« A so so experience this time around »

I usually enjoy my stays at Ibis properties but this time a few things weren’t as good as they should have been: Pre arrival I called to see if they had received a large, 44 kilo package. It was there but they couldn’t find it! They eventually found it after much insistence. Check in was cold and I had to remind them of my courtesy check in drink for Accor members The ac in my room was not working right.

« Very good accomodation , but a bit far away from the city center or hotelzone »

It was difficult sice I didn't get my luggage in time (only 53 hours too late) , so I had to adjust . The staff is very helpfull though , the only thing that bothers me is that I had requested an early check-in (possible if you believe their website) , but they didn't care to answerand when I showed up at 08.30 , as I mentioned in my mails , I still had to wait untill 15:00 to get my room . The breakfast is ok , the rooms very clean and big enough , there is a small supermarket below and a very big shopping center at 100m where you can also find the local transport. A positive experience !

« Worst Ibis I've ever stayed in. »

Well, it was a disaster. It's dirty and shabby. I'm dam serious, stain and dirt like EVERYWHERE. First, they give me the room with a hole on the bed. I asked for another one. After some long discussion and room checking they gimme another one. There was a white stain covering all chrome parts in the bathroom, a poop skidmark in the toilet, rust stains in the shower. I decided just to stop looking for another room and just go to sleep. But anyway, I was SOOOO DISAPPOINTED that even now I'm barely able to find the right non-offensive words to describe how bad it was. When I go to IBIS I expect standart Ibis quality like in Russia, London or else where. For me it's some kind of a DISCRIMINATION that Ibis in Mexico is much worse than anywhere else. It was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. And I've seen A LOT. Fix it, this is unacceptable!

Everything was good the only thing that slightly bothers me was the cleaning personnel starting to clean about 9am on weekends I guess most guests at Cancun arrives late on Fridays and Saturdays and is not nice hear so much noise so early

« A terrible experience »

Rooms smaller than a motel; the checkout is super early, had to pay late checkout; couldnt plug my HDMI to my tv as I requested, the showers are awkward as you cant turn on the water without splashing yourself (not to mention the size is super tiny, I think a couple of people I know couldnt even fit in the damn thing) breakfast is super expensive, toilet paper was as cheap as it goes; nobody tells you there is a parking lot, since there is valet parking nobody bothers, and you end up paying a lot for parking... overall, a terrible experience, I will not be going back.

We enjoy staying here when we’re in Cancun before going to the airport. The breakfast buffet is very good. We like to eat dinner in the pizza and pasta restaurant on the premises. it’s excellent. Everything here is clean and comfortable at a reasonable price. Right by a big mall, Plaza de Las Americas. I wouldn’t bother to check any place else to stay because we’re always satisfied here.

I did not enjoy my stay. There weren’t any face towels and we were only allowed new bath towels once during our stay. The food was horrible. If I would have known there was a mall with a food court across the street I would have enjoyed it more.

« I have stayed at Mercure and Ibis in London,Spain, Portugal and now Mexico, and I will NEVER stay in an IBIS in Mexico again, or will I encourage others to stay there either. »

The room smelled, had no ventilation, the beds were NOT like the beds made for IBIS in Europe, and had a plastic sheet under the main sheet which just cause us to sweat profusely. The room had no ventilation, OR any way to control the temperature in the room which resulted in a hot , muggy and humid room, which coupled with plastic sheets makes for an uncomfortable stay. We were told there was free parking online, but when we arrived it was Valet ONLY and cost $30 pesos a night. We spoke to the woman at the front desk and she just shrugged and didn't care. We have stayed at Mercure and IBIS in London, Spain, Portugal and now Mexico, and we will NEVER stay in any of your hotels in Mexico again.
