The hotel was as expected, clean and comfortable. My score of 7 is simply because I struggle with rooms where windows don't open. Unfortunately I never expect to get a good night's sleep in a modern business hotel because I find the rooms stuffy and claustrophobic. If I had not simply been looking for a pre-flight bed, I would have sought out a more traditional hotel (with windows that open)

« Overall Very Happy with our Stay »

Accommodation was adequate for my family of 4. Facilities were great. I just found that the basin doesn't work properly, the basin plug had to be removed completely to let the water out. Also the plastic cups provided could not be used, they broke all the time before even being used. I know they are disposable but not very durable to handling. Also new paper cups in the room were always provided everyday, so we had to get paper cups from the ice dispensing machine to use. I do not mind using paper cups as there is a sign that says that porcelain cups can be provided but i would expect new cups at least so that we can enjoy a fresh cup of coffee everyday. I found the cleaning of the room to be mediocre. It was not very good cleaning. My son had a blood nose and a spot of blood landed up on his bed sheets. He slept in those sheets till the day we left. Normally on a longer stay more than 3 days, fresh linen is provided after 5 days at least. I know you saving the planet and everything with less water but i wouldn't expect to sleep in the same sheets for 9 to 10 days in a 4 star hotel.

The room was very nice.. comfortable, clean and trendy. Location is very convenient for a business trip, just 5 mins walk from a main train station and 25 mins from Central Amsterdam. Breakfast is quite expensive though at 21Euros.. not many alternatives around except for a small café across the road.

I did enjoy my stay however situated on floor two, my window looked onto a flat roof, so when it started raining through the night, it sounded loud and kept me away awake until the early hours. Otherwise everything thing else was perfect.

Good and the following would have made it better: (1) I could not pay with my corporate credit card in the dinning area for a couple of days (I was told issues with the system), (2) the gym equipment needs regular maintenance (one treadmill was not functioning properly (seriously out of balance) and one of the bikes also had a function issue. You used to provide hand lotion but that trip it was not provided?

« Good hotel for a long layover »

The short version is that it's a good hotel for a short stay, such as a long layover. The interior looks nice (particularly downstairs) and is well maintained. The location is also conveniently close to a train station, which is not too far from the airport. The location itself is not very inspiring (what seems to be a business park), but for a hotel that probably mostly caters to people with a long layover and people on business, it's fine. The staff is very friendly. I did get the impression that a fair number of the staff is learning/interning there (which is fine, of course). The breakfast I'm less impressed with. Some bits of it was great (e.g. the bread and jam), other bits not so much. Most warm dishes looked overcooked (most noticeable in the scrambled eggs) or were lying there for a while, and there was no live cooking station for a fresh omelette, or an a-la-carte option. Still, it beats most airport food.
