« Renovation is an emergency!!!! »

The localization is nice, but too old and dirty for a Mercure Hotel! The carpet has at least 25 years....or looks like this. TV was not working properly, the air conditioning was broken and you can hear the conversation in the rooms around. Luckily we booked only one night!

i am a club accor platinum member and i have visited so many accor hotels. this one was not up to accor standards, rooms are old, bathroom is very old and so many leakings.

« Hotel is very shabby and needs carpets and decorating ,room cleaned well each day but badly needs maintenance. »

The hotel is very shabby and badly needs decorating throughout .The carpets on the stairs leading to room is threadbare and does not fit properly .walls need decorating .We stayed in room 207 and the air conditioning was very poor .The handle on the bathroom door was hanging on by 1 screw and the paintwork In the bathroom was split and flaking .The handle on the shower cubicle was broken and the toilet roll holder was hanging off .However the beds were clean and room and bathroom were tidied every day to a decent standard . I would not stay here again and would not recommend to anyone . The reception staff were helpful and friendly . This hotel badly needs money spent on it if it seriously wants to compete in a city like Paris . My experience would put me off booking with Mercure again .

« worst hotel experience »

i am sorry to say that this was my worst hotel experience worldwide. when i arrived, i found that the duplex i paid for is in the annex of the hotel, 3rd floor, without elevator. i carried our 3 heavy bags on the stairs. the room was not clean enough especially the ground. shortly, we noticed that the AC is not working. when we mentioned this, we were requested to stay till the next day and see. in the next day, we moved to another room (not duplex) in the main building, after we placed our stuff, we found that also the AC is not working! i asked the reception again, who told me to go to another room, and here the AC was working, but the door does not close well! when i showed it to the reception guy, he responded in a very rude way and kept shouting and screaming and left me! i went down and asked to do checkout immidiately and took my luggage in the streets looking for another hotel till i found one in the same area with professional and nice attitude, clean room. even the refund did not happen till after 5 days (when i arrived back! in general, that was my worst experience

This hotel was run down, the 3 flights of stairs to get to our room was lined with delaminated carpet in filthy condition! The TV in the room was not wired in(in fact it felt like they were getting ready to demolish) the walls had holes in the wall and delaminating wallpaper, bathroom door was very narrow so if one was even slightly a large person it would be difficult to get in to it! Shower was almost unserviceable! The overall part of the hotel that we were given should have been less than half a star and we were told on the internet that it was a four star hotel! Complete lie! We will never again stay in an ACCOR hotel!

« Adequate accommodation, premises a little shabby »

Booking and check in process was smooth and efficient, and courteous. Beyond a greeting on entry or departure this was the only interaction I had with staff. The rooms are small but adequate, if in need of a little updating. The accommodation was expensive when compared to more luxurious facilities that are not very much more costly, and the atmosphere is a bit sterile, and very little ambience that made one inclined to spend time in the hotel. The situation is excellent. What little service I had need of was efficient.

It's very convenient for the guest to go anywhere in town. Also there are few restaurants and massage shops nearby. The reception are friendly and helpful. The environment of hotel is friendly and relax however the room is a little bit tight space.

« Cozy four star in an excellent location »

While checking in I mentioned to the receptionist that my wife was having problems with her knees so she put us in a ground floor room with a walk in shower. The room was very comfortable with cold air conditioning. The breakfast was great and we were allowed to check out at 1pm. Will definitely stay there on our next visit.

« Hotel worn down . Needs a good cleaning »

Really disappointed by this hotel. The room is really old, spider webs in all corners, really need a cleaning. I asked to have a wake up call and told them it was important and they didnt wake me up. They did apologize but still this is a shame.

« Excellent location, narrow room »

The hotel has an excellent location and the staff was friendly and helpful. Those are the two only things that I found outstanding. The rest of my experience was quite disappointing, starting for the lack of internet connection in the hotel, that was really annoying. The room was small, the bathroom was really tiny: I even found difficult to get into the shower. The room decor was outdated, with a floor to ceiling mirror that was quite uncomfortable and an empty canopy on top that looked really scruffy. There were not enough plugs to charge our devices, we had to unplug either the lamp to charge them. Not toiletries at all in the bathroom. Toilet paper was on a shelve as there was no space. Not extra drinks or amenities in the little fridge. The coffee and tea area was not restocked in our second night. As for the bedding, it was quite annoying to see observe the bed was nor properly done and the non-fitted sheet was loose; I had to remake the bed everyday. No extra pillows either. The room for clothes was really narrow. In conclusion, I think that the relation quality-price was very low for being a Mercure hotel. Next time, I will not stay again in that hotel for sure, and will look for a better option for my money. Thank you.

I was in the room n. 304. The room did not look decent at all: the bed was good but moquette, wallpaper, curtains and the cabinet looked old, shabby and dirty, and the air conditioning was not working properly. The room was noisy due to the noise caused by the closing of the doors of the rooms which were very closed to my room. The chairs in the breakfast area were shabby and dirty looking.

« Not very enjoyable »

Well first, there was no wifi for 97% of my stay. We had a leak in our bathroom and we had to switch rooms at 4:30 am to the other side. No one helped us. The AC did not work in either room we had and it was difficult to sleep with the heat. Overall didn't really enjoy my stay there.

The staff were wonderful. However the rooms that we stayed in were very dated. Plaster was cracking in places and the curtains were dusty. The standard room we booked didnt have running hot water. Luckily the concierge upgraded us free of charge to the Prestige suite. However the shower there did not work appropriately. We thankfully did have hot water but the shower head was pointing at the door of the entrance to the shower which was not properly sealed- thus leaking water. After five nights of this our bathroom was constantly drenched in water which was both unsanitary and a hazard to myself and my wife. I want to stress that the staff were wonderful but the hotel does not meet the four star standard it has advertised.
