From the moment we walked in, everyone was extremely helpful and welcoming. The service was top notch throughout and the staff was very accommodating to our nighttime work schedules. Water and snack items were constantly restocked. The room was very nice with good air conditioning and clean amenities.

I would like to share one incident here. I had left my phone charger in the room. I did speak to a few of your staff members including Reshma. Reshma was really understanding and she sent me a new charger from Chennai as they did not find it in the room; though earlier interactions with other staff members were not encouraging. During the interactions i also came to know there was some Mr. Manish who stayed there and had left there charger in the same room as well. I would like to give just one suggestion that there are some power sockets on the right side of the television which are facing towards the window and are normally hidden from the eye sight. People are bound to forget their electronic equipments there. It will be good if those sockets can be shifted in some other location in the room. It will save people from a lot of inconveinience.

1. Staff are generally friendly. 2. It impresses me the most was the hotel personnel did drop me an email to ask about the damaged luggage that I have left behind 3.I found the water outlet of kettle could be cleaned better. That wasn't any slipper/lotion/hair conditioner avail in room till a call to helpdesk.

It was not as I would have expected for this brand. I've stayed at Novotel in Bangalore and that was a fantastic experience. This was not. AC does not work in the room. Barely cooled the room. No AC in the corridors at all. Outside of door was fully wet due to the humidity. I understand from my colleague who has stayed there before that this was the same situation in Feb. So apparently they're turning off the AC intentionally Breakfast was pathetic. The food was really terrible - Dosa' was burnt, the curries so spicy that even an Indian cant' eat it. So much so that I did not bother going in for breakfast or eating at the hotel again.

My rating for various amenities are as follows: Quality of room - 9/10 Housekeeping - 9/10 Breakfast - 9/10 Staff at breakfast place - 9.5/10 Staff at front desk - 6/10 Room Service - 6/10 I had booked thru Nokia Travel Booking Tool. For all Nokia employees staying in Novotel, daily free drop to office and pickup back from office is provided. But in my case that wasn't provided as they told me that I booked in a separate scheme. Though I had booked thru Nokia corporate scheme, I didn't say anything about that and went to office and came back on my own. But when they told me that free drop to airport is also not provided, I felt let down and had to argue with the front desk staff. I have booked for another stay from 28th June to 25th July (28 days) for 3 persons, and that was also booked thru Nokia corporate scheme. There everything is provided. So why this sort of double standards for Nokia corporate scheme? The tariff is the same for my current stay as well as future stay. I had 2 bottles of beer from the bar. While I was checking out, it was billed as 3 bottles. I asked the front desk person to take out the hardcopy of the bill that I had signed. He reluctantly took it out and we saw I had signed only for 2 bottles, but someone had put a very faded stamp on that for 3 bottles. He reduced the price of 1 beer from that bill.. This sort of bill fabrication is never expected from a hotel of your repute. Whenever I call room service and ask for additional bottles of water, they don't sound very enthusiastic and the bottles are delivered after 30 minutes or 1 hour.. Among all the hotels that I have stayed in OMR during my various trips to Chennai, this is the only place where I faced such bad experiences..

Upgraded to premier rooms, very nice. Well equipped and roomy. Nice beds, great shower. Only the TV box didn't work and didn't get fixed even after I reported it. Not the biggest of deals, still satisfied. Wifi worked great, restaurant is good too.
