front office of an Accor property should do better than that.
