« No paper invoice anymore? really? »

bad customer experience - in facts, when i approached the lady this morning at the receptions deks, she said the printer would be soon taken away and you would not hand over paper invoices anymore. When i told her this was "a bad customer experience" - she asked me "why"?. And i told her that i was not asked my opinion adn i like to have a paper invoice that i can hand over in my company expense report system and keep as proof. The lady looked at me and said "so?". "so this is why i do not like you idea to remove paper invoices and this is what i call a bad customer experience - but you dont seem to care" she tunred to the printer, took 5 deep breaths and retunred smiling - here is your paper invoice. I also asked for an envelope.. +++++++++++= bad service - bad experience - not listening to your customer - don't care about you customer - only care for my easy and profit

« comfortable bed, clean room, but somewhat strange atmosphere »

check in was very friendly and efficient; room nice, clean and comfortable; took a very long time to get served at the bar; breakfast choice was very good but the atmosphere was strange - I felt awkward being on my own (I very frequently travel on my own and never had it that strong before); the gym was a bad experience - 2 guys without shirt exercising and weights starting at 4 kg, cleary not welcoming for female guests

« Quality service, Beautiful, helpful staff, ideal GYM for hardcore guys, top quality food. »

We were visiting hotel with a small 10 months child. We got quality room, with a chair, table and bed for the child. At breakfast cooks made special foods for him, because of milk allergy he have, really top quality service! Late check in was fast. As a hardcore bodybuilder, i found out the gym and was happiest person there, they had a SQUAT RACK with extra 165kg of weight, which is rarely ever possible elsewhere. Only 3-5mins easy walk til sprinter, 1 station to airport or back. 24mins to city Centrum, 15min with fast train. You could buy tickets at hotel, that way you save money and time, you dont have to wait ques in public areas. Hotel system is perfect. Good Wi-fi. Very cozy first floor, nice seats and tables, a house for kids. You basically dont even need to go out of the hotel :D Food was amazing, tried only breakfast, but i got the protein i need, you could choose from quite a lot different things, i am from Norway, but i was surprised by the quantity and quality of food in This Hotel. Beautiful, helpful staff, helped us with everything, since we got some problems with our stroller on the airport, they forgot to deliver it to us. I have to recommend this hotel for everyone, especially families or people who likes to train. THANK YOU!

« Amazing Hotel »

Enjoyed a fantastic stay at the hotel, only for two nights but we hope to make a return visit next March for longer. Staff were so helpful and what a great idea having the use of the mobile phone was, it really made a difference getting around Amsterdam.

« I location and customer service is great, but I had several problems with my room. »

I booked an executive room specifically for the added convenience of the coffee machine and mini bar. The first day, my coffee machine was not working. The staff was polite and the coffee machine was replaced. The new machine worked for 1 day, then had problems as well. By that time, it was not worth having it replaced again. I am surprised that there was not even an offer of a complimentary cup of coffee for my inconvenience. The last day of my stay my room was not serviced. I mentioned at checkout and receive a polite apology. I was unfortunately left with the feeling that employees are trained to politely apologize, but that the input is never sent to management. As a business manager, I would want to know when problems arise in case there is a systemic problem.

« Overall it was good, but some key issues made it less than normal »

Overall it was fine, excellent service and welcome. However the maintenance of the room was not up to standard. The bottle of wine that was in the exec room, was half empty and there was no bottle opener, making it difficult to open the other bottles. On the second day I asked one together w room service and they promptly brought one, that was nice. The wine bottle was a let down. The bathroom was not as clean as I am used to

« good novotel quality (with a great restaurant/breakfast "room") »

clean room, comfortable bed, good breakfast, good restaurant, fast wifi, friendly staff, hotel 100 m from the train station. If I'd be looking for details I'd say that the sofa is the cheap element in the room that kind of break the overall quality of it. the paper-like fabric, looks and feel cheap, is always rippled and more often than not stained. Also, the gym is definitely too small and under-equipped. Other Novotel around Europe gives a nicer experience there. When you see the size of the hotel, especially of the restaurant area, it's a pity to have dedicated a closet to the "in balance" experience. Last point, but that probably says a lot about the overall quality (and honestly probably merely the "freshness") of the hotel: please build an extension with more rooms because it is more often than not fully booked and that's boring as the other hotels in neighborhood are clearly one notch below in term of experience. When I'm Hoofddorp, the Novotel is always my first choice.

« General Overview »

Generally I am pleased to stay in Novotel. Nice staff with a very good design. It is close to FedEx building and train station. On the other hand I believe that there was an issue in your system. I sent mail for 2 days stay but in system it was updated as 1 day. Anyhow staff of the hotel was so helpful and manage to arrange my same room for my next day stay. Thank you.
